Awesome little campground. Reservations are required for this site. Rangers roll try through the AM and ticket those who don't have reservations. Nice bathrooms and easy access to climbing.

Camping is available inside the park, call ahead or visit website to check. While Jumbo Rock is super popular, we went with the lesser known Ryan campground and it was amazing - boulders, fields of joshua trees, and some serenity can be found. Its a smaller campground - about 30 sites, but some privacy can be found. We saw people climbing the rocks throughout - follow rules and be careful! Enjoy beauty in the backyard of southern California.

Perfect place! Fresh air! But You need to book a place in advance. All seats are booked for 2 months in advance.

We enjoyed our stay here and loved climbing all over the rock formations. The campground was clean and the bathrooms weren't bad. We have electric dirt bikes that we rode to different areas of the national park to see more of the sights. It was an absolute blast!

Best campground in the park!! Every site is so spacious, the boulders and foliage are incredible and provide plenty of shade. The bathrooms are well kept with sooo many rolls of toilet paper (why?? Lol) and the trash cans are basically empty and easy to access. No potable water on site so come prepared people! My only complaint is the teens in the campground being rowdy and blasting music/hooping and hollering til past midnight on a Thursdayโ€ฆ but thatโ€™s nothing against the beauty of the park itself, so my five star rating still stands.

Campground host Roger, was terrific. We arrived and someone was in our spot (they were not there but their truck was) and he helped us get an even nicer space. I do think the park should do better to verify campers. It was a bummer to drive 8 hours and have someone in our space.

Great place inside Joshua Tree National Park to camp and climb! Bathroom facilities are clean and well taken care of! No running water. Bring at least the one gallon per person

Solid camping spot, the best spots here are on the perimeter, so you're not in the space of others camps, and get unobstructed views of the area. Being close to the Headstone climbing rock is a huge plus, we woke up extra early to be first on the rock, super important if you want to climb in cool weather. Otherwise you're stuck waiting for larger guided groups to take over the rock, and waiting turns. If you expect a first come first serve site, I'd recommend getting there some time Thursday for the weekend, Friday everything is usually taken.

Great campground in general. Close to some good hikes and good location. Bathroom was also stocked with LOTS of toilet paper. As with most other campgrounds, no cell reception.

Thereโ€™s a walk-in site for hikers and bikers. Plenty of space for several tents and there are a few tables. Beautiful rock as backdrop.

Beautiful nature. Campsite was great but they put huge borders so we were weren't able to get closer to the table and BBQ. Was a problem for me. My walking is very bad. Not a good place for disabled people like me. And my dog was not allowed on the trails not even with leash. Not going back. Way to difficult for me.

A lovely campground. The amenities are the same as the other campgrounds in the park. This one differs in that it has more expansive views while still being close to the rocks and Joshua trees. There are a few hikes that connect to the campground and a few people are even climbing right from their sites. Beautiful.

What's not to love about a place named after yourself? All jokes aside, this campground was the perfect place to find peace and quiet out in the desert and is a perfect place to do astrophotography! My partner and I were able to see numerous shooting stars and the Milky Way there!

Cant go wrong with joshua tree. Anywhere in the park is beautiful. But this campsite was really nice. It felt private and secluded enough and the views were spectacular. Bathrooms are close by. No water so make sure to bring your own to wash up. There is a bbq pit and standing bbq for cooking. Bring tons of water as it can get extremely hot. You also park very close to your site which was awesome so you dont have to lug everything around. The views at night are insane. Ive never seen so many stars. It was a lot of fun. I would recommend.

Nice spacious campsite with dedicated picnic table, grill and fire pit. Vehicle is not allowed to park on the assigned campsite, but there is parking space right by. Pets allowed. No water available in this campgroud.

Best campground in Joshua Tree hands down. The other ones tend to be much more packed in. Pit toilets are clean enough. Unfortunately our camp chairs were stolen while we were here so be careful with what you leave at your site when you leave.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ This place is great for all ages. First, its easy to find as the only road there ends at the preserve. Be aware that there is very limited parking so get there early.
