15-20 years ago they had a summer youth theater program, and I loved it. I wish they would do it again, now that I have a child of my own. I think they struggled for years before it changed ownership. Now, it's been renovated and running sold out shows year after year. I would highly recommend seeing a show here while visiting. Edit: There is a Summer Youth Theater program!

A real gem as far as live entertainment goes. Excellent and varied theatrical productions. Also home to the basin's own philharmonic. The concerts are great fun, and feature music from pop to classical. Musicians and conductor seem to be having a great time, and so is the audience!

A local, community based theater, that occasionally brings in outside big-city talent. The productions are nicely done, and the small facility gives a very intimate, up-close experience. Snacks and beverages are limited but reasonable... just don't go there hungry. Plenty of parking, and easy to find, located on the south side of hwy 62 on the west end of Joshua Tree, CA.

Wonderful plays in the desert! Who would have thought of going to a play or music event in the desert? Yes we do have creative and talented people in the desert! Come explore! Before or after the entertainment, enjoy the great food down the road at the Joshua Tree Saloon, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. While in our desert, stay at one of our Air B&B's to escape into the solace.
