👍👍 The aerial tram is an experience in itself which has amazing views and great feel covering thousands of feet within ten minutes. A mode of transportation made for enjoyment but also a great engineering feat. But also with the tram ride comes the visit to the top of the 8500 feet mountain that takes... Amazing place , was surprised how nice the scenery and trails are at the top. The tram itself is so fast and rotates 360, so the ride up and down was fun and scenic vs other trams I’ve been on in past. Also the tram conductor was fun and played music on way down, people sang along so was a cool experience. Highly recommend

The aerial tram is an experience in itself which has amazing views and great feel covering thousands of feet within ten minutes. A mode of transportation made for enjoyment but also a great engineering feat. But also with the tram ride comes the visit to the top of the 8500 feet mountain that takes your breath away with its amazing view of the desert. And once at the top and taking in all the view their facilities are well made too. Two good restaurants (one fancy, one fast food) and clean restrooms and stores. It is a must visit for palm spring visitors. The staff is nice, helpful and friendly.

This is one of those things you just have to do once. I’ve been at two different times of year now once in the spring and once in the summer. I think the spring or the fall are definitely the times to go, even the winter. At 8800 sheet there’s snow on the ground of this beautiful ridge tree 75% of the year. There’s a lovely little restaurant up there with a great bar

Tramway is a breath taking place... Between the vast and amazing view on the way up the mountain to the rich forest and mountain life at the top! Add in some hiking, trail running or especially rock climbing you'll have an epic day!

My second time coming here. It was good weather to come up and I enjoyed the 360 view! Tickets I came upon when I got there were $28 per person. I went by myself and had a fun adventure. If you go down to the trails, I recommend taking it easy going back up because it's pretty steep as in to the main entrance. A good time spent here is 3-5 hours. As the tram was going back down everyone was singing sweet Caroline I believe and it was one of best memories ever!

We took a quick trip to Palm Springs to experience the aerial tram and we glided up to an altitude of about 8500 feet to arrive at Mountain Station. There is quite an impressive facility at Mountain Station. Good lookout and observation areas of the surrounding forest and desert below, a full-service restaurant and bar, the tram embarkation/debarkation area, and more. It's also at altitude and can be quite cold, so check the weather and dress warmly (wear a coat, sweatshirt, etc.) if necessary. There was snow present when we were there! One could easily spend an entire day at Mountain Station is one so chose, too. So, if you want a relaxing and scenic getaway, get on the tram and come up to Mountain Station. The views are great!

Great experience! Make sure to buy your tickets online ahead of time or you'll spend 3 hrs waiting to get up there on the weekends. We should have worn clothes for the snow.

Unique experience with a rotating tram traveling up the mountain. Beautiful views of the valley. Staff was friendly and well organized. Lots of people going hiking and camping too.

A neat a breathtaking experience. The exit line is long at the end of the day so do plan to wait to leave but the ride up and down are worth it.

The tram ride up and down is great. Our driver/pilot Gil was great and had lots of good advice for making the trip up easier. We had the last flight up at 8pm. All good until then. What we didn't really know, and perhaps some investigation would have helped, was that everything closes just after 8. We had enough time to get some food at the cafe but it had been out for a bit before we got there. It was ok. We got to see some of the views and enjoy a break from the heat and went back down. The gift shop etc was done for the evening. The ride down was great and accompanied by sing a long music. Lots of fun with Gil at the helm. Definitely plan on getting there early if you decide to go

Lovely ride with fantastic hiking right off the tram. I'd recommend the desert view trail if you're hiking. If not climb the stairs to Grubs point for panoramic views.

We had such a great time here. I pre-purchase the tickets and parking and reservations at Peak Restaurant all at the same time for myself and my three adult children. Never been and have lived in California for over 39 years. It was amazing. We celebrated my daughter's 22nd birthday. I wanted the best of both worlds so we scheduled 6 pm for the ride up to see the daylight and dinner at 7. We got to walk around for 50 min before dinner..Then at 830 we went down and the view of the lights was great. The gondola turns the inside lights off and plays music. Everyone there had a blast . At dinner we discussed making this a family gathering to do yearly or a few times.

Entertaining ride up and down via the operator in the Aerial Tram. It spins while going up, so be ready for that. Plenty of air and breeze. It's a fast ride compared to many other lifts like it. Once you get to the top it's worth. Amazing views and worth it 100% once you get to the top. Can easily spent the day there

Recently redone to make it a lot more accessible and comfortable. This place is like a little hamlet on the top of the mountain that you would have no way of even knowing it had existed. Limited services overall, but there are a few quick circle hikes around the property that offer unbelievable views down into the valley. Where on clear days you can easily see the Salton sea and beyond. Also, the Peaks restaurant offers some grab and go items along with a large seating area and about a 20 bar seats for food and beverage options. Keep an eye out as trams going back down leave about every half an hour and at peak times you may not get on the first tram down.

Great views, pretty good place to eat after walking around the trails exploring nature. Speaking of the trails, in the odd chance that there’s snow up there, you have to have shoes with snow grips otherwise it’d be really slippery, learned that the hard way.

Fun ride up the mountain on rotating tram. It's very safe but a little scary when you pass a tower and tram "jumps" and sways a bit. Once at the tram station on top, you make your way down a fairly steep but winding concrete path to the trail levels. We only walked easy trails, but the elevation ( 8500 ft) can make you stop to catch your breath. Surprisingly the pines snack bar food was very good ( clam chowder, chili, pizza!) And reasonably priced. Ice way to spend 2 to 3 hours. We reserved and purchased online so no waiting. Viator only has one $30 price, but seniors rates are available on ps tram website for a couple bucks less.

Wonderful ride up 7400 feet on the gondola! The gondola rotates internally 180° so everyone gets a great view. I would highly recommend that you purchase your tram tickets on-line so you can avoid an 1 to 1 1/2 hour wait up top. Also, you need to be prepared for the change in temperature from the bottom to the top. Approximately 35°.

Great experience and beautiful views! Gil, the tram operator, was fun and full of energy, definitely put everyone at ease and got everyone singing on the way down to the bottom of the mountain.

Absolutely stunning! The rotating tram view on the way up is incredible. And the hike at the top of the mountain is the best!

More fun than a barrel of monkeys! Great ride up the mountain (expect 40° cooler at top). Watch the movies. Eat or drink at the top. $28.95 each (-$26.95 if senior). Hiking, great views.

The Tramway is not to be missed! If you don't like spectacular views, fine dining, amazing history and a fun rotating tram ride, I guarantee you will love the 40⁰ drop in temperature! It was 106⁰ F on the valley floor and a refreshing 66⁰ at the peak, where we enjoyed hot chocolate, a gift shop, and full bar in the restaurant. We will absolutely be back. Added bonus, the first coin operated pay phone I've seen in decades.

This was a great and fun experience. The tram runs every 20 minutes and is not hot while you're riding it up and down the mountain. The buffet has delicious food. There's an area to walk around outside on top of the mountain. And the gift shop is nice.

👍👍 This place is great for all ages. First, its easy to find as the only road there ends at the preserve. Be aware that there is very limited parking so get there early. 👍👍 Loved my experience at this lake. It's beautiful and teeming with life.
