Spatially impressive, a moving and powerful memorial to those who fought for Warsaw in 1944. A large piece stands in front of the Supreme Court and depicts men, women and young people from all walks of life who took part in the uprising. The smaller section depicts resistance fighters emerging from the sewers. (I would recommend visiting the Uprising Museum in Wola if you have time to learn more!)

This is one of the most famous monuments in Poland I dream to visit also take pictures with it. And finally one of my Overseas traveling missions accomplished. More historical stories are hidden inside these Monuments I kindly convince you to study in Uprising memory when you come here.

Powerful, make sure you visit the small museum on the corner. Look for the human images in the windows to spot location. Sadly the Chopin Bench music here does not play. Take a moment to sit and think if you would fight for Liberty.

Went to visit this impressive monument to the Warsaw uprising in 1944. The statues are large, in a way symbolising the huge task the brave poles encountered against the German army. It's well worth checking it out, to remember & pay tribute to the polish who decided to fight back.

It’s one of the places in Warsaw where you can see the history, while walking through Warsaw if you have the time to visit I would recommend it. The only thing that I noticed that there are no signs or information written in English anywhere on site. Otherwise very interesting place to go and see.

Museum is a bit dark. Sometimes informational context is lacking. Still a good museum where you can spend easily 2 hours or more on average.

Visited the place on the anniversary of Warsaw Uprising. A magnificent monument celebrating Polish heroes: soldiers and regular people who outnumbered with no weapons still fought for their freedom and country.

Close to the centre, right across Kraniski palace. Great place to see where the locals pay their tributes to all soldiers from the past. Let’s not forget the immaculate sculptures.

I randomly came across this monument while visiting Warsaw last year. You see a lot of WW2 monuments in Central and East Europe, but this one had me captivated by the scenery and the soldiers' facial expressions for minutes and I teared up. Don't look at the photos - you'll come across it when visiting the palace or the beautiful palace gardens next to it, so take your time and pay attention to the details.

A well suited and we'll deserved monument for the fallen. A beautiful tribute in the form of an amazing monument. It truly describes the hardship and the struggle to bring Poland out of tyranny.

Very poignant memorial to the people who rebelled & tried fighting the Nazis for 63 days. In retaliation, most of Warsaw got bombed & the brave rebellion was defeated. As you can tell, we visited at night.

You ll be sorry youu missed it, if you don't drop by. Read about the Uprising first. The whole city is a monument to WW2's greatest uprising and one of the most frightening disasters in war history.
