Very traditional atmosphere and huge variety of food makes you live a great experience. The attentive staff can explain well what you're going to order and there is a small surprise as appetizer from the house. The food is more than nice as the price very fair. Good note also, the toilet clean and spacious

What a surprise! Even with great reviews, one had to wonder about this location as it sits on the edge of a Heritage Village and one would expect it to be more of tourist "trap". In reality, Al Khayma does a great job of blending tourist appeal and traditional Bedouin atmosphere. From our entrance to our exit the service was friendly, professional, and on the spot while not being overbearing. The setting is a beautiful courtyard with a very traditional feel and we enjoyed live music during our lunch visit, which was a very nice touch. The menu is full of wonderful arabic staples and a few surprises as well. Portions are considerably large and quality is absolutely outstanding. Finally, the price was incredibly inexpensive when compared to the setting and quality of meal. Overall, I simply can't find any fault with this restaurant and have to say it was a highlight meal of the trip to Dubai.

It’s a really beautiful oriental-touched restaurant with good authentic, oriental food. The food tasted really good and there were also a few vegetarian/vegan options. The price is really good for Dubai. The Service was also awesome. The host Ashraf received us with a warm welcome at the entrance and brought us to our table. The waiter Mark was also really great. He took our order and brought our food/beverages. Both of them did an extremely good job. All in all, the restaurant and the service, it’s a 10 out of 10. I would really recommend it!

Absolutely fantastic experience - traditional atmosphere filled with locals so I already knew it was about to be fire. Traditional music played during our meal, and the service was amazing (big thanks to our server, Mark)! Do not miss out on the cold appetizer platter and the post-meal tea. One of the best meals we ever had. Everyone was so polite and helpful, we loved the vibe that they had! The restaurant itself gets you directly in the mood to eat and enjoy the food. The decoration is really nice with amazing photos of old Dubai and the Emirates, on the walls are old artifacts and the most comfortable chairs ever! The food is just unbelievable, there are no words for the tastes of the dishes.. If you travel in Dubai you must eat at this restaurant, simple as that!

This place is wonderful. In ‘Old’ Dubai middle of the shopping area. We asked where a GOOD restaurant was and this was the recommend. SOOO Glad. The staff there was so helpful. The food was delicious. Establishment VERY clean and well taken care of. Food good portions and drinks very fresh and delicious. I cant say enough good things about it.

The best place to experience the UAE's climate and enjoy traditional local cuisine. Live music with a cool local musician and singer and great staff. Hassan is one of the best staff there and he invited us to tea and dessert. 100% recommended Just know that the amount of food is too much

The restaurant has a unique old Arabic design which adds to its charm. The service was good and the traditional food served was delicious. However, there were some annoying flies around. Also, it was quite windy inside.

It was so good I went here twice. The offering is a mixture of local dishes and it is simply amazing. The atmosphere is great, the staff is super friendly and during dinner they entertain their guests with drumming and singing at your table as well. It was a full experience and then I haven't even mentioned the food. The portions are really large, we shared a 2 person dish with the three of us and still had some leftovers, great value for your money too.

On the edge of the Al Fahidi heritage neighborhood, the restored and expanded traditional home is a bustling restaurant serving traditional Arabian foods in a warm family environment. It's air-conditioned! There's a large tented ceiling with an enormous tree at the center. Tables seating as few as four are placed for maximum occupancy while the live entertainment weaves their way from the kitchen between them. There's a quieter dining area up some uneven steps. This area is smaller and much cooler with the entertainment being beautiful scenes of Dubai on a giant screen. The traditionally dressed, multilingual, multinational staff provides you with the menu on very modern tablets. The food comes in large portions, is very fresh and absolutely delicious. Vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available. Camel milk based ice cream is a unique treat.

PERFECTION - food, atmosphere and service! It was so delicious, we went there 4 times and if we stayed longer in Dubai it probably would become even more 🤩. It’s a must when you visit the UAE 🇦🇪 Make sure not to skip this place! You can get there easily by metro, combined with a 5 min walk. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

The food and the atmosphere were simply amazing. Having an AC as well in such an open space was great. Minus two stars for The service which was VERY slow even when the place was emptying out. We had to wait for the bill for 20 minutes for no reason. Also we noticed that some Lokma were given for free to some customers and others not at all while we were in front of the cooking process the whole time

Decent local food. Chicken uzi came out pretty dry unfortunately. Lamb had a lot of bones on it. Flavors were really great though. Chicken wings, salad, and smoothies were solid. Some live music and great atmosphere.

I went to the Al khayma heritage restaurant for a cultural cooking breakfast class. Our chef and guide was the wonderful, well knowledgable and extremely kind Chef Lamin. It was a very early class (7am) due to the hot weather but Chef Lamin and the other staff truly made us feel welcome. We cooked 3 types of meals for breakfast, which I truly enjoyed and it took 1.5 hours. Additionally, you have the option to visit old Dubai afterwards. I really recommend this experience and when I come back to Dubai, I hope to try the lunch/ Dinner option.

This is amazing. If I have guests coming to Dubai, I will definitely bring them over here. There are a lot of tourists but it is not a trap. The food is delicious and the price is fair. The atmosphere is really nice and there is a group playing drums, clapping hands and walking around the restaurant to entertain customers. There is a station for henna painting for those who are waiting for food. I wanted to try but a few ladies were in queue so I didn’t make it. Food portion is huge and tasty.

Overall the experience was good, we can feel the warmth hospitality when first entered to the restaurant, escorted to the table, serving food and to settle the bill! Everything was smooth and wonderfully. The food was good and authentic, portion was fair enough, the atmosphere was great! I would like to specially thanks to the lady and a guy (seems manager or supervisor who waring dark grey uniform) as they offered extra miles to explain where to go taxi back to hotel. Especially the guy he brought me to the nearby place and able to get a taxi for me which is totally beyond his job scope! He is so patience to listen my frustration and complain why I couldn't get a taxi and without a single unpleasant face expression on him. This is totally professional handling customer unreasonable request and he did it very well. Please come to this restaurant when you are in Dubai if you wish to experience the delicious food and warmth hospitality!

I can attest that this is much better than the next door competitor. We had the complimentary boiled chickpeas to start and I loved it! Even ate the chilli inside. Shrimp machboos was delicious, moist succulent prawns in a bed of perfectly cooked rice. Hummus and lentil soup along with the oven baked bread was out of this world. Great service, ambiance and most importantly, food! Also happy that I didn't see a caged bird iykyk

Amazing food and excellent hospitality The entire experience was unique and amazing. Our waiter Jon was super friendly and professional! Loved coming here and feeling the authentic touch of Dubai culture. The food was great, the portions are a good size and we ended up taking some left overs. After the food we the women were given complimentary henna tattoos! Overall an amazing experience and thank you Jon for making us feel very welcomed and taken care of!

We got such a great meal there with Hassan proving us the most amazing service for us. We got a private room with air conditioner and comfortable seats. Me and my boyfriend both think the lamb chops kebabs taste the best! Worth 5 star! Strongly recommend! We plan to come back next time for the grilled fish!

Today we visited the restaurant for the second time in a week. Again another warm welcome, Food is amazing, fresh, delicious, we experienced new flavours, a wonderful tasteful journey! Hassan was our waiter for the second time and again he was super friendly, thoughtful, gave us good advice on what to eat and gave us service with a big smile ! Best humus, best lamb chops, best samaso, best ever! The whole staff is friendly, service orientated, the atmosphere in the restaurant is chill and relaxed. We will definitely come back again! A must go to if you are in Dubai and want to taste authentic delicious food in a traditional atmosphere!

Once you can enjoyed traditional arabic food here definitely you will rate this place excellent. It's picturesque exterior uncoloured but interior is very colorful. The ambiance is welcoming and staff is well-trained and polite. Food variety is huge and presentation is simple and sleek.

What a lovely experience! Adrian was so helpful and made us feel very comfortable throughout our dinner. All the staff were friendly. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and generous in portion. Warm and cozy yet elegant atmosphere. The musical performance also was a nice surprise!

We went here for our anniversary dinner, and I must say the service was top notch! We initially found this place on the Michelin guide app, which suggested that it must be excellent and sure enough trying it in person it was! Sapun was our waiter, and he made our evening absolutely perfect. Ask for him by name if you can he was great! The mint lemonade was unreal - we ordered two glasses each! We started our meal with hummus, which was excellent. And for a main we enjoyed the mix grilled platter for two which was more than enough food, and truly excellent. The indoor outdoor feel of this place was really cool, and we really appreciated the air conditioning.

Was recommended by our driver Hamid, came in and was greeted warmly. Great food and service. We really liked the lentil soup, chicken machboos, and camel milk ice cream (chocolate). A bit pricey but worth for the service and atmosphere. There’s live music and yet its very quiet and calming.

Once I decided to come to Dubai for traveling, I planed to come visit this beautiful and traditional restaurant, I've searched many blogger's posting and have been seen this place on the TV show. Indeed, it didn't disappointed me at all😊 First of all, the traditional building plus the cozy decoration relived our fatigue. The server treat everyone well, they are really thoughtful, especially Sapun and Fredy are so lovely 👍 The food is enough-quality and real benefit. They're also the traditional performance and traditional tattoos that you can enjoy while eating the meal😎 Highly recommended!

It was our first time there! The food was exceptional. We ordered biryani, madfoos, mixed grill. The portions were pretty good and the taste was great. The staff was really helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very welcoming. We highly recommend this place!

We love it here. The foods are being served properly and together if you call all in once. The portion is quiet decent and it tastes very good. The waiters also gave us good suggestion for our food so we are also very happy. The atmosphere is so nice and sometime in break hour, they have one man performing traditional music with drum. Quite cool, isn’t it? We ordered more foods and drinks for 2 than in the pictures below but too enjoyed so didnt take more picture. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and come back once I visited Dubai again
