What an amazing experience! I visited this place today for the first time and I am glad I did. I just love Tunisian traditional houses, and this one is a must-see/visit. I met and spoke with the owner, who is a very friendly and welcoming person, about the history behind this amazingly beautiful place. The staff was friendly and very thoughtful :) The place and the surroundings are very safe and secure. Very recommended if you want to stay in the heart of the Medina and get to know Tunisian tradition and hospitality.

The location is great, in the medina, and it is easy to go around for sightseeing. Staff is friendly and helpful, special shout out to Josef for all his valuable help and all the information shared. We are really grateful for meeting him as he even came to help us during his free time to do some personal shopping. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. We were given a free upgrade as first-time visitors from Cyprus. Breakfast was delicious, too.

If you are looking for a great great traditional place in the Medina, this is it - Dali and his team were great, the airport pickup by Arby was most helpful - our room was magic (Junior Suite) the food was lovely and the rooftop as magical as others have said - can't imagine a better place

It’s really a gorgeous place. The rooms vary in size from what I’ve seen but they’re all unique, clean, well furnished and comfortable. The one facing inside is definitely very quiet too except of course the soft chit chat from early risers who take their breakfast in the court. The staff is super friendly, helpful and competent. Plus it’s a great spot to roam in the Medina, and the rest of the city is easily reached when you walk a few minutes to grab a cab. Not for those who climb steep chairs with difficulty or who expect car pickup at the door. Warmly recommend if you want something authentic. Enjoy

Beautiful place in the heart of Tunis with amazingly helpful staff. Wonderful breakfasts cooked fresh for you in the morning. Rooms are big and spacious with access to a roof terrace as well. Only thing which could be improved is the strength of the wifi. It was really poor in my room so I was having to hotspot off of my Tunisian phone. Great place, would highly recommend.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the location is fantastic. Hopefully I can make it back for another stay.

This gorgeous b&b is on a quiet corner of the medina. The rooms are spacious and the temperature control was sanity-saving when it was 40C. The staff though— outstanding. They were the kindest, most-helpful, and sweet folks. At breakfast they always found creative and tasty ways to accommodate my egg allergy.

I loved this place when I stayed there a few years ago. Really felt comfortable and safe and it was within walking distance to a lot of places if you know your way around. The rooms were just a bit too plain for me but they provide a small fridge, nice bathroom with a tub, sitting area with table and a comfy bed. There was a tv but it did not look like it worked well.

Wonderful in every way. I stayed here for two months, working remotely and traveling some in Tunisia. It has magnificent spaces to write and read, superb breakfasts, and the kindest staff people to help navigate the Medina and everything else.

Quite nice. Be ready to some specific things. E.g. we came late from a dinner and there was nobody to open the outside door. One of the guests let us in after we were ringing for a while. Rooms are nice, breakfast is good. Bathroom is simple.

The accommodation was just perfect. Staff was nice, welcoming and ready to meet everyone’s need. The structure is typical, with nice colours and in a good position in the medina. Great breakfast too!

I had the opportunity to stay with bunch of my friends. Great place to stay and relax after a long day of sight-seeing. Lovely service and wonderful location! Rooms are really clean and beds are comfortable. Plus working AC is a must in the heat! Recommend it to anyone visiting in the area!

A very lovely people and so warm feeling and smiles. Design is fabulous and delicious breakfast. Location is steps away from many attractions. Again thanks for all the warm stay

Dar Ben Gacem is the best curated and cared for independent guest house in the Tunis Medina. It is a living museum with centuries of history and modern en suite amenities in each room. Bespoke and guided opportunities like cooking classes were even possible. This was a perfect space for a work-cation and spiritual realignment with my family staying in multiple rooms. I would return in a heartbeat and have every intention of doing so. The staff are beyond courteous and thoughtful!

Amazing hotel in the heart of the Medina. It’s absolutely beautiful and well located. The staff is so polite and caring, specially the guy at the front desk who speaks perfect English (sorry I forgot your name). Breakfast is delicious and abundant. I will definitely recommend as the best acomodación in Tunis.

A truly gorgeous place full of history, definitely worth staying there! Stunning rooms, delicious and hearty breakfast and a great location in the beautiful Media of Tunis, as well as very easy to find. Make sure to have some tea on the rooftop at sunset, totally worth it! All the staff was very kind and helpful. A special thanks to Gaith for telling us the history of the place and for his great food recommendations and help!

This hotel offers quiet, comfortable accommodation in an excellent location for exploring Tunis's sights. The room was small but functional, the bed was comfortable, but I did not expect the finishing to be kind of cheap. The team keep on top of cleanliness and are friendly and helpful. Everyone I came into contact with was incredibly hard-working.
