Really nice spacious square with a few cafes near by and plenty of benches to take a seat and enjoy the day or night.

Very big square at the end of the town or is it the beginning? Almost totally empty except for a few tourists taking photos and the pigeons. Nice place very clean, old church opposite the sea front is open but not sure about photos inside.

Solomos square is the biggest and most popular square in the island of Zakinthos. It’s the place to see and be seen, never crowded due to its size but always busy and lively. Frequented by families, teenagers, old-timers and adults of any age, it’s a lovely stroll early on summer evenings, while you’re on your way to a nearby restaurant. Lots of historical buildings around the square for your to see and visit too. Avoid visiting in the day as there’s no shadow at all - this square is much more charming at night.

Nice place to visit in Zante town, a starting point of a walking zone full of shops, restaurants and tourists. Enjoy dinner with different international but primary Greek cuisine ( prices as same as everywhere...your choice ).

Lively square, great in the evenings. For families with kids, make sure to check out the kids car rental - €5 for 20 mins of amazing fun. We went there every evening for a fun end to the evening. The kids car rental is on the street to the left of the museum - amazing people.

Beautiful square with 2 main statues liberty statue and Dionysios Solomos which is Greece National Poet He is best known for writing the Hymn to Liberty (Greek: Ὕμνος εἰς τὴν Ἐλευθερίαν, Ýmnos eis tīn Eleutherían), which was set to music by Nikolaos Mantzaros and became the Greek and Cypriot national anthem in 1865 and 1966 respectively. If you’re staying out of Zakynthos there is a train that will stop next to the square

You will find it at the junction of 25th of March Street and Georgiou Griva Digeni Street, behind the municipal mansion and municipal gardens. The small, triangular square was named after our national poet Dionysios Solomos, whose bust adorns its open space today. Made of Pentelic marble, this bust is made by well-known Greek sculptor Vassos Falireas. At its base are the lyrics of our national anthem ‘Hail Oh Hail Freedom’, while there is an ancient Greek lyre engraved.

Lovely place I visited on a summers evening, it was alive with children playing people eating and drinking, there was even a mini train. The town itself has been restored beautifully. The houses, shops and buildings were rebuilt in the traditional Venetian Style after the destructive earthquake of 1953, that ruined the majority of the buildings in Zante Town and forced the inhabitants to rebuilt them, giving significant emphasis on the protection against earthquakes.

The biggest square in town, more than one statue, maybe in need of more shades and benches. Otherwise it's in the town spirit and spacious.

A big and relaxing place where you can take your coffee or beverage or drink and sit and talk and chill with your family or friends or relationship and see the port where it is in front of you or the old church of Agios Nikolaos, the traffic or the people who are walking or talking and have a good time with the old and nice preservable buildings around you.

I choose this place for... snorkeling. On the seafront there are several places where the locals come and bathe in the sea and sit on the rocks (it is not a beach!) I discovered that it is a good place for snorkeling, the water being warm, blue and clear, and the bottom of the water is not rocky but has sand, so you can easily see the colorful fishes.

Beautiful place, i recommend taking the train to a nearby destination. Cheap, friendly personal and a fun way to view locations.

Lovely place but just not for us, same shops as the resorts so no real reason to go into town, but hassle from street sellers
