After driving from Kampala to Kitgum, back to Gulu and then to Arua with further plan to go back and and spend the night in Gulu, by 2pm, I was gagging for a coffee. The name and the environment of Cafe Cosmo was more appealing and it was difficult to not chose this place. It has got great service with very attentive staff, lovely and quite a relaxing atmosphere. However, it is more of a Indian restaurant than a Cafe. I ordered their Late from a very promising menu, but must say as you will see fromnthe photo that the quality wasn't the best but for Arua standard and for a desperate person like I was. It definitely saved the day.

Its a very Muzungu oriented restaurant. It's a long the Pakwach main road so access to transport is easy. The ambiance is still not good especially the sandy ground. The foods are no very great and the teas don't come hot but for Arua it gets a 3/5 star. The waitress are swift with orders. 2 months a go I had given this place a 3 star but returning to Arua passed by and ordered a take away pilow chicKen but it was terrible bad taste more of using tea to brown the rice. Worst still is I found a wire cut in the food. I have tried to attach the picture, That just made it worse. I discarded the food. I advice that you check the food before while eatting especially when eating in little light here. The toilets are not clean. Just not a good place anymore.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Pizza is good and they have a offer on Saturday get one small for free. Others tried the chicken and cheese Nan and also liked it. Prices are ok.

Good food, slow service. Well located in Arua, affordable pricing. Beware of slow service and lots of mosquitos. The indian food was quite good. Stay away from the whole fried fish.

Great place for indian food in arua, uganda

My second home as a Peace Corps Volunteer here for 3.5 years and happy to return every time i’ve been back. The most reliable power (which is never guaranteed but usually there) and they’ll let you charge your things if you’re in a pinch. Great place to rest, excellent service, and really great options for indian food, vegetarian, or sandwiches, chips, etc. If you just want a break from eating local food for a meal or want to treat your friends to some non-local food, this is a great place to bring them. Heads up, cash only (like most places here!)
