During my recent visit to Zanzibar, I had the pleasure of staying at Golden Palm Boutique hotel that left a lasting impression on me. This hotel was not only spacious but also conveniently located at the beach front and just a stone's throw away from the airport. The rooms at the hotel were clean, comfortable and very spacious, with large windows that let in a lot of natural light. I particularly enjoyed waking up in the morning to the breathtaking views of the ocean just outside my window. The hotel also had a number of amenities to keep guests entertained, including an outdoor pool, a kitchen and a nearby beach I also enjoyed spending time at the beach and the sea ,which was just a few steps away from the hotel. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were always ready to offer suggestions on things to do in the area and help with any requests I had. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Zanzibar. The spacious rooms, beachfront location, and proximity to the airport make it an ideal choice for travelers. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to this beautiful island.

We only spent one night at the hotel, but that was very nice. The room was quiet and big, the pool was not too cold and the food at the restaurant was amazing. I would like to especially point out the friendliness and helpfulness of the whole staff, specifically Sophia, who helped us a lot and was always more than kind! Will come back

We stayed for 4 Nights at this Hotel. The rooms are spacious and Clean .The Restaurant staff is amazing although they take long to prepare food. The Reception staff is exceptional. I enjoyed Celine who would take lovely pictures of us and ensure we were comfortable. Its closely located to the airport about 7 minutes drive away making it a perfect location. The views of the sea front are amazing too

We booked this to sleep close at the airport since we had an early flight next morning. Boy what a surprise, best food we had in 10 days on this island. Highly recommended for comfortable matresses (also best in 10 days cruising) and great great food, go for the tempura prawns and you will know what I mean :-)

Very good service, nice dinner choices in the restaurant, quiet location next to the sea, extremely kind and helpful staff. A bit of a walk to get to shops /restaurants, and it's far from the city.

Terrible experience - avoid. I booked 2 nights at the golden palm, and one night at Golden tulip (which are the same owners as far as I'm aware). They double booked our room on the first night, so turning up after 30+ hours of traveling we found there was no room for us, despite them finding our booking on the system. We then waited in the lobby for several hours in the middle of the night when we only wanted to be in bed, before finally being put up in a significantly worse and cheaper hotel nearby. This alternative hotel had no pool, extremely uncomfortable beds and no A/C - arriving at 4am after all the issues we got about 2 hours of bad sleep. We then had to pay for our own taxi back to golden palm. They have refused to refund the taxi or offer any compensation for the issue. So they've kept my money for the room the double booked, they forced me to pay extra to arrange my own taxi between hotels and are doing nothing to fix the situation. Avoid these people

Myself and my partner have recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Much to our appreciation the property was in a quiet location and the rooms and communal areas had been maintained well. However, with every positive there is a negative. On checkout we had been accused of 'destroying' the curtain in our hotel room. We are not sure if this was a tactic to look for unnecessary additional room charges, however I would recommend to anybody staying in this property to check the room with management prior to agreeing to accept the room otherwise you may also be put into this uncomfortable situation of being accused of something you did not do. The management insisted the curtains had been "checked" prior to our arrival however this could not have been the case.

Excellent choice for a two night stay before catching my early morning flight. Check-in was smooth and I was upgraded to Executive room (ground floor). The room was nicely decorated and clean but requires refurbishment/maintenance - especially the bathroom. Other than that, the view from inside is absolutely stunning. The pool was decent and the garden and restaurant areas very well kept. (Do try the curries!) All staff were courteous and helpful - special kudos to Robert for his positive attitude and exceptional attentiveness!

The Hotel is near the airport in an upscale area of Zanzibar. The road to the hotel is rough and you have to drive through the mangrove trees. The hotel looks better in the photos than in real life and there is no viable beach front. The hotel is tucked in a corner at the end of the rough road and has no viable parking for guests. There is a small 2 car parking. Parking there is a challenge. The security at the hotel is good and the front office is pretty friendly as well as the managers. Their Chef though is a disaster and the food at this hotel is of very low quality. The chef could not hack making sauteed mushrooms and over salted them to boot. The Breakfast is Mundane and even the omelettes are literally dead. It is a good hotel for the value but we were sold on photos that looked way better than the real deal. I am not sure if it is classified but looks more like a mom and pop operation boutique hotel. There was really not much of a view to write home about. The bed was comfortable and the showers had fresh water which made up for the lucklusture food. If you stay here just be content and eat out. ๐Ÿ˜

This is a neat little hotel. Great for budget travelers. The rooms are basic but quite clean. They have hot showers and air conditioning (a must when you are in Zanzibar). The views of the ocean are breathtaking and the sunrise is something to look out for. They have a small dining place and the meals are served fresh. Limited menu though. Itโ€™s only 8mins away from the airport and also there are many other great hotels which one can visit for meals and other activities.

I went for lunch and i don't recommend it for people who only want to eat and not sleep in there. I ordered chicken with mashed potatoes and they brought fries with chicken and went on to gaslight me that I couldn't read the menu. The food wasn't tasty for someone who cooks:(.

The hotel was amazing ! Friendly and helpful staff , their breakfast menu was good and their chocolate croissants were to die for !!! Only downside was that it was pretty far from town
