Even if you are not staying at the hotel, at least have dinner here. A great place to stay! Rooms, service and quality are simply amazing. The food quality is great. I highly recommend the spice sea food curry. An explosion of flavors. Rooms are clean and comfy. Highly recommend for a few days in stone town!

My visit to Sharazad was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to the outstanding service provided by the waitstaff, Dorini and James. Their attentive and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to our evening. The culinary offerings were exceptional. The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The ceviche, a delightful mix of fresh ingredients, was a refreshing burst of taste. But the star of the night was the coconut-coated prawns – an exquisite dish that tantalized our taste buds with its perfect blend of sweetness and savory. To top off an already fantastic meal, go for the tasty espresso martini!

I just came for breakfast and it was lovely. It is a little expensive (45.000 shilling as of January 2024) but well worth the money. Includes fresh fruit, juice, coffee, cereal, bread and jam *AND* a wide selection of other changing breakfast options! Highly recommend.

Just came back after spending 3 nights in this hotel combining excellence of luxury hotels and charm of small hotel, at the best spot one can wish in order to witness local culture and the people. Close to pretty much everything needed for the traveller interested sharing real local life with real local . Service and interaction with staff was A+, room was tidy and clean, sufficiently spacious and comfortable for our needs. Had breakfast included in our package, no frills but OK. Had an early flight coming back so we were offered breakfast to go without even asking for it. Great location in Stone Town, permits to be right where the people are without safety concerns. Presents easy and immediate access to local people and local culture, which is a great asset We highly recommend this hotel for its authenticity, its staff competence and the global pleasure of being integrated in Zanzibar everyday life.

Such a brilliant spot if you are in Stonetown. You will be fully immersed in Stonetown and all of its culture if you stay here. The staff were brilliant as well, great for recommendations and booking reliable taxis. The courtyard was gorgeous, I found myself thinking that even if I wasn’t staying here, it is the sort of place that I would seek out to go to. Breakfast was enormous, maybe even a little bit too much even, but it was much appreciated. Room wise, they were spacious with good air-conditioning and clean. You will hear the call to prayer, but with earplugs you won’t hear anything. Stonetown can be quite overwhelming as a first destination or starting place in Zanzibar, so I would recommend this hotel as a good oasis or sanctuary from that.

A beautiful place in the center of Stone Town. Unfortunately we discovered this place late so we only had a "goodbye lunch" on our departure day. The food was outstanding with nice vegetarian and vegan options. Everyone was super friendly. I would totally recommend visiting this place even if you are not staying in the hotel.

Lovely new Swahili shabby chic hotel on the main shopping pedestrian walkway in Stone Town! Beautiful balcony overlooking a cozy courtyard where excellent food & drink are served. Amazing staff! They even walked me to the market to locate some books to learn Swahili!

Stopped for a quick bite and was amazed by the service and the mocktails. Helen, our server was absolutely great. The place place is quiet with lots of natural light, plants and comfy chairs. Will definitely come back!
