This
was
a
trip
I'd
been
saving
for,
for
three
years.
This
was
a
30th
Birthday
trip
to
myself
&
the
way
things
panned
out,
it
quickly
became
a
solo
trip
and
my
first
one
at
that.
So
leaving
the
US
to
travel
to
a
different
country
could
easy
be
one
of
the
scariest
things
ever
to
someone
but
for
me,
it
was
one
of
the
best
and
most
peaceful
trips
I've
ever
been
on.
Tembo
Hotel
was
the
second
hotel
I
stayed
out
during
my
duration
in
Zanzibar
and
honestly
I
wish
it
were
my
only
stay.
My
first
hotel
was
very
nice
but
it
was
a
lot
further
away
on
more
of
a
beach
resort
hotel
type
of
place.
Tembo
was
a
beach,
city
&
every
good
thing
in
between
type
of
hotel.
As
soon
as
I
arrived
staff
at
the
receptionist
counter
welcomed
me
and
even
offered
complimentary
Hibiscus
juice
(that
I
love).
I
was
then
told
my
room
was
upgraded
free
of
charge
to
a
bungalow
suite
on
the
beach
named,
"Bahari."
I
was
so
thankful
and
upon
walking
into
my
room
I
was
blown
away
at
the
beauty,
space,
cleanliness,
and
the
SHOWER!!
That
shower
was
something
I'd
never
seen
before
in
my
life
and
is
hard
for
me
to
describe
the
arcihitecture
of
it
but
WOW.
The
staff
were
some
of
the
nicest
people
I'd
ever
meet
from
the
older
man
named,
"Salim"
(I
hope
I
spelled
it
correctly)
he
helped
me
bring
my
bags
to
the
room
and
even
one
night
accompanied
me
to
the
a
few
places
down
the
street
since
I
was
by
myself
at
night
as
a
foreigner
female.
Mohammoud
always
greeted
my
from
morning
to
evening
with
a
warm
beautiful
smile
and
even
was
my
server
a
few
times,
whose
customer
serve
was
top
tier
excellent.
Mudrik
was
so
helpful
when
it
came
to
helping
change
the
batteries
in
the
safe
in
my
bedroom.
Adul
was
so
kind,
friendly
every
time
I
saw
him.
Raphael
was
literally
a
dream
he
and
the
older
Salim.
Raphael
made
me
a
nice
refreshment
drink
and
we
had
great
conversations
throughout
my
time
there.
The
younger
Salim
was
so
nice
and
sweet
as
well
and
last
but
not
least
Makame
was
so
helpful
on
my
last
day
there.
