Nice place. Very clean environment. Friendly people around. Currently is no longer a public place as alot of businesses (restaurants and bars) are operating. Tips: Visit evening, alot of cheap swahili food here. You will enjoy.

A nice large park. The right part of the park has the food stands. My favorite was the Zanzibar bowl and the Zanzibar pizza. After the food stands, you can find the famous jumping cliff. The jumping show usually starts an hour or two before sunset. The guys there also offer you a show where they sing for you. You get to pay them whatever you can. The left side of the park has some coffeeshops and a playground (for a fee). The sunset view from here is sublime!

This is a must visit place for those coming to Zanzibar, lovely food and great vibe. Its best to visit the place at night. Be sure to try local food and specifically Zanziban Pizza and the Urojo.

The garden in the old stone town with history backing to early 1930's. Its a medieval designed public park overseeing the indian ocean with a floating reastaurant giving a clear view of cargo and passenger marinas bussy on the port of Zanzibar. The park has well maintained lawns, huge natural trees and concrete round seats with arabic decors. During the day the place is bussy with tourists taking photos and tour guide personels telling old tales about the ruins and the garden itself. During night yiu will find countless food venders with variety of swahili food, sea food etc. You real won't regret visiting this place

Don't leave Stonetown without trying out the street foods at Forodhani Garden. It is an open dining under tents/canopies with some established restaurants and most in open air. You either choose from the presented menus or select from the tables meats, seafood, and foods displayed on the tables.

DON'T GO THERE ! They tried to steal your money, hiding the price of the menu and bringing back a plate without price. As soon as it ordered, it s too late. So the best advice is to not go there for eat at 06pm or at least don't go on the evening with the idea to eat here without watching the menu. There is a lot of restaurant near to that place wich have decent price.

Good place to relax after your stone town tour but the place wasn't soo clean. All seafood n meat are overpriced and unfortunately we were served rotten chicken. Such a terrible experience. I believe it was intentional because we requested for take away. Be careful with the vendors.

I wanted to experience something different so a local told me to visit here. It's like a park, they sell more or freshly squeezed juices and Bqq though a seller tried to rip me but as a Naija babe I refused.

Great experience if you like laid back eating, sampling Zanzibar foods seated on concrete slabs. Food vendors operate at nightfall at seaside. There's a formal restaurant on site

The Gardens are especially busy after sunset, when tourists and local alike gather in a popular food street market in the main square, to have dinner enjoying Swahili and Zanzibari cuisine delicacies such as grilled seafood, samoosas, cassava and sweet potatoes

Enjoyed the food and then a special treat of Taarab music with Zanzibaris. Not so sure if this a regular feature on Saturdays but made for a beautiful evening for the whole family.

A very nice park to get street food. It is a free public park. Next to it is where you find the welcome to Zanzibar guys. There are also some restaurants nearby and the floating one as well.

Good collection of foods and amusements. However, I'm expecting more cleanliness. The same hot oil on a pan is used for frying various foods (veg and non-veg). The local people's food habits and preparation styles are probably like that. I saw lots of people enjoying themselves. Jumping on the ocean during the evening is really a very dangerous play and probably the trademark of this play. People are highly jovial, friendly, and welcoming. They never mind if you don't take any food from them after enjoying the preparation or spending time in front of their stall. I am here with my family and spending two evenings in this placeβ€”a perfect place for spending the evening and rejuvenating yourself. We have not taken any food from this park as we want to keep us away from non-veg items. However, I wondered why a few people unnecessarily approached us and started discussing. We are unable to understand their intentions. It might be their jovial nature.

Nice park with some things to do and places to eat. The area is fairly safe for those who travel solo as well. Good food to eat but not enough variety for people who are in the mood for something different. A lot of the vendors serve the same dishes. Other than that, the vibes are good and the people are friendly.

It's very popular area nowadays & night market is also a reason to make it popular because is always operated, Forodhani park is for all people, you'll see different people at evening especially on Weekends

Full of people selling street food, photographers, hawkers, people gathered around areas where locals are jumping in to the sea, lots of stuff going on, was quite nice. 100 times better organised, well lit, needs more bins, less vehicles running through, very nice ambience.

They try to pressure you to buy things and Add things to your order without telling you the price. Say no to everything the stall people say and take your time look around to avoid the scammy vendors. Prices at stalls can vary from 7000 to 500 depending on the stall you go to
