People staying there are great and making it a great atmosphere. Staff is also very nice. Problem is management and how the business is being run. I was in room #8. Huge window and above the bar. Always extremely hot and noicy. Which made it for a bad experience. The front door is always locked and you have to ring the door bell. Staff is nit always there so you just wait untill they get there which can take a while. Dished are always clean but never put up so it looks a mess. Outside table is always dirty with trash and smoke buds. Breakfast is usually 30 min to a hour late which is horrible if you schedule a day tour. Events are announced but often are cancelled without notice. Yep, honestly, i never stayed in a hostel so highly rated with so many mistakes.

Location is very good. Also the staff was nice. There is a beautiful garden that is good to chill. The place is dirty. Not enough bathroom for the quantity of beds. For me, it seems that no one care about the hostel, maybe too many people with few resposabilities. Also the staff made a lot of noise on the bedroom (the ones who are living there), like they were at their own houses. There is no "travel people mood", it seems a place with no owner. I would never come back.

I just love the place, they have an incredible location near Chapultepec so everything is close and you have lots of diversity. The is staff is amazing as well, they also organize guided tours so you can get to know the city better

Be careful booking the private room with private bathroom. I was in room #8 and there was a lot of mold which made me feel sick. The bathroom fan makes noise but doesn’t do anything to help the humidity. There is no HVAC at all in the hostel. Every time I walked into that room it felt humid. It’s also a really noisy room, i could hear every conversation happening in the reception and staff being loud preparing breakfast. Even random noises at night that sounded like people moving furniture against my walls and ceiling. People in other rooms didn’t have any of these experiences so maybe it’s just this room. On a positive note, I loved the staff and the events with the other hostel. I really enjoyed the hostel atmosphere and the garden, it was just the room that made me unhappy. The location is amazing too, I preferred Chapultepec over the city center.

Bad: Extremely loud, staff didn't know how to deal with noise complaints, bar staff sang loudly until late, music started early in the morning, staff promised us a quiet room then changed the booking to one of the loudest rooms as was above the bar. Wifi passwords around the hostel are incorrect. Check in didn't cover when breakfast was. Good: friendly people, nice garden

There was mold all over the wall in the bathroom and in the room. The bathrooms on the second floor were very disgusting and should be cleaned more often. The showers on the second floor were horrible. One was so hot it would burn your skin and the cold water knob was broken.. the other would cycle between being too hot and then freezing. Both had very weak water pressure. The last night we were there the water stopped working completely. The staff was not very helpful. When asked about busses and how to get to popular tourist locations (Lake Chapala), they couldn't help out. Breakfast was okay and beds were comfy though. The location was also great. Close to lots of great restaurants.

It was an authentic nightmare. I do not know what the hell was wrong with one of the guys of the staff. I do not know the reason of his discrimination or whatever. They did not respect reservation, they change my room like 5 times, cockroachs in the room, etc., etc. This is the worst place I have ever stayed in.

The rooms are good but the doors cant be locked and they never seem to fix them. No hot water in the showers and the location is far from the center. The service is good and it is like a party hostel with activities for fun.

I don't usually write reviews when they are negative, but this should be an exception since I was asked by the owner himself to leave the hostel just as I checked in last week. I'm not sure what had happened in the past with the owner as I couldn't recollect that I did anything wrong or insulting or destroyed anything during my last visit 1 month ago. Some clear explanations would have been nice, especially after having recommended this hostel for the fact that I often met amazing fellow travelers there for the past year

Nice hostel to stay for a few days in Guadalajara! The area is really safe and the night life is def happening around, so it's quite chill to do stuff around not mattering the time. Also they have a bar open to the public with tables outside and a backyard to chill, such cool areas!!! The bedroom is also comfortable and the bathrooms were good

Cool staff, nice garden, great for meeting people. However just a little to expensive for what it is and the facilities really need some work. Bathroom missing curtain, no airco, garden could use some extra seating corner

It's pretty good. One time some guy told me he was a cop and was going to get me arrested. So watch out for things like that,

I can easily say that this hostel is one of the top ones I have ever been to. The place is lovely, everyone working there is friendly, you can meet people super-easily and you get a free breakfast too. :) The seating outside for both the breakfast and the chill-out area is a nice bonus to it all.

This is a fairly basic hostel but it has the advantage of being an awesome part of town with great values on rooms. and also a spacious garden area with hammocks. It is often difficult to book a room here last minute, especially on weekends, so book in advance. The hostel has a patio bar in front of it which is open Wednesday through Saturday. On Thursday they organize a pub crawl which starts at this hostel.

My experience has always been good, but the last time I stayed staff didn’t do that much to preven loud music and noise coming from patio after midnight.

Excellent staff and accomodations. The location is perfect. The private rooms were comfortable and clean, common areas were good too. Overall great stay! Special thanks to Chenco, he was so awesome, provided perfect recommendations for food and activities.

This place was great! I stayed at the one downtown and Chapultepec. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hostels of the years and this one is at the top of the list. Friendly staff, everyone was very welcoming. Superb amenities, I loved the plants at the downtown location especially! See you guys next time! ☮️
