I'll start with the good thing: the beds are good. They are big and comfortable. The staff was very bad, I had a bad experience. For example when I came back late 12:30 i had no key and the staff wouldn't open the door for me without me paying. They wouldn't accept me to pay the next day, and they hold my passport and didn't agree to give it back. I think it's illegal. The staff was not nice either and I'm not the only one who felt that way. Not recommending

good location but staff not friendly, breakfast very poor. I do not recommend to stay here. The staff does not have a smile on there face and when you ask them something they are not eager to help. especially the girl who does not speak one word of english. I also recommend them to buy new kitchen equipment beceause they are very old and dirty. Also they should install a light on the roof.

I was only planning on staying for one night here and ended up staying here for 14 days in April 2022. I checked out of the Hilton due to the lack of sleep from how loud it was nearby all night and a staff member suggested this place. Pay in person for heavy discount he said and he was correct ;) I feel I have a true a recent relevant experience of this place. Some reviews say the staff are unfriendly and this NOT TRUE! (Maybe old staff?) The man working reception gave me an introduction to the place upon checking in and it was better than The Hilton’s. He took his time explaining the hostels kitchen, private rooftop terrace, fresh filtered water station(HUGE money saver), the showers looked clean, as were the sheets. They have EXCELLENT maps inside with pictures : descriptions. I’ve been across the world. And I think I’m done with expensive over-rated hotels. He offered several room options to me. This place is 3 floors and BIG. I decided to get a private room and came home to a fresh made bed everyday. One day I left and ran back forgetting something and the lady was giving her all scrubbing the walls, mopping the floor and obviously giving good care to my belongings. They offer laundry service and somehow got rid of a stains that I’d had on certain dress shirts and shorts for months.. how was that even possible… Not sure if I’m forgetting much but I nearly never review but this place in its current state deserves 5 stars, if you want a quiet super central area to many bars and wonderful restaurants you can really get deep into the Guadalajara culture from here. Ooooh they offer TONS OF TOURS that pick you up directly from outside the door

Was OK. Me and only one other guest in 8 room dormitory. Clean kitchen. Cold and hot filtered water. Good view from the roof. There was no light. So at night ...

Great spot to just pass view and rest or meet new people from around the world. Professionals, students, and traveling vacationers. It's big. Plenty of options. Dorms, rooms, and single rooms. Staff is great. Right in the middle everything. In all directions.. been there multiple times.. will return eventually. Recommend if you want to travel in a big group.

Zero stars. This place is quick to discriminate for no reason be ware! They asked for my passport and I provided my driver's license. I asked why the license wasn't enough as I also have been flying around Mexico with a drivers license and in other hotels & hostels with it. They said it was policy and were quick to say if you don't like it you can go somewhere else. I asked to see the policy. They pointed at a long list on the wall finally and would not tell me which number it was so I had to use my phone to translate in English. They told me "even if you see it you won't show us". An assumption. I work in data in IT so I am very cautious with what I give in unsecured places. They said I was disrespectful and they were worried about the other guests safety because I wanted a clear explanation for the policy of what information they would take from the passport before giving it other than "because it's a policy". They said I could be a criminal. I have no criminal record, am a national IT manager for Salesforce and make 6 figures. I had an extremely long travel and was completely exhausted and had a work call to take with a VP. Missed my call and was treated like a suspicious black person. Guadalajara may not be for me.

We visited two other hostels in Guadalajara before thankfully finding this place. The dorms beds are HUGE. It’s sparkling clean throughout the building and especially in the kitchen. They’ve got free filtered water and a cold water dispenser. The roof is the main attraction of course. It’s a sun trap trap from sunrise to sunset. Someone has taken a lot of time on the plants up there, and everything is made from recycled materials. It’s a quieter hostel, so wouldn’t recommend for a solo traveller trying to make friends. It’s perfect to get some R&R, and it’s good value for money. It’s exactly what we were looking for.

Better beds than most and friendly staff. Everything is cleaned everyday and the place feels comfortable. The layout is a bit quirky but there is space on the roof to hangout with other travelers.

It was generally good, the breakfast was simple (coffee, cereal, milk, yogurt, tea, juice, fruit) but was a plus anyways, there's a kitchen if you want to cook anything else. The place is nice and cozy and fairly close to downtown, about five blocks away from Av. Juarez. They have wi-fi, an available computer if you need it, and a TV in the dinning room, also a nice rooftop with a grill. They are a bit disorganized with the rooms and may move you around. I had to stay in a freshly painted room for one night (the paint smell was very strong) and then they moved me to a different room. The receptionists attitude could be better.

Brilliant staff that speaks very good English and explains about tourism in Guadalajara passionately and genuinely. Beds are exceptionally large for a hostel. Location is walkable distance to city center and the bus station to Tequila (which most people visit when they visit Guadalajara). Not to mention the price is very reasonable as well.

Easy peasy. It's Mexico. it's a hostel tambien. It was not luxurious by any stretch but it was spacious and comfortable. There was tons of room to out and chill. The owner is there often and he's an amazing guy. I shared a room with some friends and we were close to the lively goings on that the city had to offer at night. Lots of people were out walking about. I felt safe here and though it's not 5 stars, I can't give 4.5 so it's a five by default. Its Not the Best place I've stayed in Guadalajara (organization wise, cleanliness or comfortability) but it's a great place for backpackers traveling through

not the posh style you might expect from a resort or 4 Star hotel, this is a Hostel with good accommodation. Charming and eclectic, there is room to spread out and commingle with other guests. The owner lives on the property and is very helpful with whatever questions about the city and area you may have. the roof top is fun and friendly.
