A beautiful piece of architecture and art in GDL, a true jewel. This is a neoclassical theater located in the plaza center, stunning! This is most definitely a must visit while visiting or living in GDL! A 19th century architectural masterpiece, opened in 1866. 👍👍

Highly recommend coming here . The architecture is impressive inside and out. Centrally located in the historic center with parking nearby. It’s also close to many pedestrian friendly plazas. Great location close to so many historical attractions. Plenty of parking in the area also close to the new train route L3.

There is a legend that if a bad act performs in this theater, the roof will collapse. So they only book the best. The Jalisco Philharmonic left me amazed and in wonder. A beautiful theater and the tickets are very affordable because the government subsidizes them!

What a wonderful evening. Top tiered venue, excellent musicians, and the operatic singers accompanying them on some of the music was superb. I was not expecting such an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this to anyone!

I had never been so impressed by a building. This is a very beautiful historical theater. It has so much detail. It looks like one of those old- time movie theaters. It is amazing. You might be able to catch a show, but if you don't you'll still be allowed to go inside and visit the place. Tip: they have a small restaurant right next door with great deals on pizza and beer/ margaritas.

This theater is a marvel. It was finished in 1861 and is absolutely beautiful. Don't miss a symphony there if you are lucky enough one is scheduled during your time in this vibrant city. We sat on the third oor balcony almost toward the center. The acoustic was unbelievable

Looks like roman historical place, use to perform drama and Mariachi music and concerts. You can find Mariachi music performances at the entrance area. There's a common area in front of this, which includes Guadalajara sign, statues, fountain and great view of cathedral. Looks more beautiful in the night.

Top-end theater venue, great acoustics. Went to the 2023 Mariachi gala and was not disappointed. Teatro Degollado is a superb concert hall, with a seating capacity of around 1,600. Pro-Tip: Bar prices are predictably on the high side and the bar itself is not really large enough to cater for a full house, during the short intermissions. Pocket/purse searches happen at the door, so if you're trying to bring something in, you need to be creative.

Old world chic! We have waited almost a year to see it in person! There are no bad seats to watch any of the performances. The acoustics are so outstanding that the performers while singing do not use a microphone! We saw the ballet and the folkloric ballet of the University of Guadalajara which are a must see🇲🇽

I saw the philharmonic. They were fantastic. Super passionate. Great harmony. Loved it. The audience needs to get off their phones. Very distracting.

Wow, this place is so well taken care of and so beautiful. It just shows how much passion and detail people would put into the architecture back then. I do recommend anyone to visit this place when visiting Guadalajara. Plus it's free, all they ask for is for you to sign in.

Beautiful building but you can't take a bottle of water inside. I visited this place for concert but couldn't buy water inside and take it from outside. Madness in 2022 when administration can't suggest people to buy water, when don't allow to take it from outside. I had to feel thirst during watched concert. Interesting fact that you can buy drinks when you buy expensive ticket in first floor.
