It was my 6th time in GDL.. so I have my favorite places there.. ..till now my top spot was La Musa museum of arts.. but this place is pretty competitive. I know one can not compare art and restaurant but damn.. I found La Arepiza accidentally.. my first encounter with Venezuelan food. It is beautiful! I wish I asked them if all venezuelan food is as colourful as this one! I took like 10 pics of it through I consider taking pics of the dish silly Insta-habit. Taste for me was exotic and new. I really enjoyed! I mean it was explosion of tastes.. Totally recommend. Great experience. Enviroment is chilled and staff is interesting and chatty. Also I had the first really good coffee in GDL there! (but may I was not searching well before). I will come back. Thank you La Arepiza :)

I had the tortilla soup, best ever red, a shrimp empanada, the shrimp was grilled to perfection, and then desert..oh my, it was a good thing I went on my cheat day..Marquesa de Maracuyá Passion fruit ice cream pie, decorated with dark chocolate and biscuit.
