👍👍 I liked the museum. The outbuildings are in dire need of restoration; it would be very interesting to see the buildings from the inside... but nevertheless, it is useful for both children and adults to look and touch a little history. I recommend!

The Vasylivka Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve "Popov Manor House" (also known as Vasylivka Castle) is an established museum complex at a partly preserved manor house built between 1864 and 1884 near the town of Vasylivka, Ukraine by Vasili Popov Jr. (a grandson of General Vasili Stepanovich Popov). The historical and cultural reserve was created on 29 January 1993 in place of the existing Vasylivka museum of local history. Its Gothic Revival design is attributed to Nicholas Benois. The main house had a telescope, a picture gallery, and an ethnographic museum. The castle was looted by the Bolsheviks and ruined by the Germans in the Second World War. Restoration works did not start until the 1990s.

The road is good. Entrance 70 UAH. You definitely need to go see it). LEGEND about the step that makes wishes come true. Powers know about this place far beyond Vasilyevka and come to the estate especially for it. This step has been preserved from the side entrance to the castle, next to the only surviving tower. It is unknown who was the first to make a wish on it and test its power. However, those who come can stand on the step, close their eyes and make that very, cherished wish...)) and they say that it will definitely come true!

Good place for one-time accommodation. Inexpensive entrance tickets (70 hryvnia as of October 2021), but the territory is small. Not suitable for walking, but it’s worth checking out this attraction. Although only the tower remains of the castle itself, the remaining structures are not major. For the assortment, paintings by a famous artist of these places have been added. The staff is friendly. The condition of the estate itself is shabby; repairs are being carried out using budget funds, which are probably non-existent or small.

A beautiful place with incredible development prospects! Now you can visit a small museum and walk around the territory. If reconstruction is done, Popov Castle will become the pearl of the Zaporozhye region, I am sure. Polite staff and clean area. I like it!

It's a pity that everything is in such a state. A unique architectural object requiring investment, large investment.

I was very impressed with this place. It turns out there is a beautiful castle near my city, and I didn’t even know about it. I really enjoyed wandering there among the ruins and in the Popov estate itself it was very, very cool. I think this is a cool place to take your kids and show them some of our history. In addition, the building is quite well preserved, it is very interesting to find out how people lived more than 100 years ago, but they already had some amenities, it is very interesting about the railway. The girl guide tells a great story, although we just bought tickets without a tour, I really liked it and would recommend it again.

It used to be a nice palace before bolshevics. But it got plundered to take building blocks for some ugly buildings. Few fragments left only but they have nice ladies guides who love their history and have good sense of humour. Recommend to walk around with the guide and as a bonus you will get a story of the local ghost. You have to decide yourself is it kind or evil one.

It's actually shocking in what state the build is currently. Actually the major portion of it was condemned "beyond repair" by the soviets, and demolished. The marble and various other materials off the site were used to construct some of the buildings.

The guide Elena is great! The estate itself needs funding, and a lot of it, to restore it.
