This is a chain of local supermarkets, the last one not affiliated with a transnational chain. The service is great and you can find a wide selection of national and imported goods. It has an undeserved fame for being much more expensive than other supermarkets, but that probably is related to the fact they they regularly sell imported food which is not found elsewhere. For local products, prices are similar and sometimes lower than other offerings. They have updated their offering with an store brand which is generally good. They periodically run campaigns to collect funds for different causes and it was one of the first large supermarkets to try to place and emphasis on reusable bags and in general to try to reduce the use of plastic. Recently they added options for in-store pick-up and delivery at reasonable prices (1500 and 3000 respectively).

Ridiculously expensive. $40 USD just for two 5 Liter water jugs, less than half a pound of regular salmon and a candy bar. Don’t go here, if you want to pay reasonable prices drive or take the bus 1.5 miles down to the Maxi Pali this place is 4th the price of auto Mercado.

One of the best supermarkets around, very clean and tidy, offers a big selection of national and international products, contrary to popular belief this place is not expensive compared to other big supermarkets like Walmart. The produce is always fresh and there are many cashiers open with great customer service.

Nice and clean. The cashier clerk didn't even answer the greeting.

Security follows you around which is annoying. Some cashiers are always indifferent.

You can find lots of imported goods & locals in a rather cozy layout. The produce is lovely and it's getting better after the pandemic. Carts/trolleys get dissinfected & gel sanitiser is always available at the entrance.

Automercado used to have a great selection of imported goods, but somehow it feels it has gone down a bit in the last years. This year for Christmas they totally forgot to import the traditional Lebkuchen (the blue bags, with 4-5 different presentations) which had a great customer base in the Plaza del Sol location for Christmas time. Also beer selection is low, instead of having a lot of choices as before, now you'll find less brands (and types) and instead they have the shelves loaded with hundreds of the same brands...
