Castle
is
a
luxury
villa
built
from
plaster
rocks
in
1985
by
“Gerhard
Huebner”
a
German
expatriate
in
Nigeria
who
was
living
in
Kaduna
at
that
time.
It
took
him
4years
to
set
up
the
castle.
The
castle
have
been
existing
from
1989
till
date.
No
major
renovation
has
been
done
yet
the
building
is
still
standing
strong.
The
castle
consist
of
5
bedrooms
and
it
is
usually
booked
exclusively.
This
means
once
you
book,
you
have
the
whole
castle
to
yourself.
Behind
every
castle,
there
is
always
a
fairytale
story.
I
enjoyed
the
fairytale
story
behind
this
castle.
The
wizard
of
the
castle
gave
us
an
amazing
tour.
Yes,
I
met
the
wizard,
the
dragon
but
I
didn’t
meet
the
witch
😀.
We
explored
the
dungeon
tower
which
consists
of
4
bedrooms
(dungeon
1,
dungeon
2,
dungeon
3,
dungeon
4).
And
there
is
also
the
dragon
tower.
The
Castle
is
often
described
as
an
African
version
of
the
Bavarian
Castle
in
a
very
grand
19th-century
Romanesque
revival
style.
It
has
a
baronial
styled
hall,
coupled
with
dungeons
and
towers
lined
with
crenellated
walls.
The
castle
also
has
a
big
“knight’s
hall”
and
a
landlords
(masters)
residence
and
other
rooms
over
its
three
floors.
The
landlords
(masters)
residence
reflects
everything
we
see
in
movies.
This
castle
was
built
to
reflect
the
ancient
days.
There
are
only
few
modern
facilities
like
AC
which
is
aimed
at
making
guests
feel
comfortable.
Apart
from
those
few,
every
other
facilities
are
ancient.
Another
attractive
part
of
the
facility
is
the
open
courtyard
with
the
magnificent
large
stainless
swimming
pool
and
pool
chairs,
plus
a
barbeque
area
complete
with
an
outdoor
oven.
This
castle
can
only
accommodate
12
individuals
or
5
couples
at
a
time.
On
days
when
they
don’t
have
guests
on
the
property,
they
are
also
open
for
day-cations
A
week
vacation
or
weekend
getaway
here
would
be
blissful!
The
castle
needs
a
revamp
in
terms
of
cleaning
and
an
administrative
team
to
actively
run
it.
The
aspect
of
security
cannot
be
overlooked
too.
It’s
been
hard
for
people
to
visit
again
after
the
sad
incident
that
occurred
on
19th
April
2019.
I
visited
on
05th
March,
2021.
I
didn’t
feel
unsafe.
