Kajuru Castle is an exclusive and luxurious total getaway built in an early medieval style at Kajuru village in the trade city of Kaduna, a major commercial hub in the northern part of Nigeria. This gorgeous architectural masterpiece with breathtaking ambience is set upon elevated peaks with staggering views. Kajuru Castle is styled in a European and clearly German way with a baronial hall, complete with suits of armour. This castle operates on an exclusive basis and can only accommodate 12 individuals or 5 couples at a time. This tourist delight which has been the setting of popular music videos has a live crocodile while gorgeous peacocks are known to move around. The rooms are spread across the castle’s three floors which feature four dungeon rooms, a central building with an authentic knights’ hall and a master’s bedroom fitted with air conditioners, televisions, sofas, beds and private bathrooms, as well as a dragon tower well guarded by ‘dragons’. Guests can either bring or plan for their meals or ask the management to make an arrangement with food service providers in town, who will make deliveries at an extra cost. However, guests can choose to use the castle’s sufficiently equipped kitchen. The BBQ spot beside the pool offers a wide range of grilling, baking, roasting and barbequing opportunities. During 'frosty' African nights, the Finnish sauna ensures a warming pleasure. On the Castle rooftop, there is a set of tables and chairs that can sit no less than 10 guests at a time. There is also a garden. The most attractive part of the facility is the open courtyard with the magnificent large stainless swimming pool and pool chairs, plus a barbeque area complete with an outdoor oven.

Kajuru Castle is a luxury Medieval-German style villa, built over 3 decades ago located in Kaduna State, Nigeria. The villa is designed with bedrooms modelled after dungeons and several towers with crenellated walls. The medieval theme is seen throughout the castle, it even has a portcullis (the vertically closing gate) with a crocodile pit. The castle includes a guest tower with  4 rooms and the main building with a knights’  hall and a master suite ( also known as the “landlord’s residence”). There’s an outdoor swimming pool for cooling off on hot days and a barbeque spot right by the pool.  From the pool area and most of the castle windows, you will enjoy a fascinating view of the surrounding mountains and inselbergs. The Castle also has its own Sauna!

DO NOT VISIT KAJURU CASTLE UNTIL THE GOVERNMENT IMPROVE ON SECURITY! I hate to be the bearer of bad news especially for a place that is really lovely and well maintained. Also I enjoyed the service they rendered. But on my visit kidnappers/robbers(who knows what they were) came and many gun shots after led to 2 members of the tour dead, 1 other random passerby dead and 3 staff of the castle kidnapped. So as lovely as our experience was initially... The aftermath has scarred and traumatised us all.... I certainly won't be encouraging anyone to go

It is funny how this ancient medieval castle like many other in africa built and inhabited by black kings in time past, never get a credit it truly deserve but the honour of it was given to so called European as part of the conspiracy against the black people. History has it that envious European presence in Africa were to destroy castles, rewrite history,, rob and pillage the continent , and employed iconoclasm to destroyed many of the preserve heritages or sense of pride of the people they colonized, Hence why this obvious 13th century medieval battlement castle by the help of the corrupt Nigerian government was able to credit the ownership to German man, who renovate it so as to not give the black people hope of the dark ages when the black people ruled over the European, so as to not be able to trace such battlement castle to the ones black kings and queen built and left in Europe before they were overcame. Ezekiel 39:23 “And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.”

For people that like staying close to nature, staying away from city noise, this is ideal. You get everything you need to exist, water, generator, sauna, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor barbecue, sound system, beautiful scenery, George, the crocodile, the dragon and ghosts, all waiting to keep you company. But the stairs didn't do it for me, security not enough, risk ???

The Castle stands atop a community in Kajuru. It's such a beauty, especially looking that it is located in a suburb in Kaduna. Up the hill I went and wide open were the gates to welcome me. Oh my! My heart broke when I realised that this outstanding structure has been deserted due to "insecurity", leaving a lot of things in a wreck. Nonetheless, I absolutely love the place. George, the crocodile and the peacocks were in good shape. I saw lots of monkeys from afar the mountain top. I'd love to visit again when situation of things normalises there. PS- It was a rainy day.

Kajuru Castle is a luxury villa built from plaster rocks in 1985 by “Gerhard Huebner” a German expatriate in Nigeria who was living in Kaduna at that time. It took him 4years to set up the castle. The castle have been existing from 1989 till date. No major renovation has been done yet the building is still standing strong. The castle consist of 5 bedrooms and it is usually booked exclusively. This means once you book, you have the whole castle to yourself. Behind every castle, there is always a fairytale story. I enjoyed the fairytale story behind this castle. The wizard of the castle gave us an amazing tour. Yes, I met the wizard, the dragon but I didn’t meet the witch 😀. We explored the dungeon tower which consists of 4 bedrooms (dungeon 1, dungeon 2, dungeon 3, dungeon 4). And there is also the dragon tower. The Castle is often described as an African version of the Bavarian Castle in a very grand 19th-century Romanesque revival style. It has a baronial styled hall, coupled with dungeons and towers lined with crenellated walls. The castle also has a big “knight’s hall” and a landlords (masters) residence and other rooms over its three floors. The landlords (masters) residence reflects everything we see in movies. This castle was built to reflect the ancient days. There are only few modern facilities like AC which is aimed at making guests feel comfortable. Apart from those few, every other facilities are ancient. Another attractive part of the facility is the open courtyard with the magnificent large stainless swimming pool and pool chairs, plus a barbeque area complete with an outdoor oven. This castle can only accommodate 12 individuals or 5 couples at a time. On days when they don’t have guests on the property, they are also open for day-cations A week vacation or weekend getaway here would be blissful! The castle needs a revamp in terms of cleaning and an administrative team to actively run it. The aspect of security cannot be overlooked too. It’s been hard for people to visit again after the sad incident that occurred on 19th April 2019. I visited on 05th March, 2021. I didn’t feel unsafe.

This is one of Kaduna’s best-kept secrets and is sometimes even considered a myth. Don’t be wary because it’s a real place, Kajuru is a European-style castle sitting on a rock hidden in Kajuru local Government, South-east of Kaduna. Yes, House on the rock and it covers about 400 square metres. It was built in 1976 and is a popular attraction among adventurous tourist. Tourists try to find their way to the palace by climbing the hills around it, a truly exciting experience.

This resort is located in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State in North Western Nigeria. The natives of the community are Adara majority... This is a great place for a weekend get away, honey moon or time out with friends, family and loved ones. The place has beautiful scenery with lots of great views from any side of the castle which is located on a hill some kilometers away from the main Kajuru town. It has a great pool It is a private property and most times you will have to book ahead of time if you really want to enjoy your stay there.

When it appeared that nobody in the whole of the city knew it's location, I stopped in from of Kaduna State University to ask the students. To my surprise, nobody knew. All the tricycle operators did not know too. I then asked a motorcycle operator to take me on a physical search. We parabulated the whole estate in front of the University and also behind the university. The closest thing we saw was Kajuru Close. It was exhaustingly disappointing. I left without knowing where it's located. Shame.

Wow the concept of Kajuru castle is one that allows you and yours become princesses and princes for a some hours, a day or a weekend - traveling back in time when castles were it. I did the one hour tour - its 20k Naira for 10 people - which is okay but there isnt really much ou can do in hour except you just want to take pictures. I think a package for 4 to 5 hours would be more appropriate where you could use the pool. The thing though is whenever there are guests in there its exclusively their home for the said timeframe. So its actually more attractive to groups or couples who love being alone in castles :-)

Beautiful castle located up rock in kajuru local government of kaduna state. Location can be used for parties, receptions, events and lots more. Can accommodate but a few for sleep overs. They offer tour services within the castle. And is best advised to come with your food and drink supplies. I have not been here in a while as serveral reports of unrest were recorded. Its advised that one makes proper findings before embarking on the trip to this beauty.
