#JoeFoodTour I love ❤️ Houston's diverse food scene. Happy birthday 🎂🎉🎊🎁🎈 lunch for a dear friend. Ordered classic Nigerian dishes such as pounded yam with spinach/efo, melon seed/egusi, Pomo and super healthy hibiscus/zobo drink. Felt like I traveled outside of Houston for an hour. Classy with an upbeat vibe... definitely check out the Nextdoor lounge. #HowdyFromHouston #ThePropertyJoes

I just waisted my money on another Naija restaurant food in this country, what is the actual problem with this restaurants that they can’t hire a professional chef from Naija. I can cook perfect okra soap. This is not okra soup but look like soup prepared in a jungle due to immediate preparation. Not impressed at all. It doesn’t taste good, no spicy with those smoked fish.

When I visit from New York this the best place for me to get Naija food. They are consistent , flavorful & friendly. The beef Suya with Jolof & Chicken Egusi is my go to . Order online because the food takes a long time. Friendly staff , AMAZING flavor , horrible parking. Try it.. you will fall in love

It's my first time visiting Houston and all I knew was I wanted to try African restaurants and Aria had really great reviews and ratings so my hubby and I went for it. The ambiance is really nice and well decorated. Staff were welcoming and sat us right away. Our waitress was pleasant and took our orders immediately and food came by pretty quick (usually, most African restaurants take FOREVER to bring your food, maybe they weren't busy when we came). We ordered peppered kpomo, jollof rice with beef, asun with jollof-rice, beef suya. We enjoyed everything but had to take some home. I will definitely recommend if you come at off peak hours like we did. Not sure how the service is when it's busy busy.

I got the suya sample (beef, chicken and shrimp) with pineapple juice and a side of jollof rice; it was delicious- well seasoned with good spiciness. My mom grew up in Nigeria and has had suya before and she said it tasted authentic which was great for me to hear. Beforehand (not pictured), they brought out dried plantain chips with stew as an appetizer, which was also good. One side is a lounge which is like a bar the other side is a restaurant. I accidentally broke my glass cup and even after that the staff was really nice and took care of me and the mess.

Everything was so good. The suya wings, shrimp/crawfish, and the catfish soup were excellent, my favorites. Goat was tender.

Aria is an entire vibe. The owner was present when I went and EVERYTHING was so tasteful. I will definitely be back. If I didn't stay so far away Id definitely eat there every 2 days. I cannot find one thing on the menu that doesnt taste good and I am hard to impress.

First time visit at this restaurant and it was a beautiful experience overall. Great customer service, delicious food, nice ambience and more. It was a Friday night and parking was a bit of a hassle. I would definitely visit again when in the area.

If I could give this place 0 I would . The only thing that I liked was the plantain and spinach . The beef suya taste so tasteless and boring as if a lazy person made it . There isn’t salt , the seasoning doesn’t hit right and it’s not even spicy 😒

Was my first time visiting city of Houston. The eatery has a very welcoming ambiance, nice decor, and friendly waitresses. I tried several dishes - all very tasty, even the free hors d'oeuvre. The palm wine mimosa too was strong and refreshing. Impressive place; I highly recommend this eatery.

Very impressive spot. The ambience was nice and so was the food. This is probably the best nigerian restaurant in Houston, hands down. Service could be a bit better but in all, I'll still give it a 5 star.

Very relaxed chill vibes, kids friendly in the restaurant, the lounge is separate from the restaurant , theres hookah in the lounge as well. The food is good , staffs are good as well, although on busy days a few can be stressed which is expected. They have a good cocktail list with blends of Nigerian favourites like palmwine, zobo and chapman

My husband and I absolutely love this place!! He always gets the grilled fish and I get the beef with plantains. It is delicious and filling. The plantains are a hit or miss usually, but other than that, this place is a gem!

This was my first time going and I had the Asun with Jollof Rice and Plantains. It was very delicious especially with this being my first time having goat meat and Jollof rice. If you like a some spice to your food this is the perfect dish for you. Also, our waitress Onyi was very nice, helpful and attentive. I definitely will drive 30 miles again to eat here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Nigerian cuisine at Aria. But nothing motivates to leave a review at any location I patron than excellent service. That’s exactly what I experienced at Aria. The owner noticed my brothers and I were waiting on our orders and watching sports on our phone. He personally came over and asked us to follow him to lounge area with seating to watch any game we wanted comfortably while eating. Then when the food arrived it was as expected, absolutely delicious. This spot is must visit when in Houston.

This is such a cute spot. The staff was great. The food does take a bit, but it's good. I got the suya beef and shrimp with plantains. The drinks are strong, so be prepared.

We were so excited to try African food for the first time and this place did not disappoint. We had an amazing waitress named Sidney. She was wonderful and walked us through all the dishes and answered all of our questions. Service and food was great! Would definitely recommend and we plan on returning next time we're in Houston.

I enjoyed eating at this restaurant ..Food was very tasty and I really liked the plantain chips with the stew that’s served as you sit down to order. I ordered the platter which had a variety of protein and a portion of jollof rice. Really delicious. I highly recommend .

First, they are disorganized with their time, most times you go there they are closed, so it’s best you call before going. Asked for jollof rice with goat meat. Pleaded for my goat meat to be served in smaller chunks cos I hate to struggle with big chunks, they had a problem with me asking to be served in smaller chunks and told me next time they won’t cut it for me cos they are too busy for that. Finally goat meat arrives and it’s not hot. The heat did not get to the inner part of the meat so I ended up abandoning the meat. I do not understand why the jollof rice is soaked up in sauce. I did not ask for jollof and sauce. Probably sauce from the meat. Not my style. The only good thing on my plate was the jollof rice without the sauce. Wait a minute, Is that shrimps I see in my spinach ? It will please you to know not everyone eats shrimps. I ordered fried yam and asun to go but because I wasn’t satisfied with the service, I had to cancel. Finally, I give up and won’t be returning to this place.

Came here on a Saturday evening with a party of 3; 4 if you include my younger son. The restaurant has very beautiful decor; it is connected to a lounge however it is sectioned off. I like the idea because you can enjoy the music as well as your meal without the awkward silence or hearing other patrons conversations. Everyone ordered something different. Me personally I ordered the spicy goat, which was so tender and tasted amazing.VERY SPICY 😋 My only complaint was my drink and meal was served separately than everyone else. Everyone got their drinks, I had to ask for mine. Everyone got their meal, I had to check on mine. Communication is key, our waiter should have kept me informed on the preparation delay of my meal, and my drink should have been served with my son’s. Other than that, we had fun and enjoyed the food; which is why we still tipped. I absolutely would revisit again.

  • 4/5 Saleemah O. 3 years ago on Google
I'm really liking this place for dining and drinks. The food was flavorful, the drinks were well crafted. We even enjoyed the lounge which was having its soft opening. The service was attentive and professional. I'm loving the decor - chic and elegant. Definitely going to be coming back for the food, drinks, and ambiance.

This is the first time I tried Nigerian cuisine. Ambience is pretty nice and simple. There limited items in the menu and absolutely no veg options. So my veggie friend had to go somewhere else. I ordered Asun Spicy Grilled Goat meat with Jollof rice and plaintain. Tasted authentic as I had nothing like this before. Very spicy!! The only complaint is the meat was too chewy and lot of bones. They served complimentary plaintain chips with a veggie stew. The veggie stew was made of tomatoes and amazing in taste!!

As with any establishment hospitality is the most important, even if the food isn't great a very good hospitality can overshadow sub par food. Overall the food wasn't bad, the peppersoup was great and the dodo was soft. The only take away is the quality of service, when people come in welcome them and seat them and take orders much quicker .

  • 5/5 Justin L. 1 year ago on Google
Nice authentic Nigerian food with a cool vibe to it. I enjoyed the Ram surf & turf that was full of spice and flavor. I went for the food, but could see myself enjoying the lounge with friends. Definitely a great experience l.

  • 4/5 Desiree R. 2 years ago on Google
First time trying this place and it was so good! This is the mighty platter and I do recommend it since it comes with all the meats! You’d just have to add the rice which is spicy but phenomenal! The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because the beginning didn’t start to strong. I entered the restaurant and no one greets/seeing you’re dining in or Togo…so I stood there for 10 mins until I sat myself. There was only one waitress on the floor so I see why it took awhile for her to notice me. There was also a lady behind the bar doing some togos but once again the actual waitress on the floor was doing everything. Taking togos orders/ handing them out, bussing tables, running food, & taking orders. I just wish her team helped her out more. The waitress was the sweetest and I do appreciate her for being so amazing!

When you have workers that don’t care about your restaurant making money ??‍♀️ I asked to place an order. No menu. No greet. Eye rolling. I only wanted food. This is not the place to visit if you are hungry and want to order food. I will make sure that everyone I know in my community not visit here. I have came here on several visits before and the other ladies staff have been very good at placing orders with bright smiles and pleasant attitudes. This new staff I’m saving you the headache. She acted like she didn’t want my money. Guess I will take it else where they want it This is your pay check short not mines?

Authentic Nigerian cuisine with a great ambience. The servers are very friendly and professional. Its hard to imagine a place with better combination of design and food quality. They also had vegetation options and location is close to Gerald Hines Waterwall park.

    Good service, food and atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Gabie W. 4 years ago on Google
This restaurant is very trendy and relatively new. In my opinion, the price is high for the amount of food you get. They have some interesting drinks to choose from including Zobo, Chapman’s, and palm wine. In my opinion, the best item on the menu is the suya wings. Again, I would rate this place higher but the portions are small. This is a cool place to meet with friends or even go on a very casual date.

This is a great Nigerian spot. The service is great, live music and the food was amazing. Enough sitting for a lot of people and great ambience that exhumes the beauty of African food. Pricing is also great. Parking is a bit tight but most times, you can find parking. Would definitely recommend.

I had the pleasure of eating here and the experience was great. It was my first taste of Nigerian food and they did not disappoint. I ordered the crawfish/shrimp and spinach with jollof. Everything was seasoned to perfection and delivered timely. Hostess and whom I assume was the owner provided excellent service. Will definitely make this a new lunch spot!!!

Great customer service, presentation and sense of professionalism. The zobo was on point. The jollof rice was decent but I’ve had better at another restaurant in Houston (hence the 4 stars). Definitely worth a visit though.

Excellent service and even better food. I called to place an order a few minutes before closing and they were gracious enough to allow me to place my order. The food is the best Nigerian food I've had at a restaurant. I'll definitely visit again next time I'm in Houston.

I like the goat meat pepper soup here although it's very expensive ($15+ after tax for one small bowl with not that much meat as you would expect). But it does taste good & fresh. The jollof rice & plantain has definitely improved in the past year. They have very good customer service and the atmosphere is great with good music. Dining is a good experience and they are very respectful. Great spot for lunch with friends or family. I'm glad to have such a modern and upscale/casual Nigerian restuarant with GOOD customer service in Houston! Parking is challenging though

I did not enjoy my experience at Aria today. The waitress kept forgetting our orders and we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, appetizers and much longer for food. I ordered the designer stew and it did not taste good at all. Worst of all the food was over priced.

I've been going to African restaurants and this beats them all 150%! Extremely top notch! I don't really critique restaurants, but my experience at Aria today deserves a great critique. From the very moment we entered to the time we left! Is it the friendly environment, the delicious food, the food presentation, or the service? They've got it all down! One of my pet peeves is poor customer service. It just makes my skin cringe. Aria's customer services is simply exceptional! The young lady with low cut hair who attended to us was superb! Excellent! The way she attended to us promptly as well as other guest, her keen knowledge of the food they serve, her friendly demeanor, her smile, and everything about her was excellent. She represented Aria brand excellently. And their supervisor topped it off so nicely! They say leaders lead by example, I can see how she leads in her employees. You guys are awesome! Thank you for making our day today! Will definitely be back.
