Jhalobia Recreation Park and Gardens is on Muritala Mohammed International Airport Road, Lagos. It is situated between the Hajj Camp and Ajao Estate. Visitors to Jhalobia are always awed to discover a haven of carefully planned park and garden space with its beautiful, unspoilt, tranquillity in the heart of boisterous Lagos. It is a multi-purpose park and a unique events centre built in 1998 by a mother Mrs. Veronica Adepoju and her two daughters, Ifuemi and Ameto who are landscape designers. The park is built out of the passion for beautification of Mrs. Adepoju as well as her desire to affect other people’s lives positively, she believes that a beautiful environment would work better as an enabling ground for running of her programmes aimed at bringing about the revival of the lost values and virtues of the fifties, sixties and the early seventies in other to uplift the quality of family life. The two-acre park is a tapestry of beautiful and functional garden features such as the ever-green lawns, walk ways, topiaries of different shapes, sculpture, water falls, fountains, ponds, rock gardens, gazebos of different sizes of exotic trees, palms and flowers, it also has a children’s play ground equipped with play toys. The park is known for its expansive space for guests and it beauty. The recreation park provides the ideal setting for superb white weddings, nikai, traditional, registry or engagements. Jhalobia is also suitable for picnics, product launches, school visits, religious retreats, anniversaries, quiet time with nature and a perfect location for movie and musical shoots. It has a stunning environment which brings a unique atmosphere to your events. Jhalobia Recreation Park, has a perfect setting for your parties, with enough space for up to two thousand five hundred (2500) guests. Its impressive fifty five meters red carpeted aisle, gives a feeling of royalty to the celebrant. The well cultured gardens are a photographer’s delight. On a wedding day, the bride and groom can cause a stir by arriving in a helicopter and parking on the lawn. You can ride on horses as there is wide expanse to move on. It is an unfettered fun galore for the children at the party on your wedding day at no extra cost on the children’s play ground. There is the advantage of our Restaurant and bar and 2-2-1 village for private entertainment with buffet meals or barbecue. Parked cars are safe as we have both armed and plain clothes security personnel on surveillance during events. Jhalobia Recreation Park and Garden is one of the premier recreation parks and gardens in Nigeria. It is located on Murtala Muhammed Airport Road, Lagos. It is marked by a stylish use of tropical plants and architecture. So why don’t we take time out and visit for amazing natural view which make peace with our body and soul

Serving three different purposes - large event place for religious and oolitical activities, bus station and also shops and offices. Beautifully renovated bus station. My main attraction is the sit out and beautiful and artistic white cover for rain and sunshine. The first time I was there after it was opened, my first thought was, this is a kind of place I see abroad and go taking pictures endlessly 😁.. The whole Tafawa Balewa square is wearing new look by day. Impressive

Tafawa Balewa square, named after one of Nigeria's late Presidents. When Lagos State was the capital of Nigeria, the Tafawa Balewa Square used to host the Independence Day Celebrations. The square is one of the symbols of the country's National Pride. It has seen some renovations over the years with the TBS Bus terminal being one of those renovations. The square also hosts numerous events and exhibitions from time to time. Wheel chair accessible parking and wheel chair access is available at the venue.

It's located 45/57 Massey Bamgboshe Street, Lagos Island. It's a very polished place, a historical landmark and a ceremonial ground. TBS Brt terminal is directly in front. Lagos food bank held a walkathon here.

The landscape complemented our aesthetic approach to the walkabout. I and my babe achieved spontaneity with the landscape. It was simply all about the landscape for us and our picture-perfect pairing. Lovely experience.

This is one of the beauties of Lagos. Was there for #TheExperience14 and the filled capacity of this one time parade square was a sight to behold. It's got four entry / exit points with massive gates. Gates are adored with statues of (5) horses and (about 6) eagles each for individual gates. It was initially built as a race track. The independence day March/parade was held here. TBS, as it's usually called holds dear Nigeria's metamorphosis

Nigeria had its independence at this venue on October 1, 1960. It still holds big events notably the Lagos International Trade Fair. You can also get buses to different parts of Lagos from there.

Historic site named after Alhaji Tafawa Balewa. It is used for rally's and really big events. The seats resemble those of a stadium and it has tracks similar to those for sporting events. It has a race course attached to it. The square is surrounded by business offices and two bus terminals are behind it. There's a smaller hall for indoor events. The square is clean and well cared for. It's a good place to bring children to. They'll get a bit of history in.

Best bus terminal in Lagos yet! It's more beautiful in the night!!! There's music (radio), there's refreshments, and there are seating spaces. There's a rest room too. If you're not taking a bus, you can just go there take a seat and enjoy the view and music. It's a really lovely environment, especially at night.

This is a very monumental place for Lagos state Nigeria. Its called race course. It's also a good landmark for locating places and people. It dates back into the pre colonial era and it has since become a part of the city of Lagos. It's quite spacious, its an area that's often used as an even centre or for national gatherings. There was once a memorial service for the late Ojukuwu. It has a very high capacity for over 5000 people at least. Its can be used for religious gathering and even for sport. A visit to the place as a tourist is also not a bad idea. Its situated in the heart of Lagos city itself which is on the west coast of Ngeria. It's beautiful serene and wide environment is very commendable. It's well maintained and kept. It's a great place to be and to have your events if it's a large one. It's quite accessible. Transport to and fro this arena is also a great advantage. It is easily located since it's well known to most in the area. Infact it can't be missed:the statues of the horses makes it quite noticeable indeed.

Tafawa Balewa Square is an iconic spot in Lagos state, it is a 50 thousand capacity stadium for people, it is located in the middle of Lagos island, and it is also the place Nigeria celebrated her first independence in 1960. Inside the Square, you will also find other business ventures like, Agencies for Air Travelling, shopping centers, bus terminals, restaurant, parking lots etc. I went there to get my Permanent Voter's Card( PVC) but the crowd was too much so I had to leave and reschedule. Its a very nice and busy place with so many people and activities going on daily, well kept, clean and secured.

TBS is situated on the lagos Island part of the excellent state of LAGOS. It's an historical building, that serves as an integral part of dear nation Nigeria. Be there to see for yourself.. It's a beautiful historical edifice! 🏢🇳🇬👏

What can I say, it has hosted a number of large events, and there's always events happening there consistently, some open open to the public. It hosted some events like Experience, Trade Fair, Slay Festival just to mention a few. So it's a place you can always check from time to time to see what's happening just in case you feel like going out. And also there are offices and business centers where you accomplish various task. So when you are around there, feel free to check it out.

It is a national heritage, this is where the British government handed over the right of self governance to my people. It's a square with a rich history for Nigeria. That place also house the old parliament chamber, during the early days of our independence. Today it the iconic ground for the renowned Experience Show. An annual Gospel Music feaster held in Lagos and hosted by House on the Rock...

Just like any pubic property, poor maintenance culture is prevalent in there. Although, you'll give kudos to those who conceived, designed and implemented the project, decades behind. I can categorically say that the best maintenance done was the one at completion of the project. PreIndependence structures are better no thanks to irresponsible government. May the proposed concession sail through so that the the TBS can be rebuilt.

I discovered this garden which happened to be close to my house, after being disappointed by the pre arranged venue I was to use for my daughter's birthday. I was so distraught, disoriented and frustrated with the previous venue's disappointment that I was such a mess.. I had to start redirecting my guests who already made it to the previous venue and calling everyone to change venue, it was awful. But the team at Jhalobia park turned things around very quickly.. They were very kind, extremely helpful, catered to my tight budget and gave the kids the BEST TIME ever! I was so overwhelmed with the love that even this review is not enough to express how grateful I am. A beautiful and well maintained park with swings and slides for kids.. my daughter's birthday was saved. Thanks to the wonderful team at Jhalobia recreational park!

Quite a hassle, as the venue was visited during the trade fair week, had to pass through the security as the ticket only allows one time entrance, if you head out and want to head in back, you'll have to pay for the fee again. The stalls were well organised, items sold at almost the same price in the open market except for a handful. Overall experience was great

Great Architectural Design. Noticed the Square had one entrance gate and one exit gate. On the entrance gate, there are 12 Red Eagles (6 Left & 6 Right, Opposite Views); 8 White Horses (4 Left & 4 Right, Opposite Views); 3 Eyo Statues & 1 Black Statue (Looks like a Slave or Someone Hopeful, Looking towards the sky with hands in begging/praying form). On the exit gate, there are 12 Red Eagles (6 Left & 6 Right, Opposite Views); 8 White Horses (4 Left & 4 Right, Opposite Views); 3 Eyo Statues & 1 Black Statue (Looks like a Slave or Someone Hopeful, Looking towards the sky with hands in begging/praying form). One Coat of Arms and alot of installed lights which looked not well maintained. Its still a great place but needs proper renovation and preservation.

The 14.5-hectare (35.8-acre) ceremonial ground is located at Onikan, Lagos and is popularly referred to as ‘TBS’ is one of the top spots to visit in Lagos. It is a huge facility for high octane events like the annual Lagos International Trade Fair organised by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It has several entrances, well managed rest rooms, office spaces, shops, parking lot and covered bleachers. There is a BRT park right in front of the main entrance.

Ok for big events. Though underutilized management can do better to improve tourism potential of the facility.

Named after Nigeria's first Prime Minister, Tafawa Balewa Square is situated in Lagos city center. It is surrounded by impressive buildings and memorial sites, and is in constant use for a variety of celebrations and official functions. Regardless of when you visit, you are sure to find some sort of activity going on, which makes Tafawa Balewa Square a great place to experience Nigerian culture. Located in the center of Lagos Island, Tafawa Balewa Square was where Nigeria celebrated its independence on October 1st, 1960. Prime Minister Balewa announced the country's independence in his speech held at this square on this day.

This place remain a popular landmark in the country. The structure is the pride of the country. We now have high court all around it and many other businesses now operate around and within the premises. There is enough available parking space and security guide at every entrance and exit.

The place is very serene and accessible as it used to be the National Assembly prior to 1991 before the Federal Capital was relocated to Abuja. There's also the presence of the State High Court just beside it. In short, it's a good place to be.

This is a central point in the heart of Lagos State where you can easily do your affidavit, access BRT buses going towards Ojodu-Berger, Ikorodu Road and Ikorodu Town. Just beside TBS you have the National Museum and the City Mall if you are up for some fun and adventure.

It's a very big event location for shows, parades or whatever have you. Also, there are job agencies that can help you get good paying job in Lagos depending on your level of qualification. There are travel agencies as well and other complex for shopping. It's cool area with basic amenities for standard complex.
