Enjoyed
our
first
visit
to
the
MCA,
although
it
was
much
different
from
what
we
expected.
The
new
"Public
Enemy"
exhibit
featuring
works
by
Gary
Simmons
fills
the
fourth
floor.
This
is
a
stunning
and
thought-provoking
exhibit
on
systemic
racism
in
US
visual
arts
culture.
So
glad
we
experienced
this.
There
wasn't
a
general
permanent
exhibit
of
contemporary
art
available.
Instead,
we
saw
two
large
exhibits
on
different
cultural
critiques.
Gift
shop
is
two
floors
with
a
nice
variety
of
items
in
terms
of
interests,
taste,
and
price.
However,
most
of
the
items
were
related
to
art
that
wasn't
on
display,
so
that
seemed
a
little
odd.
Restrooms
are
on
the
first
floor,
which
can
be
tough
to
access
for
anyone
who
relies
on
the
busy
elevators.
Signs
indicate
a
non-gender
restroom
on
the
second
floor,
but
we
didn't
ever
find
it.
Plenty
of
places
to
sit
on
benches
to
rest.
Huge
windows
offering
views
of
the
city
to
the
west
and
of
the
lake
to
the
east.
Just
a
two-mile
walk
from
Union
Station,
but
also
accessible
via
public
transit.
FREE
admission
on
Tuesdays
for
Illinois
residents!
We
look
forward
to
returning
again
for
new
exhibits.
