Fabulous 360 degree panorama depicting scenes from this famous battle. The central circular platform provides very good viewing and it's been created in such a way that the ground between the canvas and the viewing platform becomes part of the Battle scene and merges into the canvas creating an almost 3D effect. It's useful to pick up an audio guide which takes you through and explains the scenes depicted in this huge painting. Sessions every 30 minutes, I didn't book in advance but went early. This is a very popular attraction.

Visiting the Panorama of the Battle of Racławice is akin to stepping back in time to witness a pivotal moment in history, captured on an epic scale. This amazing piece of historic treasure offers an immersive experience that is both educational and awe-inspiring. The overall tour lasts approximately 30 minutes, a perfect duration to appreciate the grandeur without feeling rushed. However, a hidden gem not to be missed is the mini panorama view on the ground floor, which provides a unique perspective and adds depth to your visit. The painting itself is nothing short of breathtaking. The level of detail, the scale, and the way it captures the essence of a significant historical event are truly remarkable. This attraction is universally appealing, making it a must-visit for history buffs, art lovers, and anyone looking to experience a unique piece of cultural heritage. The Panorama of the Battle of Racławice is not just a painting; it's a powerful reminder of the past, presented in a way that is accessible and engaging for all.

I think I'm really a fan of panoramas like this. Unlike ones I've seen in the DPRK, Syria and France, this one isn't viewed from a motorised central seating area, but you can walk around, (with an audioguide if you don't speak polish). This one is however much older (19th century, although in great nick). It commemorates a dramatic, but ultimately fruitless victory by a (largely) peasant polish army over the russians and is full of romantic and dramatic scenes of hussars, cossacks, tartars and the like slaughtering each other and/oor charging artillary, as well as details like the peasant extinguishing the fuse on a cannon with his hat The uniforms are exactly what you imagine when you think of dashing cavalry. Downstairs there is a section that explains, alternately, the story of the painting itself and the wider story of the battle, though the latter is a bit hard to follow for non polish speakers. Technically I think it is a masterpiece of realism, and the way the foreground melds into the painting is very impressive. NB I think the ticket here gets you into the nearby National Museum (which is also very good) for free.

Nice small introduction to part of Polish history. The show itself will take only half an hour, beware of the queue to buy ticket at popular time. Painting itself is splendidly done with much detail. Foreigners get audio guides - available in many languages including German, English, Spanish and Czech.

A must visit place, the artist will blow your imagination out with the kind of painting he has done and the way it's recreated after going through the tough time of war. It's worth every penny spend to see it, the people very friendly and you get to hear the entire history of the Polish war. Very inspiring one and for sure you will fall in love with the place.

(Translated by Google) The museum is closed to visitors. The website has no information about this. There is also no short text on the current situation on the front door. Maybe they will open in October / November. I wasted some of my limited vacation time. Maybe in the future I will visit. At the moment, I have a negative attitude towards tourists. (Original) Muzeum nieczynne dla odwiedzających. Na stronie internetowej nie mają informacji o tym. Na drzwiach wejściowych również brak krótkiej treści o obecnej sytuacji. (Translated by Google) The museum is located in a beautiful, baroque tenement house near the Wrocław market square. It has an impressive collection of min. equipment of a former pharmacy, former pharmaceuticals or laboratory glassware. Exhibitions are presented on three floors. The museum tour is guided, full hours. The admission ticket is free. The guide tells many interesting facts. It is worth coming here when you are in Wroclaw. I think it is one of the most interesting museums in the capital of Lower Silesia. I would recommend! (Original) Muzeum ulokowane jest w pięknej, barokowej kamienicy nieopodal rynku Wrocławia. Posiada imponujące zbiory min. wyposażenie dawnej apteki, dawne środki farmaceutyczne czy szkło laboratoryjne. Wystawy są prezentowane na 3 kondygnacjach. Zwiedzanie muzeum odbywa się z przewodnikiem, o pełnych godzinach. Bilet wstępu jest darmowy. Przewodnik opowiada wiele ciekawostek. Warto tutaj przyjść gdy jest się we Wrocławiu. Myślę, że jest to jedno z najciekawszych muzeów w stolicy Dolnego Śląska. Polecam!

Superb 360° panoramic artwork of 1724 battle in Wroclaw. Hard to tell where real land in front of you merges with the painting and you really feel you are there. highly recommended

Unique opportunity to see panoramic painting of Battle of Raclawice. There are just a few of those paintings around the world, so if you are in Wroclaw, it's a must-see. Book your tickets online in advance. If you try to buy walk-in tickets, it's very likely that you will have to wait for your time slot for at least an hour. Don't come too early. You will have to stand in the hall in a kind of awkward crowd as nobody manages the queue. If you have a big bag/backpack, you can leave it for free in the cloakroom. Visiting rotunda takes 30 minutes. Entrance slots are every half an hour. Staff checks tickets and lets the whole group inside the rotunda. There is an audio guide played through speakers when you are inside the rotunda, but I recommend getting a personal free audio guide available from staff once you enter Rotunda. That will let you see painting at your own pace, not following the rest of the group moving around in a crowd.

I was very interested to see this Panorama as it is the second of that kind that I see and the other one is in my home town Pleven, Bulgaria. If not other, it is an amazing piece of art and it shows an important historic al moment. It's sad that it is the only one that survived in Poland. Buy tickets in advance, when we came to the desk it turned out that we could buy tickets for no earlier than the next day.

Note that this is a guided talk for the painting about 20 minutes. You need to book a few hours in advance, this place sells out each tour. The tour runs every 30 minutes and there is no other way to see the painting (the tour is worth it). This is an amazing painting. One of the most profound experiences I've seen. Highly, highly recommended -this is an art piece like nothing I've seen before and with an exceptionally high wow factor.

(Translated by Google) He tears the roofing paper off the roof. I was expecting a big picture. And I got a surprisingly realistic and gigantic diorama. It was often impossible to see where the painting ends and the decoration begins. For this an interesting narrative. It is generally a must see. (Original) Rwie papę z dachu. (Translated by Google) In the photo it is hard to see where the canvas is, and where is the 3D model. A beautiful work, a symbol that gave hope for independence during the years of occupation. The symbolism is interesting, but also the creation of the masterpiece itself and its fate until it became a permanent fixture in Wrocław. (Original) Na fotografii ciężko dostrzec gdzie jest płótno, a gdzie makieta 3D. Piękne dzieło, symbol który przez lata okupacji pozwolił żywić nadzieję na niepodległość. (Translated by Google) The building itself is very impressive inside, and of course "content". The piece of art itself is amazing and it is worth coming here and visiting the place. I was expecting a bit more since this is such a nice building but you just take some stairs to see the piece of art and that’s it. You stay there for 25 minutes approx and listen to a recorded audio in polish explaining the piece of art. I wish there could have been an option to have an audio guide at least in English. The prices to get in are a bit high from my perspective since it’s just to see this.

Nothing more wrong. 15 meters high and 120 meters long art With its 3 dimensional setting is amazing sight. I have been there twice lately and half an hour tour is always to short to me I could stay there and enjoy this enormous piece of art for much longer...and inhale historic insurrection battle between Poles and Russians near Raclawice.

An absolute must see when you are in Wroclaw. The scale and quality of the panorama is of course impressive, but it is matched by the purpose built rotunda and the physical landscape that merges seamlessly with the artwork. Tours are every half hour so you get 30 minutes in the rotunda and are guided by an audio description of the battle. Make sure you grab a free audio guide if you don't speak Polish.

Tolles Erlebnis. Dank Audioguide (umsonst) interessante Informationen. Garderobe umsonst. Absolut empfehlenswert

It is a great painting. However, I was mislead by the impression of it being animated something of the battle, so at the moment I was disappointed. Also the exhibition is in polish, if you want to know what they're saying, you have to ask the nice lady to give you translation device, which for whole 30 minutes you have to annoyingly hold like a phone to your ear....but in the end, it was beautiful.

The most exciting picture I've ever seen. You go around and watch on these 700m2. They give you only 30min, and I would say it's like a minute, not enough to understand it all and look at every detail. Me as a painter was impressed that it was painted only in 8 months

Breathtaking, arrived at perfect time for the tour. Cloakroom free of charge for coats and bags once you have a ticket. Enthralling. What can you say about something so massive it’s it’s own museum. The detail is superb. The ground blends into the painting extremely well giving a three dimensional feeling that causes one to lose oneself in it. This is definitely a must see. I won’t give away more than that- so if your in the neighborhood, make sure to pop in, you won’t regret it.

The realism of presenting historical facts in the picture perfectly harmonizes with the text read by the teacher, played from the tape. A thing worth recommending for parents with children as well as the elderly. Well lit, with a prepared scenery imitating what was presented in the picture. In the shop, materials and souvenirs about the panorama itself, as well as its creators and, above all, the battle from the times of the Kościuszko Uprising. Go ahead, Poland! Rzecz godna polecenia dla rodziców z dziećmi a także osób starszych. Dobrze oświetlone z przygotowaną scenografią imitującą to co zostało przedstawione na obrazie. (Translated by Google) A very nice historical place. Cancer has been trying to achieve a 3D effect for a long time and I must admit that it was even quite successful. Looking at some fragments of the picture, you can almost feel the fervor of the shoe, the dust rising from running horses, hear their neighing and the clang of weapons. An interesting description given by the speaker from the speakers complements and helps to understand the whole. I would recommend. (Original) Bardzo fajne, historyczne miejsce. Raka dawna próba uzyskania efektu 3D i muszę przyznać, że nawet całkiem udana. Ciekawy opis podawany przez lektora z głośników dopełnia i pomaga zrozumieć całość. Polecam.

Despite not understanding a word that was said, I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibition. The artwork speaks for itself. The foreground blends into the painting almost seamlessly and puts you in the centre of the battle. You get a 30 minute viewing, which felt like just enough time to take in the scenes and characters.

  • 5/5 Aliona D. 5 years ago on Google
There you can get an audioguide in the language you need, which makes the experience way more meaningful. You can get there every 30 minutes (that's how long you can enjoy the panorama and listen to the comments from the audioguide). Interesting panorama that lets you get to know the history of Poland a little better. Recommended!

The picture by itself is great and fantastic to see but audio presentation is from old communist era. Although I have seen better even in communist Vietnam. You cannot follow the story even if you are grow up an know the history. They could use at least some light pointers to show different people in the painting. So much potential but the results disappointing.

Many years ago, my Danish Trade Union, with many members of a Polish ancestry, organized a bustrip during a long weekend from Denmark, and during that we also visited The Panorama. I think the building was rather newly built by then and I was impressed that they had earphones with a Danish sound/speak, so that we could walk round and be informed about what was to be seen. And I still remember the actual frontal area being met by the painting, so it was hardly to see where the painting took over!!! I was very impressed then and would most likely still be, if I came round again, but as now 73/74, I doubt it will happen.

Interested place to visit. However not very organized. The place is numbered on the floor and the visit doesnt follow this sequence making it difficult to understand what is being described. The balcony is very low and it is hard to stand for 30 minutes not leaning to anything, specially after a full day of visiting the city. After the narrator finishes the story you are rushed outside of the building, when you would expect to stay at least more 10 minutes to admire the painting.

Interesting place, amazing huge picture and story, but a bit too long story, if you are not passionate about history, you might get lost after 10 minutes or so.... Maybe they could show a bit the restauration process or something else to make it more attractive. Lots of kinds came to visit with schools and they seems to be bored very fans and they become noisy, constantly disturbing you from the story. Four stars for this unique beautiful picture, it is worthy to see it.

I was really sceptical about visiting this place. Another patriotic memorial... Now I think differently. It is a place well worth visiting. The way the light operates, how the contours of the painting blend with surroundongs make you feel like being outdoors, almost in the middle of the battle. I loved most the leafless tree-it looked so real.

I am not a war watching sort of person, this is an art experience above anything else. I found this truly wonderful and personally don't think it should be missed. I figure you know your own kids well enough, though most kids should be okay with this relatively short tour. As this is popular don't rock up and expect to just get in. I would suggest booking online is essential. Finally to make the whole experience more pleasant here are some tips - bring your water - ensure your phone is turned to mute. - toilets are clean, get there early and go. - Language kit's should be planned for. - Grab a seat while waiting as limited seats - Don't worry about the long queue stay seated and be last.

Fantastic experience, the audio guide really helps with the details, the panorama is super impressive! Highly recommend! The ticket allows you then to visit 3 other museums in Wroclaw

Very nice piece of art and history. Two things to know. 1) you need to book in advance. Went there thinking we could get in but actually could only book for later in the afternoon 2) it was not clear to us for the first 5 minutes, there are audio guides at the center. Otherwise the whole presentation is in Polish of course ;)

Definitely a must see attraction in Wrocław. Make sure you get an audio guide (at the top of the stairs) if you don’t speak Polish. The narration explains the painting in detail.

Monumental painting and great exhibition. Price is quite high, but you can visit a two nearby museums on the same ticket. Highly recommended.

Must see place when visiting Wroclaw, we have booked tickets in advance and one of us was unable to visit, there were no issues with returning one of the tickets. Next to the impressive painting there is another small area where history of the painting is explained.

One of, if not the coolest painting I have ever seen. The scale of the masterwork is hard to grasp without seeing it in person, 8 metres tall and the circumference of a large rotunda specially built to house it, but nothing you can read about it really readies you for the experience. Absolute must-see, with audio guides available in many major world languages so you can follow along the brilliant audio tour of the painting, getting into the details of the battle scene and the history of the setting.

Very interesting and beautiful - many languages available for the presentation. The history of how Poland protected this gem from destruction during WWII was fascinating.

Unique painting of 360 degrees that you can not miss! A piece of the history of Poland can be felt with a big amount of realism, I really recommend this place!

Highly recommended. There are viewings every half hour, with narration in polish. There are audio guides that provide translation of the narration in English and a bunch of languages.

Beautiful painting depicting Battle of Racławice, during the Kościuszko Uprising. The ticket is little expensive but allows you to visit additional museums entries. Ticket entitles its holder to a free admission to the permanent exhibitions in the National Museum in Wrocław, the Ethnographic Museum, and the Four Domes Pavilion, during the 3 months following the date of viewing the Panorama printed on the ticket.

Unusual to hear and see a multi sensory display. The historical significance is amazing and the skill of the artists was brilliant. You were given an auditory guide in your chosen language. A welcome addition to a visitor.

Upon first inspection I thought the price was going to be a little too high for the outcome, but once inside I realized that was not the case. The painting and the way it blends into “real-life” is quite incredible. The story behind it was actually my favorite part and I highly recommend acquiring the audio guide in your language to aid in your understanding. I can’t imagine the work that went into this absolute masterpiece, especially given it was created in the 1800’s. An absolute must see in Wroclaw.

One of the most impressive sites in Wroclaw and there is a whole of a lot to see in this gorgeous city. The painting of the battle between Russian and Polish forces is absolutely beautiful. Even more interesting is the history of the painting and how it was suppressed by the Polish communist regime for many years. I would definitely recommend ordering your tickets online or coming in 2 hours prior to your intended visit time to purchase timed tickets in advance. The ticket also allows a visit to a gallery nearby and two other museums. Totally worth the trip.

I recommend for a visit. The ticket is not cheap, but with this ticket you can also visit the folk museum nearby. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the panorama for the first time, it really is a work of art.

I’m taking some friends on a tour of Poland and the Panorama has been one of their favorite attractions so far. The way that it’s staged along with the audio history of it’s creation and examination of each section of the work is very effective. Audio guides in several languages are available for free. This was my fourth time seeing the Panorama and I thoroughly enjoyed it (again)!

I was told about this painting that it was 140 meters long and nothing else.. but what a surprise I got. This beautiful painting and history were stunning. This painting is made like 3D... wow They got the telling in many languages also in Danish, which was good to get all the history right 🤩 You can book an appointment and save time. It takes 30 minutes and starts every 30 minutes. It is a must-see while visiting Wroclaw

Incredible experience. I am not a history buff but it was very interesting the way it has been built in the round. I had an English audio system. Highly recommend. I bought a ticket on the day but I think during peak season you would struggle.

What an amazing experience! The Panorama was epic and really put you on the space of the battle. Such an interesting and detailed piece of art that is so under appreciated in the world. Definitely worth a visit to see Wroclaw.

There are 2 exhibitions, the painting and a multimedia presentation. You can listen to the commentary on the painting in several languages but the multimedia is only in Polish. This is really annoying as we think the information in it is probably far more interesting than the painting. We felt a bit short changed!

absolutely impressive, amazing artists and staging, immerse so well into the painting in every angle you’d think it’s part of the painting from far, beautiful piece of work

Very interesting piece of history, it's worth the 10-15 minute walk from the center of Wrocław to go and experience the 360° live panorama with amazing sound system making it insanely realistic. The history behind this is very facinating and I definitely recommend researching into the creation of this museum as it's not as straight forward as you would expect. It's good for all age groups, definitely recommend if you're visiting Wrocław.
