The railway bridge in Zgorzelec was commissioned in 1847. It was built in record time - in just 3 years. It has 35 spans and is 448 meters long (some sources say 475 meters). Local granite was used for construction. The appearance of the bridge refers to Roman stone bridges. Its designer was Gustav Kießler. On May 7, 1945, the German army blew up part of the bridge. It was rebuilt in 1954. The railway bridge in Zgorzelec is one of the four longest stone bridges in Poland and the longest stone bridge in Germany.

Sehr schöner Ausblick. Paar Meter weiter ist dann auch gleich die Obermühle. (Translated by Google) Very nice view. A few meters further is the Obermühle.

Lovely walks under the bridge. It looks great. Absolute silence and peaceful atmosphere of the park under the bridge makes me want to come back for another pleasant walk.
