One of the most famous Buddhist temples in China and the largest temple in Hangzhou. The temple was built more than 1600 years ago. Just realized that the temple's name can be translated as the Temple of the Soul's Retreat; which is so poetic. The grounds are huge and one can easily spend hours touring the temple.

Beautiful place to visit. Unfortunately, there is almost nothing in English. So, for tourists without a guide, a lot of information is missed. However it worth the visit anyway. Expect to spend at least 3 or 4 hours in this visit.

Incredibly beautiful and spiritual Buddhist temple from the year 326. So many amazing things to see, statues over 100 feet tall, sculptures in the sides of mountains, beautiful architecture and more. You can easily spend a whole day at the temple, be prepared to walk a lot of steps. There are many meal and snack options here as well. Definitely recommend visiting for truly breathtaking views you’ll remember for a lifetime.

(Translated by Google) I had local people take me on a business trip, but I thought it was wonderful. You will be overwhelmed by the number of Buddha statues carved on the rocky mountain. The height of the technician is enormous if you think that it is cut out of stone, not wood. In the past, it was said that the temple was protected by local students when the temple was baked. Please come by all means.

A must-visit place if you travel to Hangzhou. It's hard to tell other people how you feel about a pagoda, a soul visit not a travel one. I treasured the moment of visiting Lingyin pagoda

One of the oldest Buddhist temples in China. The extensive grounds and pavilions, built over centuries, offer the opportunity for days of exploration. We only had half a day, which wasn't enough for even a taste of this place. My only disappointment was arriving by bus into a plaza with KFC, Starbucks, 7/11 and numerous Chinese fast food chains. I know there are thousands of tourists every year and people gotta eat, but a strip mall really doesn't set the stage for me...hence 4-stars instead of 5.

Not to be missed if you are in Hangzhou. There are several temples buildings with different themes or purposes. The hall with 500 monks was fascinating, you could spend hours in that building looking at the myriads of emotion, activity, and expression captured in each sculpture. I have never seen anything quite like it.

(Translated by Google) More than a temple, Lingyin is a monastery comprising several buildings at the foot of Mount Beigaofeng, northwest of West Lake, and is one of the top ten in the Zen sect of Chinese Buddhism. It was founded in 326 by a monk from India. Her Majesty's Hall has three floors 30 meters high, where the statue of Sakyamuni made of sandalwood, 20 meters high, is sanctified. On the wall behind the statue are 150 Buddha sculptures with very vivid gestures. Behind this room there are rooms for medicine, sutra conservation and punishment of evil. In the eastern part of the temple there is a spectacular hall, where 500 bronze sculptures of Buddhist saints are lined up. Lingyin Temple (灵隐寺) in Hangzhuo is definitely a place to visit for those who are interested in Buddhist sculptures that were craved out from the hill rocks more than 1,000 years ago and the hall of the famous Master Jigong (济公活佛) for his wild and eccentric behavior and didn't follow Buddhist monastic rules by consuming alcohol and meat. There will be a lot of walking and steps to climb, so go in a pair of comfortable shoes. To go by the metro, can take Line 10 and Exit A, and there is a direct bus that could fetch you directly to the temple. Payment is best with Alipay (公交车) in Hangzhuo, of course 😁

45 RMB gets you access to the Temple with its various buildings, caves, and surrounding scenery. Could easily spend an entire morning or afternoon here. Expensive tea and a definite tourist trap it is, but the history and tranquility can be appreciated for quite some time. Can be crowded but so can any place on a weekend.

An ancient temple worth a visit in Hangzhou, very close to the famous West Lake. Parking is costly, 55 yuan for 3 and a half hours. Try to come very early or very late to avoid the crowd, I mean the crowd in China.

Very crowded temple with bad traffic on the way. You will be charged twice to get into the temple. If you are not a believer, you can just pay a 45 RMB entrance fee and enjoy the beautiful creek and hills in there.

(Translated by Google) The Zen temple where the sightseeing bus I boarded from the station front of Antishu headed is an old temple that is said to be ten temples in China, and many Chinese people drive Buddha by bus or car at temples like Enryakuji on Mt. Climb in a line to the temple where the temple is enshrined and the adjacent temple. Actually, the female college student who was present on this bus kept up with me until the end, so I was able to visit all the Buddhas. She was very religious and always had her head on the ground in front of the shrine. Perhaps because of that, my mother, who was very religious that night, came out in a dream. This is also true for my companion, who unknowingly put them on top of her. It is a regret that the e-mail address she entered was an error and I could not thank you. The fried chicken and sandwich I had at KFC at the station when I parted was my only merit. The last few years have been in China during the National Day. The hotel turmoil in Chongqing, the first trip to China, was also due to the Guojie period. Domestic flight security in Chongqing was unusual at the time. Perhaps it was after the incident, and if an incident occurs in the Uighur district, it will be reflected in the security, so peace is good.
