Such a beautiful place! Highly recommended if you visit Shanghai. 2 hours by bus escaped from busy city to this ancient town. Lots of local food and places for strolling. You can take boat to see the view as well (6 people/boat = 120 rmb)

Quite pretty water town, went in the morning. I think night time it will be great as well. A few places to explore indoor as well like mansion, exhibition, calligraphy around which you can buy the ticket bundle at the entrance or if you want individual tickets the spot is also do-able. A little commercial since its tourist spots as well. A boat tour to go cross the river to another side of the bank is a good experience as well.

Around 1 hour from Shanghai city centre you can see the ancient lifestyle. The market is so local and tradition. The atmosphere is so real and great. Nice moment when walk around. Nice food here too.

Came here during a weekday, so a good chunk of stores were closed at the time. It's a gorgeous place though it is certainly gentrified and filled with somewhat irrelevant touristy shops. Though I'd still recommend to pay a visit here. You can take the train which is quite time consuming. I've done it with express bus from People's Square for ~7 RMB one way, as well as private taxi (Didi) for ~100 RMB.

Beautiful old town, you can take one day trip from Shanghai. Delicious local food with not expensive. Take a boat seeing around is impressive.

The ancient city is a sight to behold, however the place is way too crowded to fully enjoy yourself or take pictures without photo bombs

Interesting and full of contrast to Shanghai. However so much people and mercantile focus. Mostly street food with more or less equal offering.

😐 Perfect place if you are up for something a little different. The overall park/resort is very large. I only went through the military park. This is also where many of the high school kids in the Shanghai area get part of their military indoctrination. A lot of old military equipment. A replica...
