Beautiful ancient water town. Ride a boat for a relaxing and scenic ride. Many shops along the alley and many inns too for staying overnight. Quite expensive to eat at the cafe there.

It’s called “Venice of the east”!! It’s really one of the amazing place on the planet earth, will get to see traditional and ancient villages alongside the river canals. One who visits shanghai this is a must place to get around, there are lot of tourists organiser who offer package trip to this place, but they will not allow you to enjoy the place for a long time. I would recommend to take some private buses and go individually to spend more time at this place. On the other hand communicating is the biggest problem, most of the people do not speak anything other than Mandarin, nevertheless Microsoft translator or other Apps will help you a lot!

This place us under a lot of maintenance work at the moment and really not the best place to visit at presence. The show at night was good but would cost extra.

I believe this town is preserved for its heritage and rich history. Lots of walking so do wear a good pair of walking shoes.

Beautiful look into the past and historic architecture! Can be crowded and there are a lot of touristy shops, but worth a visit nonetheless.

I went here at nighttime of weekday, and somehow it was quite crowded. Despite that, Zhouzhuang with its beautiful lamp was so calming. There are so many store to buy souvenir, many spots to take beautiful photos and scenery to enjoy. Love it.

Similar to most water towns. Quiet and scenic, not much shopping, village restaurant abundant. Temple was closed. Admission rmb 100 per adult.

Zhouzhuan is a very scenic place. It is riched in culture and many nice eating stalls and restaurants. The main front gate is quite far to walk from the entrance to Zhouzhan. There are tricycles to bring you to the entrance at a fee. Do check the price for a single ride. Alternatively, if you have a car and a driver, you can buy the entrance ticket at the front gate and ask the driver to send you to the side entrance, which is only 5 mins to walk into the ticket check-in station of Zhouzhuan.

Zhouzhuang is water village, a good and relaxing place to visit. Taking a slow boat ride along the canal is highly recommended. They can even sing beautiful traditional Chinese songs as you go thru the canal (don't forget to tip them for the songs).
