My favourite place in Suzhou. The day I went is very cooking so there is wind. Strolling down the river is calm and peaceful. There are a lot of street food as well. I suggest you can get a drink and sit beside the river. The river is not exactly that clean like the photo. The day crowd is more than the night. Highly recommend! Basically in Suzhou everywhere is walkable distance. You need a good pair of shoes because the tiles on the floor is very uneven.

Beautiful walking street along a very picturesque river in the middle of Suzhou. Although there are no shortage of shops along the street, considering how many people pass through and how beautiful it is, I was shocked how authentic it felt and how few street vendors there were. Although there were a fair amount of people there, it didn't feel overcrowded and it didn't detract from what was an enjoyable stroll with many photo opportunities. Highly recommend if you go to Suzhou

Not very commercial walking street with traditional buildings and modern stores with variant staff. Some very nice coffee shops could be found between the tiny lanes. It is worth to explore. One day pass is available and applicable for all bus.

Great little walk. Good to get away from the busy streets. Old buildings. Lots of snacks to eat. Lots of visitors on the weekend.

Suzhou is mainly visited by tourists from China. Visitors from other parts of the world are rarely seen. It's such a shame. The city is simply beautiful. Photos of this river (channel, as a matter of fact) is just a small sample of what you can see and experience here. An unforgettable experience! Now, the gardens. Gardens here are even better.

Great place to take beautiful photos of the water canals and old boats, and to try all kinds of street food. Beware of the crowds of crazy chinese tourists with selfie sticks.

I personally like it very much. It's a more quiet place compared to the Humble Administration Garden and Shan Tang Old Street. Comprised of interesting shops.
