Great tower to climb (nice view over old city), even for kids. I walked up with my 5 years old son, i made him believe it was the Tower of "Peacock", the bad guy in Kung Fu Panda 2. :-) Suprisingly there's also a small park and some water around.

Nice place, very touristic, glad I visited in a period where the flux of people was very low. Nice trick, the ticket (40 cny) gives you an expandable bonus of 40 cny at the tea house. Don't know if it was a occasional thing or not, but wort to try!

Beautiful temple complex with peaceful waterways weaving their way throughout. Not over crowded, it can be a serene and quiet place for personal reflection. Lush garden scapes that are littered with fabulous examples of ocean rock statues which stand almost as sentinels around. You could easily spend a full day here and not see everything.

The Tower is very nice, and the scenic area in which it can be found is large, beautiful, and not overly crowded. There is a good variety of scenery here, between the large tower, sizeable pagodas, a large lake/pond, a waterfall, numerous gardens, etc. Plenty of good photo opportunities, plenty of things to walk around and see, or if you're just in the mood for some relaxation, plenty of quiet places to unwind. Location isn't ideal as it is pretty far removed from the other main sights of downtown Suzhou, but it is maybe a 1km walk from the nearest metro stop so it really isn't too inconvenient. Either way, this place is absolutely worth the price of admission and I would recommend seeing it if you're in Suzhou for more than one day

Quite a nice place to walk around. Apparently the remains of the old wall. Best to have a tour otherwise most of the places look alien without context.

Usually not crowded, as it is not rated as highly as the other traditional gardens in Suzhou. However, it is a lot more calm and relaxing to walk through the grounds. Quite a large area, with well rebuilt architecture.
