Outstanding, for only being 8 years old. The curators did an amazing (investment) job building a collection which covers many mature plants. We visited in December and this garden was worth every minute. Captivating landscapes worked outdoors, the greenhouses were brilliant. This well curated garden is going to become better every season. Absolute highlight. Kids friendly with lots of playgrounds. Can't imagine how busy this would be in full bloom, which will likely have something every season. Yay!

A Smart Botanical Garden having all sorts of facilities like research, recreations, different events all the year rounds, most important its education activities for students. For me the most attractive place was view from the top of chensan hill .

This amazing botanical garden was built in 2010 before the Shanghai expo close to Happy Valley amusement park. Located quite far away from the city center (around 50 minutes by subway, line 9, metro station Dongjing, then taxi) it's a wonderful place, especially on spring. Huge outdoor venue with waterfalls, gardens and some pavilions with thousands of different plants from around the world. I suggest to spend a whole day here.

This is an amazing park. Created in 2010 for the expo, suggest to come here to see he Sakura: cherry blossoms. Probably is going to be better in 2 years when the three will be more big. Anyway, a very nice rock garden is already available and two huge dome, pavilion of tropical and succulent plants (cactuses) it worth the visit. Be sure to exit through Exit 1 because the others doesn't have taxies.

It's a bit far away from the downtown and there are very limited buses from subway station to the botanic park. Despite the inconvenient traffic, the park itself is large and beautiful. It could be better if the plants were maintained better.

Good place to visit even in winter. Nice walks and the climb up the hill to the tower is worth the effort. There are three glasshouses with different plant themes for each. Near to the glasshouses there are some eateries but these are fairly basic.
