Wuzhen is a peaceful and beautiful ancient water town. Day and night view brings a different vibe and atmosphere. Lots of delicious local delicacies. A cozy place to spend a few days. Absolutely fabulous to sleep in the town hotel and wake up early to take a walk around town when there are less people. The cats in town are cute and friendly. Photos taken Spring 2019.

If you're visiting Shanghai, a trip to WuZhen is a must. This hidden gem, located just an hour's drive away, will captivate all your senses. From the meticulously preserved architecture to the tranquil waterways and warm hospitality, WuZhen offers an enchanting experience like no other. I highly recommend staying overnight to fully immerse yourself in the magical light shows at night and bask in the serene tranquility at dawn. Don't miss out on this extraordinary place!

WuZhen We can say that :magnificent, spectacular, epic, fantastic, grand, glamorous, gorgeous, picturesque and so on. A long road appears right through the shadowy buildings leading me to an unknown place. and then~~ Our immediate scenery is so beautiful. It's really an amazing view.

A fantastic place to visit. We found parts of it were very very busy but it was easy to get off the main path of the river and follow quieter paths that were still beside the water and over the lovely bridges that crisscross the water. There are lots of places to eat and to buy souvenirs. Most tourists visiting seemed to be Chinese and there were less westerners around but the cafes we went to had English on the menu so we managed well. We took a boat ride up the river which was so peaceful and relaxing, we took a second boat ride after dark which was really pretty with all the lights. We stayed overnight in one of the hotels within the 'park' and it was wonderful and luxuriant (Chinese relatives had paid for us to stay there, I hate to think what it cost!). Really worth a visit if you are in that part of China.

This scenic area in Zhejiang is at two side along the canal. It is photo scenic walking along the canal. Lots of lovely, beautiful chinese ancient stone bridge across the canal。In the canal you see wooden small boats travelling, Lots of visitors strolling along the two side of the canal, happily cheering at the passengers in the boats, it is extremely awesome, impressive and also romantic scenery you ever seen. If you walk along the small ancient street, you see lots of exhibition, and you can visit the famous blue printed cloth factory, and other ancient houses, it's just fantastic !! You better to visit the water ancient town to experience it yourself.

Wuzhen Water Town, lying in the northern part of Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province, is a typical ancient town in southern China. It is about 80 kilometers (50 miles) from both Hangzhou and Suzhou, and 140 kilometers (87 miles) from Shanghai.

It’s a lovely ancient area/district on which water villages were built on canals/streams coming off of the great Yangtze River. Several of these villages are still inhabited today. The houses are remarkably preserved. Neighborhoods are connected by series of foot bridges, and of course by boats on the canals. What’s notable are the very ornate carvings on walls and/or doorways of homes. On the West side of Wuzhen are historic museums. Among these are the Bed Museum, which indeed exhibit beds during the Ming (1300s-mid 1600s) and the succeeding Qing (1600s-early 1900s) Dynasties to the modern era. There’s also the Clothing, Wood Carving, Coin and Fabric museums. The whole area is very green, lush vegetation with very fertile lands. A walk through the cobblestones gives a glimpse of what neighborhoods might have looked like. Luncheon, a very bountiful one, capped this visit🤩🤩🤩. … Thanks to the tour guide who arranged everything 👏👏👏😎😎😎
