(Translated by Google) The Leifeng Pagoda was originally called the Princess Tower, and the literature and folk also known as the Huangfei Tower, the Princess Tower, and the Yellow Pita. Above the Leifeng in front of Jingci Temple, it echoes the north-south confrontation with the Baotou Pagoda on Baoshi Mountain on the north bank. The original tower collapsed in 1924, leaving only the site, and the new tower was rebuilt on the original site in 2002. When the setting sun goes down, the afterglow reflects on Leifeng Tower to form the famous Leifeng evening landscape, which is one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake.

This Zoo is the most disgusting zoo I have seen in my life. The animals all look sick and not well taken care of. Forget this place and go check out Hangzhou's Safari Park. Much nicer and better conditions.

Good views over the lake from the top. Take the lift inside the pagoda or walk up. Getting to the bottom of the pagoda you may take stairs or escalator. The pagoda itself is modern built on ruins which can be looked at as well. All is surrounded by some park. Entrance fee for all together CNY 40.

A legendary pagoda from one of the famous Chinese Legend, White Snack Legend (白蛇传). The new building is really beautiful and solid than the old one.The original one has collapsed in 1924. They rebuild it at 2002 ,modern building with escalator outside and lift inside the building. You still can see the debris from the previous building. The most fascinating is woods crafted beautifully with the story of white snake legend. It is crafted very detail, the figure, trees, clouds looks alive. Really softisticated hand carving. Absolutely a must visit place in Xihu.

(Translated by Google) Nice zoo, located in the forest. Valieres of different types. (Open, under a canopy) There is an opportunity to purchase water and various small items. According to the schedule, you can visit: 1.show gymnasts (children) 2. Watch a fur seal performance - it's free. Photos can be taken for an additional fee. Unfortunately, on our visit, the pandas were in a small enclosed room, where they were obviously hot ... so we got little impression from them (very sorry) (Original)

Who knew there was a shrine was built 1,100 years ago for a woman’s “lock of hair”?. Search no further….. But the pagoda you see (and visit) is a structure build in 2002. Ruins from the original shrine are accessible under the Pagoda, but is really limited to a few piles of ricks and a couple brick pillars. Since it’s newly constructed, the main reason to visit the Pagoda is to get a view of West Lake. It has the best view of the lake (when there is little smog) and has the second best view of the Hangzhou City-scape (second to the City God Pavilion visible to the east of the Pagoda. Steps are manageable, after an available escalator ride up the hill. Take the opportunity to walk down via the paths on the north side (the lake side). The great view earns this location 4-stars from an otherwise 3-start perfectly-nice 17 year old building.

Sick animals, depressed, sad, poorly treated, dirty, bear had his mouth foamed, the monkey had his eye buckled and no fur, the cages are tiny for the tiger, the leopard and they walk from side to side, totally neurotic, the wolf had thin legs and a look of despair, a place of horror and sadness. Without any respect to animals! China has wonderful places, but definitely this zoo is a shame!! Much sadness...

Leifeng Pagoda, also known as "Huang Fei Pagoda", is located on the Leifeng Peak of Xizhao Mountain on the south bank of West Lake. Opposite it is Jingci Temple (Nanping Evening Bell) and Prince's Bay Park. It is a popular tourist area in Hangzhou. The famous "Leifeng Pagoda sunset" is one of the ten scenic spots in Hangzhou. However, the best place to watch the sunset at Leifeng Pagoda is not in the scenic area. The more recommended viewing spot is the nearby Long Bridge. The sunset shines on the tower like the light of Buddha. very beautiful. Many people's "Leifeng Pagoda complex" comes from the legend of the White Snake. Although the old tower collapsed in 1924, the current Leifeng Pagoda was newly built on the original tower base. It not only has elevators, but also It's air-conditioned and looks more like a museum. Of course, there's no white lady. But now that it’s here, there’s no reason not to check it out. Leifeng Pagoda itself is the biggest attraction of the entire scenic spot. The newly built Leifeng Pagoda has 5 floors from the base up. After checking in, take the elevator (of course you can also climb the stairs next to it) to the base of the tower. Here you can see the ruins of the tower. The broken base of the old tower surrounded by glass, with coins all over the floor, is also a scene from Leifeng Pagoda. There are also some cultural relics unearthed from the underground palace on this floor, among which an Ashoka Pagoda is the most exquisite. Further up, we come to the bottom floor of the tower. On display on this floor is the large-scale Dongyang wood carving mural "The Legend of the White Snake", which is very detailed. The official climb to the tower begins when you continue up from here. There are walking stairs and escalators, and you need to queue up most of the time. Each floor of the tower displays some poems and murals, and most people climb the tower to see the scenery. The view from the height of Leifeng Pagoda is very good. Not only can you see the panoramic view of West Lake, but you can also overlook the panoramic view of Jingci Temple opposite. Especially at night, the lights along the West Lake outline the entire West Lake, and the scenery is beautiful. In addition to Leifeng Pagoda, there are also small attractions in the scenic area such as Sunset Pavilion, Miaoyin Terrace, and Release Pond. Among them, there is a huge rockery stone in the release pool in front of the pagoda, which is covered with released tortoises; in the Buddha Relic Hall, you can see the relics of the Buddha's snail hair. After coming down from the tower, you can continue to take a look around the scenic area.

(Translated by Google) Passed twice, but did not go in. Leifeng Tower is located on Leifeng Mountain, Xizhao Mountain, south bank of Xihu Scenic Area, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It was first built in 977 AD. It was built by Wu Yuezhong and Wang Qianhong as a tribute to the Buddha. In the Chinese folktale "White Snake Biography", the French monk swindled Xu Xian to Jinshan, and the white lady was flooded with Jinshan to save Xuxian, and was taken under the Leifeng Pagoda by Fahai Town. The old Leifeng Pagoda collapsed in 1924 and was rebuilt. The newly built Leifeng Pagoda was China's first colorful bronze pagoda.

Leifeng Pagoda is a beautiful building, but it's not much history as this is just a rebuild. You can enjoy the best view of West Lake here, as this building is tall enough to have the over view of this area. And they have good accessibility facilities, everyone can easily reach the top with lift. You still can see the ruin of the original building in the basement

3 stars sounds harsh, but I guess thats because basically it's a fake for the tourist trade. Worth a visit to see "that" side of China. And it IS a spectacular location and the views are good. I went in 2008 at Chinese New Year. Maintenance guys working all the time - it seems health & safety wasn't really on the agenda - people going over the edge of an external balcony with a bit of rope tied around their middle and tied off to almost nothing at all! The ruins are part of an ancient temple, and as another reviewer has said they are behind glass. BUT the fakeness was still there. Some constructions behind the glass clearly were cast concrete and totally fake. You could offer buddhist prayers at some locations, but again, it's all for the tourists who buy the candles. And of course, we did, and enjoyed our visit and the insights it gave us.

The Leifeng Pagoda in Hangzhou is a mesmerizing testament to both ancient history and modern marvels. This iconic structure, reconstructed in 2002, rises majestically on the shores of the West Lake, its silhouette gracing the skyline with elegance. The pagoda's architectural grandeur, adorned with intricate carvings and vibrant paintings, reflects the rich cultural tapestry of China. Ascending the pagoda unveils panoramic views of Hangzhou's enchanting landscapes, creating an immersive experience for visitors. The surrounding gardens add to the allure, providing a serene environment for contemplation. The pagoda's historical significance, intertwined with legends dating back to the Tang Dynasty, adds a layer of mystique to the visit. The innovative use of technology is another highlight, as the pagoda houses a fascinating underground museum that showcases relics and artifacts, offering a comprehensive journey through time. The combination of tradition and modernity makes the Leifeng Pagoda a multifaceted attraction, appealing to history enthusiasts, art lovers, and those seeking a harmonious blend of cultural richness and contemporary exploration. Overall, the Leifeng Pagoda is not merely a structure but a living testament to China's cultural heritage, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of its architecture, legends, and the picturesque surroundings of Hangzhou's West Lake.

Leifeng Pagoda captivates with its rich history and panoramic views of West Lake in Hangzhou, China. The pagoda's graceful architecture, coupled with the surrounding natural beauty, creates a serene atmosphere. However, the reconstructed nature of the tower diminishes its authenticity. Nonetheless, it remains a compelling cultural and scenic destination.

The top of the pagoda offers the best view onto West Lake, in my opinion. It's easy of access with all the escalators outside and the elevators inside the building. The inside itself is not that interesting, being of more recent construction; the ruins of the original structure are under a glass display. There are also many paths outside leading to small pavilions, steles, rocks with inscriptions, etc.

I can never afford to visit such an amazing piece of history a story about an immortal Snake falling in love with a mortal man I don't do romances. As a person of the supernatural YES I think it's actually real but modern society can hide and conceal what has happened in the past. If you are a folklorist you would definitely love this story. There's some interesting places as well other than this that has tides to the Legend of the White Snake. I think the movie Green Snake has location Easter eggs in it where the Legend is inspired other than Leifeng Pagoda. It would be cool to afford it one day maybe even in the next life some where hello to Bai Suzhen if she is real.

(Translated by Google) Convenient transportation Tickets are very cheap, with a total ticket of 20, plus 30 tickets for the children's park on the side. The facilities are generally different from those of ten years ago. There are very few animal species. Probably only the small basin friends will be happy to come... Although this is a recently reconstructed building, nowhere else can you get a better view of the West Lake. Just be sure the weather is clear!

The upper floors include the "Legend of the White Snake" is shown in beautiful wood carvings. (sedamo: LR-PR-UQ-EM) (Original) Wundervolle Aussicht über den Westsee und die Stadtsilhouette. Nice place to visit for a short and quick outing. The place not only has ancient artefacts but also contains Chinese heritage. The most beautiful part is the surrounding view from the top deck of the pagoda. One can see the entire Xi Hu from the top. The ticket is also very cheap, once you have a student card, you can get a 50% discount as well.
