I went on the Dolomites Trip in July 2021 and it was more than I could have asked for, I’ll forever be thankful for this experience. Well the Dolomites themselves are breathtaking, I could have not asked for a better planned and executed trip. Dimitris is a one of a kind all star guide who kept me safe and entertained the entire trip. I would 10/10 recommend. If you’re on the fence, do it, you won’t regret it!!

Amazing week spent with Dimitris of Tripin exploring mainland Greece in mid-November 2021 for a group of 3 adults. From the moment of pick-up to final drop-off, we were very well taken care of. The time spent together felt more like a trip with an old friend than a tour with a guide. Dimitris is very professional, personable, sociable, laid back and easygoing. Our tour was private and customized with a good mix of archeological sites and hiking. Highlights: Meteora, Papingo, and Vikos Gorge. He accommodated to what we wanted to do taking into consideration our (short) time frame, physical status (we had just completed the Athens marathon), interests, and budget. Dimitris had worked several years with REI as one of their top guides. Having been on a couple of international REI Adventures prior to this trip, I can honestly say Tripin's level of service is very similar (aka top notch!). All you need to do is show up with an open mind and hungry belly! I'm a foodie and the meal options did not disappoint at all. We ate family style and let Dimitris order for us. If you're a picky eater or have allergies/sensitivities, make sure to discuss that ahead of time when booking/planning your adventure so expectations are set. Other than that, be prepared to have some of the most memorable hikes of your life...I surely did!!! I look forward to seeing other parts of Greece with Dimitris (and Tripin) in the future. :)

My trip exceeded all expectations! It was a phenomenal group trip exploring Athens, Naxos, and Santorini led by Tripin Adventures. I was invited to take a trip to Greece, with a friend. She knew our guide, Anna Zika, from a previous trip through Rei. Anna was named a top guide through her Rei adventures, which is a big deal! We had the best time! Hiking just enough, in beautiful old ruins. The scenery, food and company was outstanding. My recent trip to the Peloponnese and Zagori was beyond amazing. Tripin exceeded every expectation I had for a well organized and supported trip. Dimitris, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable in the history, culture, and environment of Greece. In the Peloponnese, we explored marvelous hiking trails in diverse areas while learning about the history and the roles the different cities played in history. Kayaking around Nafplio gave an inspiring perspective of the historical sieges of the fortifications of that city. Somehow we timed it perfectly, adding in a performance at the ancient theater at Epidarus. For people who enjoy hiking and nature, Zagori is a “must do” in Greece. The mountains, valleys, and gorges were breathtaking and Dimitris knows them like his own back yard. He was able to adapt planned hikes to weather and provide alternatives for the different skill levels in our group. I don’t think there is a foot of that area that isn’t scenic and Dimitris showed us that largely unrecognized beauty in his country. Highly recommend Tripin for your next adventure.

I did a group trip to Greece last fall and Dimitris was my guide for a week. It was absolutely incredible. He took us to amazing sites, hikes, and restaurants. He planned the details of the trip including where to stay, transportation and food. At restaurants, I loved that he would order multiple dishes and as a group we could try some of everything and get a taste of Greece. He made sure everyone was taken care of. I experienced popular attractions but also got the most amazing local and cultural experiences. We went to places and tried food that I never would have known to do on my own. Dimitris has so many connections and knows the best local places to go. He is very knowledgeable about the culture and food. He is such an amazing guide. This was the best possible way to experience Greece. Highly highly recommend.

I had an amazing adventure in Greece. This was my first hiking experience with a group and the entire trip was a blast. Dimitris, our guide was knowledgeable, attentive and an outright professional. The sites were breathtaking and the food was delicious. I love family style meals and the fellowship was great. I also enjoyed the whitewater rafting. If you are considering this trip, don't hesitate. You will not be disappointed.

It's very hard to pick just one favorite. The theater was such a wonderful surprise. All the different views were spectacular. Dimetrius our guide knew so much history and places. He supported everyone. Found different experiences when the hike was a little to much for me. Then there was the food. Everyday something new and delicious. 10 stars on this 5 star review! The best!

Dimitris is hands down the best tour guide I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. I recently did a group trip in Greece that started in Athens and went up to Meteora and the Zagorsky region. It was a life-changing experience and Dimitris made it incredibly personable, unique, and fun. From ordering all the most amazing food for our family-style dinners, to bringing us on the best hikes/vantage points away from tourists, to teaching us about the history of the places we visited, he makes sure the trip is full and fulfilling. Dimitris loves his homeland and you can feel it in how he leads, it helped my group really connect with Greece and an impactful way and one that is deeper than just a tourist trip, you really get to see the real Greece! He’s an amazing person and I would recommend any trip he guides and full-heartedly recommend Tripin Adventures for any needs you have abroad and traveling to anywhere in Greece.

I recently did the “Natural Wonders” trek in Greece. We explored mainland Greece and little villages most people don’t get to see. The food was maybe the best of any country and trip ever. Company was even better. However, the best part was much of the planning was catered to me as the traveler, with many options and always a plan ahead. I never had to think. I was able to just enjoy and roll with the day, the right decisions were always made. Some of the best sunset locations I’ve hiked to in my life. This was my second trip with tripin and I’ll absolutely be continuing to travel with them.

Dimitris did an amazing job leading our group trip through the mountain region of Zagori in Greece. Zagori is a special place to him, and you could feel that through everything we did during the week. Everything from the hikes and meals to the van rides and photo stops. Dimitris does a great job of explaining the significance of areas and trails throughout Greece. He always made sure we knew where we were (helps with the mental map). At each meal Dimitris also made sure we fed absolutely full with delicious Greek food. He was great about ordering everything and keeping variety while catering to all our needs and wants! More cheese, always. But don’t fill up on bread bc more food is always coming! Dimitris is also a very kind hearted man, and if you get the opportunity to do a trip with him and see his home then its a trip of a lifetime. Ask him all the questions, but also remember to sit and take in where you are at!

We just finished a 5 day Zagori trip with Dimitris at Tripin. It was amazing!!! The entire experience was perfect from beginning to end! The itinerary was meticulously planned and executed. Truly exceptional in every way, from the boutique hotels to the carefully picked restaurants, to the breathtaking hikes through varying landscapes and villages of Zagori, Dimitris delivered and the memories of this trip will be with us forever. This was probably one of the top travel experiences I have ever had in four and a half decades! Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a travel experience like no other! I had an amazing time on a group trip guided by Dimitris from Tripin Adventures. We explored Athens, Naxos, and Santorini. Dimitris made the whole thing a breeze; he planned all of our activities, travel, meals, and accommodations, and executed on everything perfectly. Dimitris is probably the best guide I’ve ever had. He took such great care of our group! I was always so impressed when he’d go ahead to the restaurant we’d be going to and have everything all ready for us so that when we arrived food was coming out to us immediately. He had great recommendations everywhere we went. I loved the hikes we went on. He always had incredible knowledge to share with us about everything from history and geography to food and culture.

Did a day climbing trip with them just outside the city. It was really great. They picked us up at the hotel, took us climbing for a whole day. Amazing. Nice crags, good guides/instructors. Great day.

Best. Trip. Ever. Can’t recommend Tripin’ Adventures enough! My husband and I did a “self guided” trip around Greece with Dimitris from Tripin’ Adventures in September of ‘22. Apparently this was (at the time) a newer concept, but there is no way we would have known. Everything was impressively organized and ironed out- I would have guessed they had been doing trips like this for years! Our criteria for the trip was 1.) fun hikes 2.) good food 3.) experience authentic Greece 4.) stay in our budget. Although he did not physically travel with us, Dimitris was able to put together a trip of a lifetime that met all the marks! He arranged everything for us ahead of time, including the hotels (all were amazing), rental cars, transfers (allowing us to do awesome through-hikes, and get from A-B with ease), museum and ferry tickets, restaurant recommendations, and even gps routes of all our hikes so we couldn’t get lost. The only thing we had to do was show up and have a good time! I was impressed with Dimitris clear communication, expert knowledge, and attention to detail. Plus he was super easy to work with, and very personable. I highly recommend Dimitris and Tripin’! You won’t regret it!

If you go to Greece (and you must go to Greece), go with Dimitris and Tripin. I have traveled internationally with REI, Backroads, and Mt. Sobek and Tripin meets or exceeds their standards. The White Mountains of Crete hike was my second trip with Dimitris and I could not recommend a guide more highly: his cultural and historical knowledge is broad and deep, he organizes accommodations and meals thoughtfully. It is very easy to be on the receiving end of his planning, from start to finish. (I can’t say enough about the scrumptious food: I took as many pictures of salads, seafood, and regional specialties as I did of the scenery and my friends). Crete is spectacular for hiking: each day on the itinerary brought a different landscape- from deep gorges and shaded forests, to exposed peaks (where you could look south to the Libyan Sea and north to the Aegean), to stunning beaches with 10th century chapels. All the time you realize you are walking through layers of history, from the Minoan to ancient city-states, to the Roman, Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman Empires, to World War War Two and the heroic battle for the island. At the higher elevations our group of five felt we had discovered a gem of a little-known Alpine environment; we also traversed paths used by people and animals for thousands of years, as the scent of oregano and thyme and old olive groves reminded us. We are already planning our next adventure with Dimitris.

I was amazed by the hiking trails in Pindus Mountains of northwest’s Greece. Is is one of the hiking world’s best kept secrets. Meteora is an awe-inspiring collection of sandstone monoliths with centuries old monasteries. The tour was well organized, lodging was 5 star starting from Athens to the last day in Papigo. Dimitri is very knowledgeable and clearly loves sharing it. He is very helpful, and skilled guide.

Wow what an amazing trip! The hiking and scenery were gorgeous, and the food was unbelievably good. I’ve done quite a few guided trips with various companies and traveling with Dimitris is by far one of the best experiences I’ve had. Everything from booking to getting to the airport for my flight home was a breeze thanks to him, and he took great care of our groups the entire time. He not only picked out great hikes for us to do, but the hotels we stayed in were fantastic and he made sure that we got to try a variety of delicious Greek dishes. I will definitely be booking another trip with TripIn and highly recommend these tours.

Dimitris is a one of a kind guide. I completed my second trip with him this summer in the Italian Dolomites. Once again he was professional, had a good working knowledge of the area and the activities of the trip. Our guide was encyclopedic in his knowledge of local culture, foods, trails - as well as a gracious host!
