The food taste is fabulous. Non-Veg, curries and Thokku served were mouthwatering. All the side dishes taste wonderful. We had non-veg meals, I like the choices of non-veg with the meals, you can choose Mutton, chicken or Fish. Nethily fry bothered me. Nethily size, it was too big, so it misses the crunchiness. Highly recommend South Tamilnadu restaurant. Traditional style interior, village lifestyle painting all over the wall. Clay dolls in the showcase resemble the Tamilnadu culture. But some people will feel the dining area is a bit suffocating, due to the multiple small rooms. Responsive service. Parking should be on the roadside. Which is give or take.

Nice place to have banana leaf rice. Unlimited refill and the portion is reasonable too. Price is also affordable. One good thing I found is that there are a lot of variety curry to choose from. Special one would be the crab and mutton.

The service and ambience can definitely be improved a lot for the price charged. Ambience: The restaurant is located near the pondy bazaar multilevel parking in an individual house type building from ground to second floor. The paintings are now very old and don't give a fresh and appealing vibe Waiting Time: I visited around 3PM on Sunday and almost 20-30 people were in queue. Since I was solo, I got a seat within 5 min but if you are someone who wants to visit with family or friends with 4+ members, you might have to wait for a while. Food: The taste of all gravies offered and mutton lever (my meals special) was top notch! However, costing ₹390 for mutton level meals, they definitely need to upgrade serving style with all gravies at least served together in first go in plates or leave bowls for the experience of it and justifying the price The servers can have a little active attitude towards attending customers Parking: Sufficient parking available Air-conditioning: Can be better, I was accommodated on the 2nd floor dining, and the AC was just okay. Overall: If you are someone who just wants to experience the food taste, you can definitely give a visit but if you also crave for a good ambience and service, you might give this a second thought before visiting.

New Pudukottai Kamatchi - An authentic home made style South Indian treat. I tried their Naatu Kozhi meals 🍚, Chicken Biriyani 🐔🍗 and Vanjaram Fish Fry 🐟. All tasted really great!! The price is moderate and worth the money. Definitely one of the best non veg restaurants in T. Nagar, Chennai. Great service. Limited car parking is available

Amazing Tamil Nadu style non vegetarian food along with excellent service by Ms. Ambika and Mr. Suresh. Do try their meals which comes with 6 different non veg gravies and with a non veg side dish of your choice. We tried ‘Kavuni arisi and karupatti halwa’ which just melted in the mouth. This place is a must visit in Tnagar.

I ordered for non veg meals and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Especially Fish Fry, Prawn Sukka and Mutton Sukka. Love the service too and they were very hospital explaining dishes and serving. Wholesome experience!!!!

As a middle class madhavan, price is quite high. Not worthy as that of quantity. Not satisfied. I tried, nethili fry - was good Mutton pushpa - தெகட்டுச்சு (don't eat at first, instead eat at last. Mutton pushpa is a bread stuffed with mutton and fried in ghee Prawn sukka - not so good. So much gravy As I said, 0 quantity and high quality. No food is below 200. If u go, need to spend 600 for a person. 200% super atmosphere. No compromise. Below I attached how they serve starters in a cup. The cup only attached not the dish. In this below mentioned cup only they serve starters. It only worth if u don't see money and prefer high quality and not seeing quantity.

If you really like spicy food, then this is your go to place, I don’t know for some reason every single gravy they served was spicy, not sure if it was deliberate attempt to hide other flavors, but the only flavor you ll be left alone is spicy. Brain fry and Nethli was good. Karandi omelette was burnt. If you are looking for a veg meal, this is not your place. Poorly managed space at this location. Not worth the hype!

Worst service. Weekday they’ll ask (read force) you to sit cramped on one side. Here are the pictures of whole restaurant being empty. Worst service. They need to learn the basics. Carrying legacy with arrogance is not going give them scale. Hope they learn or give others opportunities to serve better.
