Mold in the bathroom. Center of Brussels, capital of Europan Union, HQ of NATO and in the hotel where night costed over 130€ I've found a mold in the bathroom, as per pictures attached. I was honestly shocked. I asked for assigning another room, but apparently hotel was fully booked that day, I was told. I was asked to spend a night in that apartament and was promised that it will be cleaned next day. I was offered one free brekfast for that "inconvenience". Next day, when I returned in the evening, I saw that mold was not cleaned at all. I came downstairs and fortunately some other room was emptied that day and in my new room there was no mold. But kitchen table could be repainted, picture attached. It just looked dirty from various drinks. Also, when lady at the desk was assigning me a new room, she looked at the screen and smiled under her nose. I'm wondering what could be so amusing for her in such serious situation... In general, it was not something that I would expect from such place and for such price. I don't recommend.

The hotel rooms all contain a fantastic kitchenette which we weren't expecting at all, everything is very clean and modern and has all the latest fixtures and fittings. S . It's got a little kitchen with a dishwasher and microwave and everything you could need, a dining area, big sofa bed and lovely bedroom. There's also a lounge area downstairs that's really trendy and has free tea and coffee, we are hanging out there now. Access wise it's great, you need to press a bell for the reception go bring a ramp to the front door but everywhere else is great. The floors are all wooden so hoisting isn't a problem, however the receptionist did say that none of the suites have a roll in shower, so I'm glad I only have one night here. Its a fantastic hotel, and a great location.

The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment, something I was not advised of! It does put a dampner on your stay as there is work "stuff" all over the area where we stayed. Our room was comfortable apart from no air-conditioning. Desk fans were provided and they helped a little bit. If the Hotel is doing a refurbishment perhaps they should consider putting something a bit more practical in. They do provide a breakfast, the only downside of this was being rushed to eat and get out!! WiFi is available and this works great. I hope that the refurbishment will give the hotel the upgrades it needs, as overall its a nice hotel.

This is an average aparthotel with old style very small room. It certainly need renovation, I have included some photos explaining physical conditions of this installation. I also faced noise from construction in nearby area (from 7 am!!!!). Breakfast is also very average with very few choices. For the cost of breakfast, will suggest to go out and have some better breakfast and a good start of your morning. Their coffee machine is often not working, breaking down after few coffee cups.

GOT ABUSED BY MALE RECEPTIONIST WORKING SATURDAY NIGHT 30/04! After arriving at the hotel I have asked 3 times for a tea towel to wipe our dishes as none was provided and the lovely lady receptionist informed me it should have been in our room. after asking 3 times as I was walking back to my room with my partner, i stopped by the reception on Saturday night 30/04 in the evening. I kindly asked the gentleman working if I could possibly have a tea towel. That “gentleman” literally rolled is eyes and shook his head, jumped out of his sit as if he was FURIOUS, walked ti a cupboard, almost RIPPED OUT THE DOOR OUT OF ANGER, grabbed a hand towel, THREW IT in my hands and BARKED AT ME AS IF HE WAS GONNA HIT ME (et en me tutoyant) “J’Te donne un essuie à mains car j’ai pas d’autres.” (in English : (using inappropriate French used only for friends or condescendingly) “I give you** a hand towel as i don’t have anything else.” **Rude condescending french way to say You) I was absolutely shocked and speechless to have witnessed this strange explosion of anger and fury coming out of nowhere! He was so abrupt, so violent in his manners and vocal tone used!! I have never felt more uncomfortable in a business in my whole life !! I thought when he threw that towel at me that he was gonna hit me! (As we are a gay couple we even wondered if this was homophobia related or was he just having a bad night and we paid the price for it ? I don’t know but i have never felt as terrified and shocked anywhere before). This guy behaved like an absolute thug! Absolutely outrageous! NEVER WILL YOU SEE ME AGAIN Citadines Sainte-Catherine !!!

I really enjoyed staying here. It seems to be in a very nice part of town, not that I’ve been to Brussels before but I will happily stay here again. The hotel/ apartments were going through renovations whist we were staying and there was a little mess here and there but to be expected. The only issues was that we were woken up by loud banging and building works outside of our room at 8am if not before. This was totally unrelated to the apartments but it would have been nice to have been told at check-in that these works were also happen.

My average rating is based on the fact that the hotel got me a bit surprised. The photos looked much different from the real state of the rooms which are quite dated and definitely have to be improved. What stunned me the most was the very poor condition of the bathroom, everything there was very old and not in a good way. The bathtub was leaking, the walls were peeling, there was a funny sewage smell, I had a very unpleasant feeling taking a shower there. The good part was that the room was relatively spacious, facing the backyard, so there was no street noise coming. It had a reasonable size desk and a stable WiFi which was important because I had to work there. The kitchen was well equipped with the most common utensils. The price was acceptable compared to other Brussels hotels with such an excellent location.

Overall, it was a good experience. The accommodation is located right next to the local metro station. Also, not far from tourist attractions and busy shopping streets. The rooms were alright, it was like a one bedroom flat/studio. The staff were friendly. Also, we were able to leave our luggage before check-in as we came early in the morning.

  • 4/5 Martin 11 months ago on Google
It was a nice hotel (no AC in the room as far as we could see, though). Staff was also friendly and helpful and there was the possibility to store luggage in a designated room. Just one thing: while we found it nice to have access to compulsory water and coffee all day long, from the sustainability perspective it left a bad feeling seeing all the single use cups in the trash bin in the common room. Maybe it's possible to find a better solution, e.g. normal cups and glasses and a dish washer? Cheers!

So not professional. If you stay longer than a week, you be ready to have the room not cleaned properly - just passing the vacuum and dirty towel over stuff. There is one person only that cleans decently. However the weirdest thing is sometimes you'd get phone ringing in middle of night, and the fire alarm totally terrifying out of the blue. It happened in the morning while I was still sleeping and it literally gave me a stroke, I can not imagine what would happen to a pregnant woman in such situation. There were couple of times the alarm would terrify you like that, and noone even explaining or even giving a notice. Except of location this place is not worth at all!!

A good hotel with excellent service and a great location. Apartments come furnished with all the equipment and furniture you'll require to live comfortably. A bed, a table and chairs, a small kitchen with a refrigerator, a dishwasher, an electric burner, a kettle, a coffee maker, and other amenities. A hair dryer is included, and the bathroom is fairly comfortable. The hotel's prime position, right in the center of Brussels, is what we loved the best. The receptionist, the guy was super helpful and also suggested couple of restaurants to try.

Not worth the money! The whole hotel stinks like a bad vanilla spray as it seems that they want to get rid of the smell of old smoke. The bathroom is old and outdated, as is TV and all other areas of the hotel. Guess there are more up-to-date hotels in Brussels for that money.

Fantastically located hotel / apartments in Saint Catherine which is the ideal place from which to explore Brussels. The grand place is 10 mins walk and local restaurants abound. Rooms were good - could have been a little cleaner.

Very large hotel rooms. Includes kitchen. Central city. Televisions are included with cable. Quick walk to royal palace or the grand square. Next to the Ste Catherine church. Restaurants are all around the hotel. It is a bit noisy at night with appliances running all the time. Breakfast buffet for 15€ with pastries, eggs, continental breakfast, and more. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary equipment and microwave. Free coffee, hot water, and tea available in the lobby. I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

The rooms are extremely noisy. You can hear everything from the neighbouring rooms and the corridor. It was almost impossible to fall asleep without earplugs. In addition, the rooms are worn out and not nearly as inviting as in the pictures. A renovation would do well. Cleaning the rooms during the stay is at extra costs even though I was here for a whole week. The breakfast is okay but nothing special. I will choose a different hotel next time if possible.

We were there beginning September 2023. We realized after checking in that our backpack containing diabetic medicine was left on the bus that we took from the airport. The situation was very bad because we could not be without this medication. We told the receptionist our situation and were absolutely in panic, thinking there is no way we can find it again. The receptionist started asking questions to us about the contents of the bag, description, bus stop location and where we boarded the bus as well. He started calling the bus companies to look for driver who may have an abandoned backpack. After several agonizing minutes the receptionist (young gentleman who was helping us) told us about a backpack with similar description has been located and asked me to immediately head to bus station where we existed. The driver will have the backpack in his possession. I ran to the bus station and after several minutes the bus driver pulls in and asks me to verify questions (what's in the backpack). When I told him he let me take the backpack. I could not believe the luck we had because the backpack also had a brand-new tablet. But most importantly it had something that our life was dependent on. I will never forget the care displayed by hotel staff, and the young man especially (fit man of African descent). I apologize I don't remember his name, but I think he may remember us. This kind of thing doesn't happen often to guests. If it wasn't for him, we would never be able to recover our belongings. Once in a million chance. This is more than just a review. This was a lifetime experience I will never forget. Truly, love from all of us.

Perfect location with great apartment and facilities. Toilets were a bit too small and there were some water drainage issues with the sink.Otherwise everything went very well.

I lodged here in June 2019. My room was a studio on the ground floor. The location is excellent. But that’s about it for me. There is very poor ventilation and the cleaning needs improvement. Also, the smell of the loo is quite strong. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel.

HOTEL CANNOT FULFIL YOUR BASIC NEEDS like hot water. That’s an awful experience. We stayed for a weekend and really wanted to take a bath, we chose this hotel specifically because it had a bath, instead - we didn’t even have hot water in the evenings! The receptionist said that moving us to a bigger room would cost them a lot to clean after our stay. That really wasted our time and mood, also we didn’t have time for that as we had a lot of plans and business in the morning, and we didn’t get enough sleep and still no hot water the next night. so our whole weekend was ruined by this dumb hotel. BTW, it wasn’t really clean as well, stains on the sheets, no towels, no slippers. After a looong two-day discussions we a compensation, but that cannot give our time in Brussels back.

This hotel is decently priced for the value. We got a studio which was incredibly small and I wish it would have just been a regular hotel room instead of trying to cram in a small kitchenette as well. Bed was very stiff and we needed extra pillows to survive the evening. We got a garden view room, but the garden was just a bunch of rocks. Breakfast was incredibly overpriced, go elsewhere. Overall, the hotel served it's purpose but wasn't anything special.

Location is great, about 10 minute walk to the Grand Palace, next door to an organic grocery. Pay parking on site (20E / day), free WiFi if you register your email. No daily maid service.

Very nice hotel in general. Had a small problem with booking when we arrived where there was apparently a plumbing problem so our booked apartment was unavailable so our group was separated into 2 double rooms. Wouldn't have minded if they had given us a call first but there was nothing and no compensation at all!

  • 1/5 Kiran A. 4 years ago on Google
Our family got stuck in the hotel elevator for around 20 minutes and the staff was very rude. When someone finally did come to open the lift door he was shouting at us instead of asking if we were ok with children etc. hotel staff knew about the incident but did not even ask once if we are ok. No courtesy call, no compensation. When we approached the front desk they were uncaring and cold. TERRIBLE GUEST SERVICE. Do not stay here if you care for how hotel guests are treated.

Location is super if you like to be surrounded with bars, restaurant and shops. I'm still staying here atm for work but on cleaning day everytime something is missing or forgotten. Today garbage not emptied, only 1 toilet roll, no soap and the floor was not clean. Don't they have a checklist????? This is the 3rd time in the third week that the cleaning is not done properly or restocked properly. Probably the only thing was done is the bed. This chain was way better in other cities where I was staying.

The rudeness of all receptionists is the quality of this hotel. It seems that you need to say thank you to them to be their clients. It is not specify and also no instructions were given at the check in about the room service that is not included.

  • 1/5 Etzyona E. 2 years ago on Google
The place has recently been fumigation and the smell is terrible. On top of that the room is so poor there is no single picture on the wall... there is mildu in the bathroom.. there is no aircondition and it was a very hot week in brussels. The elevator is out of order and the coffee machine in the reception works with the world worse coffee beans. The place is situated in the center of Brussels next to a lovely square that all the students from the area comes to spend the night singing smoking and dancing.

  • 5/5 Monica V. 1 year ago on Google
Really nice and cosy place to stay for a short trip in Brussels. The location is really good - walking distance to Grand Place and other points of interest. There are many places to eat/grab a coffee nearby. We stayed in an apartment with another couple and our 1y old daughter. There was a double sized bed and a couch (twin-like). The bed was comfortable, but the couch was a bit noisy everytime you moved. Would definately recommend this place :)

Well located hotel with everything you'd expect, Inc a photobooth. Rooms were clean, however could do with sprucing up e.g. paint chips, lack of crockery and no seasoning etc for cooking.

  • 5/5 Bill 1 year ago on Google
Really quite a nice hotel to stay at. The room was very clean and even had a full kitchen at my disposal. My room backed into the central courtyard, rather than onto the street, which meant there was pretty much no noise from outside at all. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well every night of my stay. Location was great for the city centre, being around a 10 minute walk depending on where you're heading to. Overall I'd recommend a stay at this hotel!

The location of the apart'hotel is very very good if you want to spend a couple of days in the old town, the entrance faces the square of the Church of Saint Catherine. The rooms are correct and have private bathrooms that fulfill their function.

Good hotel with super nice staff and perfect location. Everything you need for living can be found in apartments - the necessary amount of furniture and home appliances. Bed, table and chairs, small kitchen with an electric stove, fridge, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee maker, tableware and so on. Bathroom is quite comfortable and there is a hair dryer. What we enjoyed the most is the location of the hotel which is situated literraly in the hurt of Brussels. Once you leave the hotel's doors you can see a huge amount of restaurant and shops, metro station is in 20 steps from the entrance, Grand Place is a 5 minute walk. Citadines Apart Hotel is a really nice place to stay, however you should be awared of some minor issues that could be considered serious by someone. The cleaning of apartments is paid, there is no air conditioner in the room which makes living here during summer a challenge (there are only heaters), the place is located in the popular area and it may be noisy at the evening.

This is my favourite place to stay in Brussels. I am coming back to this place after my last visit in February 2019. The location is perfect as the place is located next to central area. This time I stayed in the back building as I was not aware about that extension. This looks like new building and very nicely done. The rooms are spacious with small kitchen if you would like to cook something. Toilets are very clean and nicely design. The only negative side is room view but you will not mind it. Had a good sleep for 3 nights. Generally breakfast is not cover in room charges and may cost €15 per person as there are not many options but it is good if you are in hurry. The place is fully accessible but difficult for people with wheelchairs to go to back building. There is central court to enjoy fresh air. Also staff is very nice and generally allow early checkin if they have rooms.

The location is good, so 1 star for it. Rest everything is bad. Bathroom is so small and bathtub is small, high and pathetic. One needs a staircase to enter it. Lighting in the living room doesn't exists. Just 2 small lamps. No light in the ceiling. Kitchen basic equipment like tea pots and strainer wasn't available. Will not recommend this to anyone

  • 4/5 Brendan 1 year ago on Google
Stayed here over 4 nights and I think you get what you pay for. The place is nice and has all the things you want in a small apartment style. Separate bathing and washroom. The mattresses are on the harder side but I like that the sofa bed is split in 2 single beds. The breakfast has a wide spread and I quite like it. It usually cost €15 unless you have a membership. I think the spread is good and well made. Location is really good, close to the metro and many amazing food options. Also near downtown area as well while being off the main road so it’s not noisy. Cons: no aircon so if the weather is hot then good luck using the fans.

  • 5/5 Ahmed E. 2 years ago on Google
The hotel is located in the heart of Brussels. A 5-min walk to Grand Place (city center). A lot of restaurants, cafes and shops around. Studios are clean and spacious. Metro station is 1-min away. Staff are friendly and welcoming! Thank you for the amazing stay and the “free” coffee!

  • 5/5 Tanea J. 1 year ago on Google
Best location in my opinion. A lot of restaurants and markets nearby. Also the metro station was right here so it was completely fine to travel around the city. Close to the main attractions. Room was clean and very comfortable. The stuff was really polite and kind. Thank you so much!

Friendly welcome. Easy to park the car in the underground car park and knowing it was safe in there. We were on the top floor, level 6. Didn't get too much noise from outside and we had the window open all night too. The heating was on in the room and we couldn't find a thermostat to turn it off. So we slept in a hot room but the bed was comfy. Couldn't believe how the window opened fully, being so high up. The hotel is situated in a decent place within the city.

Hotel stinks of musty. room was stuffy, air con didn't work. sofa bed had bed bugs in it. Next morning completely covered in red bumps and itching.

  • 2/5 loxee 1 year ago on Google
While the hotel itself was alright, our room happened to be situated right above a bunch of restaurants and bars on a small but highly-frequented street. Due to the heat and the lack of an AC system, we were forced to keep the windows open at night which, considering the outside noise level, made sleep difficult. Breakfast was alright. Free coffee was a nice touch. The location of the hotel was very nice.

  • 2/5 Leticia S. 1 year ago on Google
I have recently stayed in the hotel for 4 nights with my family and it was good. BUT, please note that there is no A/C despite the fact Booking.com states that it has an individual A/C in each room. They have instead a fan and a fan is definetily not an A/C. This is misleading because if I knew that there was not A/C, I would have not booked there. We had a night with 35•C and it was a nightmare. Good points are the location, tea and coffee available at all times, bed very comfortable. Points to improve: hear dresser (too old and fragile) and the elements in the kitchen (not cooking pot, 2 soaps for the dishwater for 4 nights, no towel for the kitchen and no napkins or paper).
