A Gem. First of all, the owner is completely helpful, respectful, knowledgeable, and incredibly talented in creating Aquaecapes. Just looking at his creations inspirers you. Second, the store has almost every kind of aqua rock and drift wood. His plant stock is great and the plants are in perfect condition. This fish stock is directed at Aquascapes which I’m happy about and his fish are always in premium health. There are also tissue cultures and many more top shelf aquascaping supplies. Also all low iron rimless aquariums and my dream aquarium is available at this store!!!! It’s probably the best store in Colorado to gather aquascaping supplies. I would not have a beautiful aquascape if it weren’t for this store as my scales didn’t look good until I found this store!

Holy SMOKES this guy has the coolest scapes and best stock of decor I've seen in my life! Very helpful and kind staff all around and a small family business. Reasonable prices for sure. There is no better shop in the Denver metro for aquarium or vivarium hardscape materials (rocks and driftwood)! I've visited some of the top rated aquarium and reptile shops around but their selection is always extremely minimal in comparison to what Aqua Rocks has available. They also carry a nice selection of scaper tanks and other high end aquarium accessories. Beautiful display tanks make for a fun visit no matter what! I highly recommend checking this place out!

What a wonderful place! Aqua Rocks embodies what a traditional small business should look like: Fantastic Individual Customer Service, Competitive Prices, and that special bit of flair that makes you want to come back for more. As the name suggests, this is the place if you need interesting looking rocks for your aquarium. So many different selections will definitely have your mind turning over thinking about how to best design your new scape. Admittedly I was overwhelmed when I first walked in and spent over an hour just looking at all the different rocks. The flora and fauna are equal match to the aquascaping materials. Tommy and his team have just about anything you could want in terms of plants and fish. What really struck me was the display aquascapes littered throughout the suite. I wanted to grab a lawn chair and just admire the beauty. Tommy really has a knack for aquascaping. I chose to commission Tommy to create a new Aquascape for my 90 gallon -- which I bought at a fantastic price, roughly 50% below what Amazon could do -- and the results have been astounding. I could never achieve the level of detail and care that he took when creating my forest. He truly took my ideas and blossomed them into something beautiful beyond what I could imagine. There is a dedicated area where you can take the materials from in the store and create your own aquascape. The ability to 'build it before you buy' is really a selling point as it allows your creative juices to get flowing before actually paying for the materials. If you have any aquarium related concerns, Aqua Rocks is the place to go. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the merchandise is priced fairly and the selection is unbeatable.

This place is awesome. I got an amazing focal piece for my new 65g aquarium, exactly what I was hoping for. They have everything you need for aquascaping...all different rocks and wood, including bonsai frames. They also sell some fish and have a particularly nice selection of guppies. The staff/owners are super friendly and helpful. I drove an hour from Fort Collins and it was totally worth it.

Aqua rocks is hands-down the best store in Colorado For all your freshwater needs. Andy Walked me through how to make my design come true. They have the best aquariums rocks, and Driftwood, not to mention the rarest and coolest plants that you could ever find in the state. Go check them out I can assure you it’s a fish tank Wonderland. This was my first visit to this well-reviewed spot and it didn’t disappoint! Lots of areas for inspiration, plus an amazing assortment of hard scape options. Andy was incredibly kind and helpful, not only helping me with the fish and plants that I came for, but also helping me plan my next hard scape project. Can’t wait to come back!

Tommy and his staff are super knowledgeable and took the time to help us make sure we were getting the help we needed. I went in with an idea of what I thought I needed, and after talking through the issues in my tank, left with fewer chemicals and more money in my pocket and a better plan for how to move forward. All the tanks in the store looked amazing, even ones he said he was having trouble with. Also an amazing selection of building materials. I've been thinking about rescaling a smaller tank and got some great ideas. Will for sure be back to stock up on supplies and knowledge!

I have a chance to visit Aqua Rocks Colorado, the staffs working here are friendly, nice and have knowledge about aquarium. Even though im not aquarium enthusiastic, but spend a few hours to look at the display landscapes is therapeutic.

aqua rocks is the best! Andy and Tommy made my underwater garden a success from the tank and stand, the filter, light and most of all the plants. i would highly recommend Andy and Tommy. they really know their stuff. if you really want a GOOD aquarium. go see them and get yourself one of their VIV aquariums.

I had the best experience at Aqua Rocks Colorado. They have the best selection of aquatic plants, and everything you would need for any style of hardscape, theme and style. The owner was very patient and helpful and I would definitely recommend this place to any beginner to an advanced hobbyist.

Wow, what a cool aquarium store! I didn't know about it until this week, I am so excited to find an aquarium store that specializes in freshwater plants and tropical fish. They had some gorgeous planted tanks, and tons of plants for sale plus lots of healthy tropical fish, too. They also have some quality plant lights and tons of rocks/driftwood for putting in tanks. Today we bought a large piece of driftwood for our tank, and will be back soon for some plants once we figure out our water situation. A year or two ago, Denver Water raised the PH of the water, so while our tank used to be 6.0 PH, it is now over 8.0 PH. I think because of this, all of our java ferns have been dying slowly for the past year where they once thrived for 10+ years before the water PH change. Thanks to the helpful Aqua Rocks owners who told me about using a RO Buddie system that we can hook up to our faucet to filter the water for our tank, we're going to do that and see if we can get the PH down and then get more plants (and maybe a nice new light) from this shop. I'm excited to have a beautiful planted aquarium again! :)

Fantastic service from Tommy on choosing rocks for aqua-scaping. Very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The prices are great, but he still works to fulfill custom requests for sizes and shapes of the stones. I bought 10 pounds of black Seiryu stones and 5 pounds of accent stones. He sent me videos of both prior to shipping. The Seiyu was already acid washed as well, to bring out the color. The photos show most of the 10 pound lot, dry versus wet. Couldn't be happier!!

A welcome addition to the Colorado aquarium world, with an online presence (I haven't used). Aquascaping... everything. Plants in store are in great shape, with some awesome example tanks and the knowledge to build them. Lots of rocks, wood, higher end lighting and filters, ferts (including dry), plants, shrimp, etc.

This place is great, they have an incredible selection of hardscape and accessories. Tommy helped me build a layout and showed me some basics. I’d highly recommend this place.
