My partner ordered lunch from here as a to-go order this morning. Generally speaking, the food is good which is why he was willing to drive 25 minutes into downtown Denver to grab the food. The catfish dinner he got was delicious and we were really happy with it. Then we got to the cheesecake and before I even opened it, I saw that the back was moldy. This is very concerning, especially considering the fact that if I could see it through the container, the employees should have also seen it. I'm not sure how long it had been sitting in the refrigerator, but this is unacceptable for a highly rated business. We have tried calling them to let them know and we haven't gotten an answer. I'm not sure if we will go back.

We were looking for a hidden gem in central Denver and boy did we find one! Nola offers traditional down home Cajun food in a fun and authentic environment. The decor takes you back to the New Orleans French Quarter, featuring authentic Cajun and Creole dishes like Cajun jambalaya, friend catfish and other favorites. The owner even came over to say hello and share a bite to eat. If your craving southern comfort this is the place for you!

Nola Voodoo Tavern is a great spot! Customer Service was awesome!! Best Shrimp Pullboy I've had. The Hurricane, ooohhhweeee, best mixed drink I'd have to say. I recommend dining in instead of delivery. Go check this hidden gem out!

Definitely love the environment!!! The Voodoo Hurricane was nice and perfect for a hot day. Recommend eating the Surf and Turf Po'Boy. The red beans and rice were right on point!!! The blueberry upside down cake was insane!! Krissy was awesome sauce!

My husband and I love this place! He’s from Louisiana and we hadn’t found an authentic place here in town to grab some food until NOLA. I love their jambalaya and red beans and rice. Typically always get their sample platter to have a little bit of everything though! Their hush puppies and fried pickles are also amazing. It’s a smaller restaurant so the space is fairly limited, and the wait can be a bit long but it’s worth the wait in my opinion.

Took my leftovers back on my flight to Illinois and my very picky elderly parents were so impressed. The owner was really nice also. The best tasting food in bland Colorado!!!!!!!! Everyone in these reviews who says the food is not good is either a rival restaurant owner or drug user.

Well let me just start by saying their food is the best southern/Cajun I have had in my Life! It’s even better than what they serve out in NOLA itself and that sure does speak volumes. My first time here so I did order a bit of everything to give it the proper taste test. I got the southern trio with the jambalaya add on and all 4 dishes danced on my taste buds with flavor and spice. The fried food was amazingly executed as it wasn’t greasy or lukewarm and I ordered it to go! The catfish and shrimp were on point and I loved them hush puppies! I usually don’t eat those at most restaurants by the way. To tie up this meal I had the pecan pie which reminded me of my home state Texas. It was absolutely delicious and warmed my heart. I will be back here again and I suggest you come try it out as well, you will not be sorry!!!

OMG‼️Amazing experience ❤❤❤ Visting from Omaha, NE for my boyfriends birthday, and the Owner had him a free slice of Pineapple Upside-down Cake. 😋 Steve is very friendly and is from New Orleans like my boyfriend, so it was a lot of good vibes. We felt like old friends. It was a great experience for the first day on our trip.

The food here was decent. I have had better. The location and the road appearance are the two things holding it back. Parking is not great.

Such a homie & relaxed vibe! The food is so incredible!! We went in during a down time so it was not busy only a couple table were occupied making it a really relaxed vibe but I bet in the evening & weekends this place is just as hip as anyone could want! Even the culture around the bar, is just a perfect setting, inviting you in with the people spending time with their friends & dogs outside their homes! Don’t take my word for it, come try their amazing food… trust me you will be back for more!!!

It’s a daunting task to step out of your comfort zone and try a new restaurant, especially when you’re inviting friends and colleagues. NOLA did not disappoint! We stepped into a cultural comfort zone of friendly service, welcoming ownership, and delicious comfort food that will transport your taste buds back to the south. If you are looking for a cozy, inviting, creole feel that embodies the festive spirit of New Orleans, step into NOLA. We tried a variety of delights – fried pickles, fried catfish, and the NOLA sampler trio. All will tantalize your taste buds! Bon appetit my friends!

I described a dish with my review on accident. Bottom line. The food is sick dope tight. Highly recommend this place. Has big time New Orleans energy.

A winner for me every time I come to town. Not sure if the lettuce option to the poboy is new or if I just never asked before. Nonetheless, my Surf and Turf poboy (New Orleans hot sausage patty topped with delicious fried shrimp) was amazing as always. And the sampler with jambalaya is a must try...

I had the sea bass, and it was fabulous! We did a girls' night event there- and it was a hit. I spend a lot of time in New Orleans, and the food is spot on for flavor. I would recommend 100%

I absolutely love this place. Nola Voodoo Tavern is a culinary powerhouse. I had a truly exceptional dining experience, with outstanding food, astounding depth of flavors, and unforgettable hurricane cocktails. I can't recommend this place enough! I Can't wait to go again! The staff was friendly and very helpful when we were choosing our dishes. Amazing experience.

Nola Voodoo Tavern is a hidden gem! Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, the restaurant has some excellent food for an extremely reasonable price. The Hot Sausage poboy was one of the better sandwiches I've had outside New Orleans. Excellent service, nola style atmosphere, great food.

Food wasn't really that good but their hurricane was great! Maybe I went on a bad day for the kitchen. The blackened shrimp was very salty. The red beans and rice was good but didn't come with any rice in it. I had to ask for it. The service was great though!

NOLA is THE BEST! I am from the south and spent a lot of time in New Orleans and other parts of Louisiana. And NOLA lives up to its name. If you want true authentic Cajun and Creole food, there’s no place better in Denver. Lovesit
