St. George Simhasana Church is situated at Perumpally on the side of Mulanthurthy-Kanjiramattom road. It is 1.2kms from Mulanthuruthy Pallithazam junction. The church was a very small one and was on top of a small hill. The present church was built during the 70s. Now it has got sufficient parking place and a community hall.

A unique church building that elegantly blends the antiquity of the Syriac Orthodox Church with modern architectural elements. Resting place of late Metropolitan Mor Gregorios Gewargis (Perumpilly Thirumeni) who renovated the church to its current form. A small museum contains a reliquary that has a small portion of the Holy Girdle of the Mother of God, a cot used by St. Gregorios of Parumala, and a schema worn by Patriarch St Ignatius Elias III, among many other objects. Unfortunately these are not adequately preserved against the elements of nature.
