Great place with a good atmosphere and welcoming staff. Had the tasting menu. It was a very good option to try tapas with a twist and plenty for 2. Desert of strawberry cheesecake was delicious. Best tapas by far during our stay.

We went with a voucher from 'la vida es bella' which included 4 tapas and a dessert to share, and 2 drinks per person. The selection was lovely and they were accommodating and asked for allergies etc. The tapas we had were all very special, with a unique touch and beautifully cooked and presented. They gave us a shot to end the meal as a treat too, a typical Spanish tradition that I thought had died! So we left very happy and would love to return to try new dishes. Thanks for a locely experience!

Wonderful Tapas restaurant with a lively atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, fantastic service and delicious food. We had booked for 8pm when it opens and it filled very quickly so recommend booking in advance. The restaurant is a lot bigger than images I've seen and there's plenty of seating. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite type of food: simple, well tought, tastefull. Probar always surprises me even though their style roots in the popular Spanish food. You can't skip the ensaladilla russa and the croquetes, of course. As they constantly brin in new recipes, consult with the staff for suggestions.

We found this place completely by chance and entered because it seemed really cosy. At first, when we received the menu, we thought that we weren’t going to be able to find anything to eat because of our allergies. But the staff really helped us out and could modify some dishes to suit us. The result was excellent - fish and chips without soy (I don’t know how you make them with soy, but anyway 😂) and different pork dishes without gluten. The fried iberico (pork rind) was great, so was the mayonnaise salad with eel (!). A very good way to spend our last evening in Alicante. ¡Hasta luego!

A great place for tapas, very good tortillas and always surprises with something innovative and out of the usual. Have been there several times and liked it each time.

Definitely a place to come back in Alicante. For me a restaurant is much more then just food, it’s also good service, polite staff and ambience. Probar has everything. Los Callos and the cheesecake are a must have. See you soon!

Very friendly staff, tasty food (loved the tomato salad and tortilla) and good wine. Obvisouly preferred by locals and it may tend to become quite noisy at times.
