Ok hotel but not 4*. I was expecting more from the name and the price Things to improve: -Breakfast (healthy options) better juices -Sink / sewage smells in room 514 -Staff friendliness (short in tone and not welcoming in reception, bar, breakfast) -Bed comfortness (two single beds making a queen)

People at the restaurant were nice, but the hotel is not worth the price and starts indeed. Rooms were small. Just not something you would pay that money!

Such an amazing stay! We stayed two nights and were always welcomed by such friendly staff at the front desk. We were even given a free drink voucher for the restaurant/lounge. The room was exceptionally clean and had all the amenities we need. The hotel is also situated in such a great location. Everything is within walking distance and the metro line is close by. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the Barcelona area for a short or even longer trip. Thank you Grums!

Overrated, Basic, Poorly staffed, European hotels are just too overrated in everyway. This is not even close to a 3 star. No water provided everyday. Pickup from adjacent stores. No bell boy/girl. Tiny lifts. Breakfast charged €13 additional. No room service. Feeble staff in restaurant. Probably no lunch/dinner-we didn’t bother. Frontdesk lady was friendly but not the guy/s. At best close to a Hostel experience. Suprise: All hotels don’t reveal but charge so called CITY TAX per person. This is such an extortion. Btw…For non-EU people, all EU budget hotels are sub standard.

Ideal place for all stays in Barcelona;) The room is big enough for two people and with window for a open sightseeing. Room cleaning service was done daily and everything is clean and well set up all day. A variety of breakfasts were offered everything and never got bored with it. You can also get a free drink for the stay :), what a lovely place! The service is the best I ever had! Contact staff can continuously support any requirements to make guests' stay as comfortable as possible. Even for the extra demands... The staff never lost their patience. We seriencerly appricate all members' support during our stay. especially for the Cristina who has been our contact and gave great support more than a hotel service! It's our pleasure to meet you all and have a lovely fun here, looking forward to seeing you next time!

Terrific location and incredible service. My partner and I stayed at Grums for three nights, and its location was convenient to everywhere we needed to be. An overall great experience! The small touches with each hotel room named after a street in Barcelona, presumably each with history about the street inside the rooms, was very sweet. My partner took advantage of the spa and had nothing but great things to say about the massage experience. Highly recommended!

Clean comfortable hotel with staff who are very eager to provide hints and directions for travelers. Quick 20-30 min walk to a lot of the nicest sights in Barcelona. Nice patio and restaurant. Free breakfast buffet with lots of options. Safe area with a grocery store a block away if you need anything.

Wonderful hotel. Very nice rooms. Amazing breakfast. Nice courtyard for cocktails. Good location that is easy to walk to La Rambla. Would definitely stay there again.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! The worst hotel I have ever been to! And I spend 30-40% of my time in hotels around the world. The only thing positive about the hotel is the location and calmness. The room and all services terrible! By all means! It should be MAXIMUM 2 STARS! The sink is in the bedroom as the toilet is super tiny, ca 1m2. The toilet was sinking for 2 days, reported to the reception, nothing happened. Even the courtains not covering the whole window (cost cutting?!)

My stay was great until I left my airpods in the room on the bed and when I called a couple hours later to get them back they “couldn’t find them” obviously someone stole them and claimed to not find them. Would have been nice if they just gave them back to me considering how expensive they are.

Stay was good nice beds and spacious room just outside city centre. Only problem was we had to pay extra to use small pool and price of breakfast was €32 for two of us which made us go elsewhere in the end. we also had to leave the pool after 35 minutes as we had severe eye stinging (before even entering the water I may add) which we believed to be an unsafe chlorine content so be aware if paying to go in the pool. We also had to keep coming down to change keycard as we had door issues 5 times not opening - not ideal. Overall a nice stay but I think there is some confusion on the website/booking sites with what’s actually included.

We had airpods stolen which laid all 10 days of our vacation in the same place. Perhaps the cleaning lady noticed this and decided to take advantage of it. If you still decide to stay in this hotel, be careful.

A pair of AirPods Pro disappeared from the hotel room during the last cleaning. The hotel checked the cameras and nobody entered besides the cleaning staff. No further comment is needed… the sound isolation in the rooms on the top floor is very bad. Several times the room next to us were having a party at night. Even though the complaints from neighbors were addressed to the reception, it took them over an hour to stop it.

“We enjoyed our stay at Grums hotel. The hotel is conveniently located for visiting all of Barcelona. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The bar was comfortable and friendy for a nightcap drink and for watching the football. In summary we can definitely recommend this hotel”.

Stayed at 4 different hotels in Barcelona. This is definitely the most valuable one and my favorite one. Comfortable bed and pillow, soft towels, spacious room with reasonable price! Good service, good location, good breakfast (except croissant isn’t good). Highly recommended!

Good. Only real negative is that sounds travel throughout the hotel. No matter which floor or your in or even in the spa. From our room on the 5th floor, we can hear other people moving and even talking in ruins near us. However, apart from that the hotel is good overall, the staff are lovely and polite and very helpful. Room service is always quick. Reception staff are nice and helpful. The location is very good. Rims Rooms are good overall. The design with the sink being in the middle of the rooms due have it's negative aspects. Meaning, if my wife is sleeping, I'll be disturbing her if I'm using the sink or the shower. The balcony is lovely too. With sunshade and seating area, external lights and plants also. A nice place to chill and read. Overall, the hotel is good and more than acceptable. The spa is good BUT each session is only 50 minutes?! That's just not enough time, personally speaking. And for the money per session, it's just not really that fair. Apart from that, it's all okay.

We booked a family room and had to check in very late due to delayed flight. Taxi dropped us off at 1.30am only to find sliding doors locked and no-one on reception which we could see from the road. We had to press the buzzer a few times before someone appeared which was a little unnerving as there was a lot of shouting going on close by and we felt a little vulnerable. To be fair to the hotel, the receptionist had probably nipped to the toilet and we just happened to arrive at that time so I'm not complaining, just letting you know our experience. Check in was swift and politely handled and we were soon in elevator up to our family room which turned out to be pretty large by all accounts. 2 x single beds 1 x huge super extra large king sized bed. Room was very clean, sheets clean and fresh. USB chargers built into electrical sockets was a bonus. Only odd thing was the hand basin was in the room and not in the bathroom.... a little odd but not a problem. The location was pretty good. Some restaurants, mini marts and bakeries very close by and it was a 5 minute walk to the Maremagnum department store and that area. The hotel very generously let us check out late at no extra cost which was very much appreciated after such a late check in. Location is not bad at all really but you are not in the thick of things and so some walking is necessary to get to most places of interest.

We had a group of 6 friends from the UK stay at Grums Hotel, it was an amazing experience and everything offered was more than I could’ve asked for. The receptionists were all very helpful with early check-in, local/city recommendations and room information - we were offered early room, baggage storage and a taxi back to the airport without even needing to ask. The rooms were very good size, very modern and well cleaned. The restaurant bar was spacious and classy. We didn’t manage to check out the spa or gym facilities but they looked great too. The hotel is in a great location, 10 mins walk from las ramblas strip and very close to the coastline. I would highly recommend anyone staying here!

Spa circuit was really relaxing. Terrace was nice, but there's no view of anything you'd want to see. Breakfast was excellent. Reception and concierge were very helpful and professional. There's a supermarket right around the corner. Metro and bus stations are close. Lots of restaurants/sights within walking distance, including the beach, if you don't mind a 20- minute walk. The park next door was dirty, with homeless people living there and groups of people doing hard drugs, but that didn't seem to reflect the rest of the neighborhood.

Great stay in Grums Hotel!!! Really liked the room and location. Amazing breakfast!!! Definitely a must !!! Great selection of breakfast food. (Hot and cold) 3 type of sausage, spanish omelet, fresh pastries, spacialty coffee, mimosas,so much selection and all delicious!!! The breakfast area is very nice and has a nice outdoor area. Also has a lounge and spa. Very comfortable beds and modern rooms, but what really makes the hotel stand out is the people. Andrei and Raymond are wonderful. Ray is super helpful and is on point with whatever he suggests. Listen to Ray he won't stear you wrong. He gave us great suggestions on where to eat, the market and how to get around Barcelona. Will definitely be back!!! Made our stay so enjoyable.!!!

Everything was as expected and in some better. However one major sticking point , no sink in the bathrooms. Only sink was in the room. Yes it’s convenient there when your sharing but a small sink/washing facility is a must in the bathroom.

Amazing place with amazing staff. Cristina from the reservation department is very kind and helpful with everything, and she answers every question you have or any request you make. Cozy rooms with a big shower and comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast with local products and amazing sweets (those small donuts with chocolate are insane). Nice location - close to Montjuic and approximately a 10-minute walk from La Rambla or the port. The hotel is also close to a metro station, but we walked 20 km every day to see everything in this beautiful city. We stayed for one week, and everything was perfect. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Barcelona. It made our trip truly enjoyable. P.S. Cristina also ordered good weather for us after a rainy day, so she made our trip even better :)))

ROOM: was in room 513, very average, not to say poor. Wood parts were ruined, bathroom was small and the sink was in the room instead than in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, pillows not that much. The tv is a very old model, no smart services, no connection to phone, just a screen basically. WI-FI has been poor for the entire stay, forcing me to use my own data connection. There was no table to work, but just a very small wall unit of around 30x70 cm, on which you can't even lay a 15.6' laptop. Icing on the cake, I had ANTS all over the room for the entire stay. Noticed it to the staff, but they kept walking in the room day after day.......unacceptable. For the room, considering the price, I'd have given 1 star or less, to be fair. BREAKFAST: this was good, good variety, good products, BUT the cups for the tea and the tea variety are really poor. If you like to have a hot tea for breakfast, you better bring your own tea bags as the ones offered have a ugly taste and you'll have no tea pots but just very small cups. SPA: the fact that you have to pay 16€ for 50 minutes of SPA already makes it hard to consider it a decent service, even if the staff was really good. With the price you pay for the room, SPA should be complementary, and more important you can't price 16€ for less than 1 hour. Also massages' prices were insanely high.....I mean, apart for a 52€ neck massage, all the rest was around 150€......are you kidding me? STAFF: this is the best thing, as everyone was friendly and professional, very, very good.

Good and quiet hotel. So sad the gym is poor and the spa need a lot of money. I am surprised that the breakfast is not included and it takes €18 per day. Usually it’s included.

Beautiful hotel, rooms were clean and bar was also nice and cosy. Andrei was also great to deal with, he took time and recommended beautiful places for sight seeing, Dinner and to top it off a great place for ice cream. Thanks again Andrei

The staff was very helpful and ensures guests safety. The restaurant was not as nice as I expected but was still good. The pool is not included you must pay, as it is part of the spa.

Staff was good, they did everything that we would feel good in the hotel. The hotel itself as decor and such wasn't our liking, but it is clean and good beds. Spa was actually nice too. Price was a bit high.

Great experience in the spa! We booked their spa circuit (possible even if you are not a hotel guest) and the staff was very nice. They also offered cava at the end! The spa is quite small but it has the basics - pool & saunas. It's a good value for money.

I GOT ROBBED MY IPHONE 13 PRO MAX just outside the hotel, we came from dinner with my man and as we tried getting out of the Taxi to enter the hotel my phone was snatched from my hand, safety of this hotel is something to watch out, the reception tried calling police who came and nothing was done at all, the room of the hotel is too small, no hotel shoes nor bathrobe you have to request all the time, it was such a nightmare for me and my man in this hotel, we ended up regreting everything

We have just had a 3 night stay in one room, we had plenty of room, the staff are very helpful and it is very clean. A problem in the kitchen meant we didn't have a good service on the first night but staff left us a lovely note, chocolates and gave a free complimentary breakfast for the following morning, what more could you ask for. Thank you x Room 107

Upon arrival the reception area was clean, modern and the staff were very welcoming. A big mention to Ray the porter who helped us from minute one, looking after our luggage and giving us excellent recommendations for local places to eat authentic tapas and watch the World Cup. We stayed in an Premium Double room with a terrace and the room itself was well equipped. It was a little warm but easily resolved by opening the large terrace doors. We found the cleaning service to be very good, including being gifted a chocolate around 7pm every night! We didn’t take up the breakfast option, preferring to try local brunches nearby. Which reminds me, the hotel is well located. Only a short walk to Las Ramblas. The bar only opened in the evening and drinks were overpriced, €11 for a G&T is a premium price. The only real negative for us was the use of the spa. It was included in our stay and we chose to visit at 12midday on Friday which is when it opened. Sadly, the staff seemed to start just before midday and turned on the steam room and sauna at midday so they were pretty cold for the entirety of our 50 minute session. That being said, it didn’t detract from our vacation and we had a wonderful time. All staff were so friendly, very helpful and we will stay here again.

My partner and I throughly enjoyed our stay at the Grums Hotel and spa. The customer service was excellent from the start. Large, beautiful modern rooms and interior within the hotel. We used the hotels spa facilities which were a small area but brilliant. You can easily get into the city and see the top attractions, the metro line will take you auto any attractions that you may not want to walk to. We were sad to leave the room! We would absolutely return here if we came back to Barcelona and highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is in a central location, 10 min walk to Rambla and the port shops. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. The welcome drink is a nice touch! Didn’t use the spa so can’t comment on that. The area the hotel is in isn’t the nicest but we felt safe walking to and from the hotel in the evenings. Two single mums with two 10 year olds! Barcelona is a lovely place to visit just watch out for the dog poo everywhere!

I visited Grums for a 2 day work trip in February 2023. I was greeted warmly by reception and given access to my room which was spacious and decorated with a modern finish. On the first night, I began to notice issues. The initial issue was that the AC was set to 24 and couldn't be changed, unless I changed it to heating mode where I could pump in 19c air... Neither of which I wanted. That night I became acutely aware of how thin the walls and ceiling were as a woman in heels marched around upstairs. Bring ear plugs and prepare to sleep with the door open. The rooms are crying out for maintenance, with paint peeling, mould, leaks, dirt residue and window seals broken (seen in pics). It was February, so potentially out of season for this hotel. When I informed the reception upon leaving that the room required maintenance, the bearded gentleman at the desk met me with a defensive and argumentative stance. My particular favourite element was the argument that I had said door and there was only a full length window in my room, standing from the floor to the ceiling (like a door). My plan was only to inform, I had already paid. The hotel is centrally located, convenient but much of the area is heavily marked with graffiti. In some areas it's a beautiful feature, in others not so much. There are some local homeless begging by shops and I would keep your belongings close, as you would in any city centre.

Wonderful experience. Front Desk and Housekeeping did an amazing job. Room was great, bed was giant! Shower worked amazing. Would recommend.

This was a lovely hotel and situation close to Barcelona hotpots and the sea. And with just a few suggestions, it would have definitely made it to a 5 star review. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience great. They offered a free complimentary drink upon arrival. And the room amenities were fab. The first hotel where toothbrushes and toothpaste were provided, as well as water and a mini fridge! Super handy and helpful. The rooms and hotel was very clean and the cleaning staff did an incredible job at cleaning the room and making the beds to a great standard. Two things I'd suggest to make this hotel even better would be: have the wash basin in the bathroom, as it is a bit inconvenient to have to shave outside of the bathroom quarters. Also, there were no chairs or adequate table, this would go far to have two chairs and a small table for eating within the hotel room. Apart from these suggestions, a great place to stay and would definitely return if I could in the future!

Great location and staff. Very comfortable bed and clean room. Shower needs a good clean as their was black dirt all over the grout and tiles. But apart from that very awesome. A great cafe next door for breakfast and awesome coffee.

The spa is supposed to be included with your stay but its extra for which ever massage ect you choose also left a brand new tracksuit and apparently I never oh and my partner was assaulted on the way to our room for being English so overall I would not choose here again it has ruined my partners thoughts of going away as this was her first time! A triple room is not OK either as it's 2 single beds punched together so kept separating and the restaurant food was all raw and the prices was ridiculous there is not point asking how we want our burger cooked if its going to come out dripping f of blood anyway

Rooms smelt like sewerage (we had 3 rooms and all had the smell). Also, air-conditioning blows out hot air. We got a technician to look at it but he said that was as good as it gets- room was way too hot. Spa is small and not free for all room types, only terrace rooms. Staff were fantastic on reception and in the bar. Wouldn't return.
