Great place for sunset. Lost the vibe due to extreme commercialisation. Cable car price is high considering the short distance and not much views. Wish the place is maintained better. Closing time is not 6pm. Go near to sunset and find a place with good view. There are some cafes food places and shops. But none of it excited me.

My visit to Gun Hill Point in December with friends was an incredible experience that left us in awe of nature's beauty. The exhilarating trek to the top, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, and witnessing the majestic sunrise made it a morning to remember. Gun Hill Point is a must-visit destination for those seeking tranquility and stunning vistas. The trek up to Gun Hill Point was an adventure in itself. The well-marked trail offered a moderate challenge, and as we ascended, we were rewarded with ever-expanding panoramic views. The surrounding hills, covered in a blanket of mist, added an ethereal touch to the journey. The crisp morning air and the sounds of nature further enhanced the trekking experience, making it a perfect opportunity for a refreshing morning walk. Reaching the summit of Gun Hill Point was a moment of triumph. As the first rays of sunlight peeked over the horizon, the entire landscape was bathed in a warm golden glow. The sky transformed into a breathtaking palette of colors, painting a mesmerizing backdrop for the picturesque hills and valleys below. The view from Gun Hill Point was simply awe-inspiring, leaving us speechless and filled with a profound sense of serenity. Apart from the stunning sunrise, the point itself offers a peaceful environment for visitors to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. The well-maintained area provides ample seating and vantage points for panoramic views. It's a perfect spot to relax, meditate, or simply appreciate the grandeur of the surroundings. I would highly recommend visiting Gun Hill Point for a morning walk or sunrise excursion. It is a place that instills a sense of peace and rejuvenation, surrounded by nature's grandeur. Whether you are an avid trekker or simply seeking a tranquil escape, Gun Hill Point offers an unforgettable experience that showcases the beauty of the natural world.

This is a gorgeous view point. I just wish all the stalls etc were organised nicely to maximize the view points! The cafe and stalls are built quite haphazardly. That being said, the views are gorgeous! Misty hills and a sighting of the Himalayas! I walked in here not expecting to see the mighty mountains but we did! I totally recommend the telescope experience where 3 men will show you different viewpoints like the clock tower, the first English school, a small temple

Second Highest point of Mussoorie...🥰😍 Beautiful point it is as historically on this point, the canon☄️💣 shots had fired to know the people about timing🕑. U can go via cable car 🚡🚠on this. Also there were 🔭 telescopes where u can see 10 points of Mussoorie at 250rs. U can see Sachin Tendulkar's bunglow🏡 in Mussoorie (as per telescope person telling), mohabbatein movie bunglow and church⛪, lal dibba point, Himalayan ranges🗻, china border... U can also enjoy photography as it's a very scenic place. There were shopping 🛍️ stalls, for kids play area🎠🛝, food stalls and much more. Simple masala Maggie🍝🍜 u can enjoy by seeing the beauty of Mussoorie city from this place.⭐⭐⭐

If you planning to go Massorie, without visit this place your journey is incomplete because it's the top of Massorie and the view is amazing from Gun Hill view point.there are two options to go here, first tracking second zip line. If you have good stamina, prefer tracking in morning time and the way is from mall road.

The way to Gin hill point goes from Mall Road via Cable car . Ticket for cable car costs Rs 720 per person for 2 yr and above. There are two cable cars. And the ride time is 10 min max. When you reach Gin hill there are various food stalls, haunted house, play stations for kids. The temperature would be less here as compared to the city, so better to carry jackets. The last ride back to Mall Road goes at 7pm.

A great place and view from here. You have two ways to come here, either by foot or by rope-way. Rope way will cost you Rs.180(as on 20th June 2022) for up and down both which has the waiting time of almost 30 minutes on weekends. On gun hill there are various toy, magic and game shops. People are also very humble over there. Also there are hotels and tea points which will serve you on reasonable prices. When I visited with friends there was hailstorm. Overall this place is recommended to visit.

Even though it's the most easily reachable viewpoint, given the ropeway starting from Mall Road itself, the wait times were really bad. We had to wait 1 hour each on the way to there and the return. The view itself is pretty average you'd get at any hill station. Only good thing was that eating options are available here. Since, it's right on the Mall Road, you can surely visit but don't except much.

The views were good from the top. There is also a nice temple on the top. They have a bunch of shops with some kids friendly games where you can spend some time. You can also take pictures wearing traditional dresses. There is a scary house experience which is a complete waste. The cost for the cable car is quite expensive.

Excellent location for sunsets. Given the short distance and limited vistas, cable car prices are exorbitant. I wish it was better kept up. The store doesn't close at six o'clock. Find an excellent view location as the sun is setting. A few cafes, restaurants, and stores are present.

Beautiful place. You will get to see the Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath ranges very clearly if you are lucky and the weather is clear. Apart from these you will also be able to see some historical places of significance using a telescope. The views are breathtaking. Please do visit if you get a chance.

Nice cablecar, but on top is awful market space with no good veiwpoint. Its pity - such a bad way of attraction. Best view is from top cabin station ((

  • 5/5 Nimish K. 7 months ago on Google
Personally, when I went to this point, it was filled with fog with hardly any visibility, so I just loved it. Though there are many souvenir, magic, games led shops but the small cable car ride was the star attraction. Good place to hang out for an hour but as we were a large group of 100+ pax, we waited for almost an hour for our turn to get in the cable car as it takes approx 5 mins for next round of cable car. Approx 6 to 7 people can be accommodated in 1 cabin.

It’s a nice and soothing place if you want to move away from crowd on Mussoorie Mall Road. You can take cable car from Mall Road which is 220 per head return trip. Make sure to teach gun hill by 4:30-5:00 to visit sunset.

Nice, calm sunset view point of Mussoorie. ropeway is available to reach the viewpoint. Restaurants and some kids corners are there along with some shops where one can collect local handmade products.

Gun Hill is a scenic spot in Mussoorie that you reach with the help of a cable car. The cable car ride is short but worth it because you get a beautiful bird's eye view of the hill station. However, they often send way too many people in one cable car, which is why you may not always get a place to sit. Once you reach Gun Hill, you can see the Himalayas from there, and you can even pay a little extra to view it through a telescope. Additionally, there are also some games and shops there for tourists. Overall, it's worth a one-time visit if you're visiting Mussoorie for the first time.

Take the ropeway or walk up the hill, you have choices to reach here. Atop this you shall find aout many shops buzzing with activities and games both for children and adults. There are a few shops to figure out your local shopping experience but I think you can also checout Mall Road for that. There are a few local shops which offer an experience of maggi, Parantha , juice , shakes etc with a view of the hills. A mandir stands atop this hill, I visited the same and liked it. A visit during the dusk shall ensure you get to the both the day and night view from here however if you come in the day you have a telescope view point (paid) where guides show you the ranges, rivers, valleys and more from here.

In Mussoorie this is the highest point; to get there, take the ropeway (Recommendation) from Mall Road or walk. Best view point , with city views and mountain ranges visible from the top, though it is usually obscured by clouds. One can also see rainbows from here. Small shops offering souvenirs, magic shops, and tea shops can be found at the summit.

Great view points on the top. Awesome natural scenic beauty with the hills, valleys and clouds. Must visit the telescope view point it is 3 way open and corner point with a great view. One more thing it could be quite difficult and risky to climb the way to gun hill top with very steep and slippery slopes on the way. However it is worth it if you dare and want to have a good trekking experience, otherwise one can take the ropeway it's quite reasonable, quick and less exhausting with a different experience.
