A beautiful and well-designed place! The campsites are great, with clean ablutions and a layout that makes you want to stay longer. The entire lodge has a welcoming atmosphere, and we felt right at home. Everyone was super friendly, and if we hadn’t been on a schedule, we definitely would have stayed longer. A lovely stop that we’d happily return to!

Until they install AC do not stay here. They claim that AC technicians are hard to find in Namibia and electricity is too expensive; every other place we stayed in Namibia (some very remote) had AC so their reasoning doesn’t make sense. We purchased a bottle of wine from a local store and enjoyed by their pool, after asking the bar staff for 2 wine glasses - which they happily gave us; at checkout they tried to bill us N$300 for opening our own bottle. The pool area is nice and the rooms were very spacious, so the property is nice for an afternoon of relaxation. Jaboo the dog is the real star here. However; the owners here seem greedy and just out to make a buck, this is a shame as the staff at the lodge were so friendly.

I have to give it 5 stars. Electricity not always available but that is not the fault of the owners. We had dinner and Grandma cooked for us. Amazing. Super friendly staff. African sunrises at its best.

I had the pleasure of staying at Ijaba Lodge with my family over the Christmas holiday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The rooms were beautifully appointed, offering comfort and style in every detail. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. The food was outstanding, and the team exceeded all expectations - particularly with the Christmas Eve dinner they arranged outside. The chef’s attention to detail was impeccable, making it a magical evening. Housekeeping was top-notch, and the waitstaff were some of the friendliest we’ve ever encountered. Even the lodge manager came to personally see us off as we departed, a thoughtful gesture that truly stood out. To top it all off, the resident dog became a delightful companion, adding to the charm of our stay. Ijaba Lodge is a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an extraordinary getaway. I can’t wait to return!

I dashed down from Etosha National Park as the sun was settling, got to Ijaba with ten minutes to spare before check in closed, twenty five minutes later I had dinner ordered and in front of me, such good attention to detail and customer service. The room was very well appointed and the chance to follow the walking trail up to the lookout was a welcome change to so much time behind the wheel.
