The food is not the highlight here, The atmosphere, the space, the way the surroundings were created is the highlight. The food is just average. The food we ordered doesn't meet my expectations. We ordered ghee rice, chicken kadai, alfaham mandhi, chicken biriyani and beef masala. The only thing I loved was beef masala. Chicken kadai was sweet which was odd. I never had a kadai that is so sweet like butter chicken. The wait after ordering the food was tremendous. My son fell asleep waiting for the order. Poor table service. Don't visit the place expecting a great experience of taste. Bit expensive too

Hospitable staff members,delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, a very spacious spot to conduct and host parties, A vast place for car parking facility ♥️ And the ambiance as soon as you enter is very welcoming!!. Staffs are extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations and we could feel that making the customers happy is their main priority .. To be honest ,everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had in a while especially the platter,fish curry, tikka club sandwich were the most favourites as everyone simply loved it ! Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Also its Ideal for those who want to take out family for a gathering as i dont think its gonna burn a hole in their pockets 💸 Had to wait for about 20 minutes precise to get the main course which i think is normal as the food felt very fresh and hot with the right amout of spice😍 But we got our caesar salad and dragon chicken the minute after we ordered! As soon as we entered village cafe , there was music rendering at the background that we felt as if we were back in dubai! Very innovative set up with unique furnishings , lights and props! Can’t wait to return back and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to have a fine dining in and around kanhagad.. but i have heard that almost everyone comes here no matter how far they stay🤍 but , We are so fortunate to have this place just a few kilometers drive away from our home and yes if im right i had come here for more than 8 times consecutively after being settled here in India!! Good food, nice and neat place to go with friends and family. Fast service. Good assistance by Mr. Diluwar. Although he hails from Assam, he speaks fluent Malayalam surprisingly. Do try their Chicken Caesar Salad and Butter Garlic Squid.

Fantastic experience at this restaurant. Great food, great ambience and excellent service. There is a long wait for the food, but it's worth all of it. A live fish counter to choose from. Adequate seating area, beautiful interiors. Children's play area and a beautifully designed fish pond. We had the Kerala veg meals and fish curries ( fish mango curry & fish mulakittathu ). It was very tasty and the quantity was also good. Dessert options were also good. It's a bit pricy, but offers quality and taste. Must visit if you are near Kanhangad. Parking spaces are also available. Party area is attached for family events.

A great place for food. Everything served was spectacular. Would definitely recommend this place. Great variety of food. I had the Maharajas thaali which was spectacular (to be shared by 4 people atleast). The fish tawa fry and fish mango curry was also superb.

Recommended place by local people and must say it is truly a great place for local food and reasonable also. More than a food wanted appreciate their hospitality. The waiter who was taking our order was so polite and we have ordered whatever he has suggested us. Although there is always a waiting due to rush but it is worth it. Happened to visit this restaurant as we have very limited options for eating out around the Padanakkad (Nileshwaram side ). Went there for lunch and wanted to try the pasta . I Visited this place during my vacation in kerala .Unfortunately most of the items in the menu were unavailable . Whatever we had ordered was okok. Nothing great about the menu as they have a mixture of chinese arabic and Indian options . Service was below par/poor even with the limited number of guests. Ambience was nice but hot as a hell house even with the air conditioners on. Tried their mandi which is also below average . I don’t know if it’s just me but restaurants really don’t have any idea about mayonnaise and garlic pastes. As expected very mediocre place - nothing great about the food . You could just visit there with your family and have a normal restaurant experience that you could get elsewhere. Won’t recommend.

It's always crowded in spite of the large seating capacity that shows the quality. The best part is the availability of all kinda dishes. Price is as per standard. They have a party hall, prayer area and a kids park. A cafe attached to the restaurant is also a good spot to hang out with your buddies. Outside there is a live fish counter, where you can choose your favorite one. We tried their platter, fish tawa fry, iranian Alfahm, Chicken nadan curry etc and all items were satisfied. As a coffee lover I should mention the taste of their coffee specially 😍. Highly recommended to visit with your family and friends.

Excellent atmosphere and ambience. Very tasty food reasonably priced. Special mention for Mr Haneef, the manager of the restaurant who made sure that we had a wonderful experience as a family. His helpful suggestions with the menu made things a lot easier. Do try the Maharaja bhog. The beautiful platter with a a variety of choices is truly set for a king.

We ordered a royal Arabic platter. That was super good. It included five varieties of chicken. It's enough for 4-5 people, and I added extra butter naan.We celebrated a birthday, so they provided a cake and a lagoon biriyani as a complement. Staff joined us for birthday. The service and atmosphere were good. A good night out🤍

It was a nice experience at oryx village!!!.This is my absolute favourite restaurant in kanhangad. One of the most attraction is that it is situated near the town(kanhangad south) and we were amazed because of the ambience,it was very charming. 'Nalu kettu' is the other main attractive factor of oryx village, it gives us a traditional feel, we can enjoy the rain💦 with delicious 😋 food.Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Staffs are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. The menu is extensive and seasonable to a particularly high standard. From starter to dissert the quality and taste of everything was outstanding. The food is always Fantastic and no matter what i order I'm delighted with my meal! I have to say,i enjoyed every single bite of the meal .considering the quality price is reasonable and affordable.I ordered butter Nan,kulcha, Butter chicken,chicken tikka and chicken cheenachatti. It was so delicious service we received was so amazing and we will definitely to be back again. A perfect place for hung outs and to serve your appetite. Amenities has an overall standard of a multistar restaurant. Well maintained wash rooms and reception. It's hard to find a place which has the best of everything. But Oryx is that place which tops on all parameters. Ample parking space to start with, very good service, some amazing decor, wonderful ambience overall. Coming to the food, they have quite a variety of dishes and their speciality seems to be Kerala and Arabic cuisine. The Porotta, appam, mango prawns curry, chicken curry all were excellent. The arabic platter with a variety of chicken kebabs was the highlight. It's good for a group order. And they have amazing teas and juices and shakes. Worth visiting if you are on travel in this route as there are not many good eateries near the highway till Mangalore.

Nice location for families and kids. Oryx is best place for any get together also food is value for money. There are banquet hall available for get together or any other functions. Kids play areas is available for entertaining kids.
