As soon as you pull into the parking lot you see this giant great white shark head and teeth above the door. This pet store has everything you want. My family bought a rodent. We named him Charlie. We love our rodent.

I love going here when in town. But this time was a disappointment 😞. Tropical fish inventory was low. Took 20 minutes to get helped and there was not that many customers. Ended up leaving without fish cause of lack of inventory and sales rep talked me out the fish I choose. Thought maybe I could go online and order from them but evidently they stopped that.

That Fish Place might be a nice brick and mortar store based with good reviews but online order of aquarium plants is quite problematic. I found That Fish Place looking for aquarium plants that are reasonably close to where I live. My local LFS is not that good and we have no other choices. Based in Lancaster, I knew that would be a day or two tops of ground shipping to me so I decided to check them out. First the good parts: my plants arrived quickly, within a day once the order got straightened out. The plants were well packaged, good quality and healthy, as good as I might get anywhere else. The huge problem was with ordering. I've never seen anything like it. Online it will tell you what is in stock and what is not, like any other site you order from. However none of that matters. I completed and paid for my order of "in-stock" items only to get an email a couple days later that literally half of my stuff was actually not in stock. Some items they could not give me the quantity I ordered (e.g. "we only have 1 of the 2 you ordered") and others were just out of stock. I don't understand that at all except that maybe for them, your order is more like a "wish list". You "order", and pay for it, but then you have to wait for them to contact you and tell you what they actually have and then adjust your order. That's a big PITA to have a delayed two step process to order plants, and not the experience you will get from other online aquarium plant vendors. Worse, when my order came, it was incorrect from what they said they could deliver and what was on the packing slip. It had extras of one plant that they said were limited and did not come with things they said they did have and charged me for (I ordered 5 anubias plants, which they confirmed they had, charged me for and was on the packing slip but I only got 2). I didn't bother trying to get it straight with them after I received the plants. I figured I would just write-off the experience and not order from them again. So in summary, I see a lot of good reviews for them but they appear to be mostly from locals visiting the store. For internet purchases of plants they are too unreliable to order from. Their online inventory seems to have no relation to what they actually have and are able to ship. It is all a big shame, I really wanted to like them!

Always have plenty of frozen fish food available as well as wood and rocks for scaping a tank but never any black worms. Some employees can be a little condescending with how to care for the fish but i understand why however they should really work on how to educate someone vs talking down to an individual. Good selection of fish BUT i do see a lot of ill fish, i understand that they come from large farms but quarantining them before selling them would be very much appreciated. They do however have a really great selection of plants! I will continue to go to this store though some improvements can be made.

This place is too much! They cater to the animal lover in us all whether feathered, scaled, or fur. If you cannot find what you are looking for here, you will not find it anywhere. If you like my review, please give me a thumbs up / like so I know that I am helping someone out there...

I always enjoy coming to the location in Fairfax Shopping Center! The employees are knowledgeable about the merchandise and attentive. The store is ALWAYS clean and isles are free of debris. This location is always well stocked and I love looking for new and interesting buys. If your looking for variety, quality, and quantity you can't go wrong! Don't forget to sign up for the membership! The discounts and rewards are AWESOME!

Don't buy fish from them. In 2 days my fish died.

Every one of the beta fish were dying from lack of oxygen. This is awful. I won’t be returning.

This was the biggest pet store I have ever been in. There was plenty to see. They had a variety of animals too. It was nice to see the sting ray area too. When we were there they were having a reptile petting area. Get to know about then and the care for them. Very nice place. Parking lot was full!!

This place is well stocked as far as merchandise is concerned. They have just about anything you would need for starting up having most pets, as well as varieties of food options for all types of animals, including live and frozen animals for reptile feeding. It would be nice to see puppies/dogs here and more freshwater varieties of fish. The associates, however, are very nice, well educated, and helpful. It isn't the absolute nicest pet store I've been in, however, is very nice. Would have given 5 stars if there weren't so many empty freshwater tanks. The prices on the products are also competitively priced compared to others like them.

Love this place. You can adopt cats, purchase fish, lizzards, bunnies, birds and hamsters etc. They have salt and fresh water fish. All kinds of pet supplies and toys. Tanks, filters and you can pet sting rays...

Insanely expensive. No reason a baby chameleon should be $80. Kois are outrageous too. Would be 1 star however service and overall store is very good. Prices are terrible all around. Not sure how people say prices are fair... They obviously don't know what a fair price is for what their paying for.

Great pet store. They have things others do not. Prices are not to bad either.

1. Great social distancing measures and cleaning practices that people actually FOLLOW. 2. Unfortunately that means their ray touch tank is a no touch zone, but they didn't take it away! You can still look at them flapping around. 3. Pet food? Check. Wild bird food and supplies? Check. Aquarium? Pond? Specialized iguana kingdom? You got it. 4. Helpful, knowledgeable staff who care about what they're doing. 5. Two words: bird sanctuary.

They pretty much have everything you need plus the store itself is a bit of a fun experience. It's unfortunate that the petting aquarium had to be closed thanks to the coronavirus, but you can still see the pool.

First visit, despite everything going on with COVID-19, my family was not disappointed. We drove a little over an hour based on a few recommendations from friends. Even though the place was very full, the staff appeared friendly, the animals all seems happy and healthy and the prices and selection were both excellent.

Have heard good things about the fish place.. but when we visited there was a lot of empty tanks.. guessing because of availability and restocking issues due to the covid pandemic.. would like to go back and see how it looks fully stocked

Clean and organized

Have shopped here for 30 years. Sadly, management is not enforcing mask wearing nor social distancing and the place was packed today. Several people not wearing masks at all and our cashier was wearing his mask below is nose. Could barely find a parking spot as there were so many people. So dangerous with the current COVID numbers. If you are concerned about catching COVID, I would not shop here. I will be back when it is safe.

At that fish place I had a lot of fun looking at all the different fish. I favored the salt water section. The fish were fun to watch & lots of different patterns of similar fish. I was really excited to see & watch sea horses swim around. I stopped in that pet place for a new hide for my ball python & found what I needed. Briefly toured the reptile room. Nice selection. Frozen feeders & crickets available.

Other than being under staffed with often times having outrageous wait times they certainly have almost everything. Tip : work on your pond items selection and hire more people because those teens working there are gonna look 35 ish real quick working like they do

We were told my 6 year old daughter who can not walk could not use a cart to go look at the fish. We drove 45 minutes to go to a non commercial pet shop since her fish Purple passed away. We were told no and when my husband said something they offered an adult geriatric wheelchair. She is 6 and very small for her age due to her Spina Bifida and it is not safe for her to ride in that. They could have had an employee walk with my husband and her to make sure they didnt bump into a tank that I understand. To completely deny them access unless in the over sized wheelchair. We are now looking for another small fish shop to get her a fish. It is horrible to see your child so upset because all she wanted a new fish, and was denied entry because she could not walk. It is great they offer adults folding geriatric wheelchairs, but these are simply NOT SAFE for pediatric spina bifida patients.

Great experience today for both me and Brownie Bear, an 80lb pitmix. Have shopped at the Concord Pike store numerous times, however this was our first spa appointment. BB enjoyed his bath and nail trim, he can get over anxious and the fact that you get in and out makes this easier on the pet. Erin did a fabulous job, and my dog was very happy and relaxed. We even purchased a new bed. We'll be back and will recommend. Thanks Erin Brownie Bear looks handsome!

This pet store is great! They have soooo much stuff for all kinds of pets. I always find something for my dogs. They also do grooming or you can do it yourself in their facility. The employees are always friendly and helpful.

They gave our dog Oliver a great spa treatment. Sadly and shortly days later he would be diagnosed with a enlarged bladder and prostate cancer. We had to make the painful decision to put him down. I would go by there and thank them again and let them know about having to put Oliver down. We would recommend this place to any dog lover and plans are being made to adopt another dog in the springtime and utilize them again.

Staff is super friendly, prices are pretty decent. They could use a bell or something in the back of the store, seems like any time I need crickets none are pre bagged and you have to track someone down to help you get them. Besides that I prefer going there over petsmart or concord pet.

No longer in business at Wayne location. Have to go to Phoenixville store. So sad.

The Grooming department is filthy. When picking up my puppy. I was appalled as I watched as they reused grooming tools on different animals without sanitizing them or the surfaces. Needless to say a week later my puppy contracted some sort of topical rash. If you were thinking of using them don’t. RUN. I’m reporting them to the board of health too.

I always enjoy stopping in at That Fish Place - That Pet Place. It is like visiting a zoo with all different types of fish, reptiles, furry animals and birds. You never know what you will see here. It is also a pet friendly place. The last time my niece and I were there we saw a shopping cart full of doggies, it was a customer visiting too. They also have a touch tank with sting rays and fish. Besides all the different types of animals they sell everything you need to raise any type of pet! Stop in, you won't be disappointed!

This is so much more than a store. They have lots of animals to interact with and an aquarium selection that is second to none. It's an awesome place to take children and explore. They often host adoption agencies and also educational tours.

Clean and welcoming environment. Fun for the kids. Huge selection of pets and supplies for them! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly! Even brought home our new red foot Brazilian tortoise from there a few weeks ago.

The staff is friendly and much more knowledgeable when it comes to detailed questions about the care of your animals. The stingray touch tank is not only fun for the kids, but an engaging and educational experience when it is feeding time. We appreciate the cleanliness of the store as well.

I’ve gotten lots of fish and animals from here and each time they’ve been healthy and very active. I really love that fish place! I have multiple aquariums in my house so I’ve even gone there to ask questions to see if I need to treat something or just ask questions about the fish they have. It is definitely a great place to take kids as well they even have a spot you can pet rays!! I would definitely recommend going here!

I have been coming to That Fish Place for many years and consider it THE destination for all things pet oriented. On the aquatics side, their selection of aquarium equipment and livestock is second to none. They also have a very knowledgeable staff on both the floor and the fish room ready to help at a moments notice. On thing I definitely appreciate is that they are very active with their coupon mailers and weekly sales events. Keeping your customers in the loop with big sales and coupons gives people like me who live an hour away more incentive to make the drive. That Pet Place is also very active on social media, constantly hosting free events such as pet specific expo days and swap meets. Last year I attended their That Cat Day! which was a mini cat expo inside the store. They had several cat specific brands in attendance handing out free samples and swag for the kitties. Overall, That Pet Place/That Fish Place is an amazing store that all pet lovers need to check out if they are ever passing through the Lancaster area!

Was looking for small fish filters and no one had them. Thankfully you guys did and for only $5 for 4 filters. Way cheaper then online. Store very nice and clean and great customer service. Plus very kid friendly and lots to look at and do. My kid had a blast and asked to go back. Thank you very much.

I was very excited to drive 3 hours away from my house to see experience That fish place. I approached the register to ask for help and the manager said it’s about an hour wait. I said ok and proceeded to wait. 15 min later I was told that I needed to register and join a waiting list. The manager didn’t explain this and proceeded to have side conversations with a group of employees that weren’t doing anything. As you can see from the picture they stood in a circle and talked while myself and 5 other people waited for service. I will not be coming here again based on the poor customer service and lack of communication. Message to mgmt please advise your staff to look busy if they say they are.

I really love this store. So much that I posted in fish forums about it. It was clean, well designed, and well organized. The fish room was beautiful! I only have two areas of concern: 1. The bathroom. Out of order stall and no toilet paper in the other two- also could have been cleaner. 2. The Oto tank had a pile of fish sticks in it (what I call dead fish). Like six of them. I went there wanting to buy them but they also had no guarantee. So I walked away and let a cashier know: and she was wonderful about it (seriously the customer service is great). Also: Ben- whoever you are, your aquas aping is top notch and the display tanks were not over crowded. Absolutely wonderful. I will return again and again! It’s an hour drive for me and there are box box stores near me and my one LFS about 40 min away but this is going to be a regular store in my life. Well done.

5 stars for the grooming! The best part of That Fish Place is the Grooming -That Groom Room. Kayla is absolutely fantastic! My little guy is so excited to see her and she does a wonderful job grooming him! We won't go anywhere else- please don't ever let her leave!! As far as the rest of the pet side of the business at That Fish Place- very big selection and really a one stop shop, but prices are higher.
