After multiple failure surgery for hemorrhoids and fissure, I decided to take my wife (Who is also a doctor) for consultation to Healing hands Pune from Tamil Nadu. Thanks to Pankaj (Director - Healing Hands) who handled everything from booking appointment > Discharge > Including follow up and courier of the Biopsy block to my home address in Tamil Nadu. 19th Feb 22 was our appointment, and it hardly took 10 min to meet Dr Ashwin sir after collecting initial history of patient. He is best of the best for proctology and all I can see is people go him after so many un-successful surgeries. He took time to explain each issue with advanced digital proctoscope in place where even patient’s attendant has a chance to view the issue through a screen set up at doctor’s desk. Good thing is, they follow evidence-based approach where treatment is explained based on what you see out of your own eyes during examination. As my wife is a doctor, she already knows surgery would be needed to fix the chronic fissure which she suffered out of pain for 1.5 years literally daily. Since she had history of failed surgery before, we wanted this surgery to be done only by a very experienced surgeon specialized in proctology only. Dr Ashwin was amazing, he said “Forget the past, I will fix the issue permanently”. Since my wife was in extreme pain, we requested surgery on the same day, and it was agreed. Dr performed the surgery by evening, the one word my wife said after the surgery was “surgery pain is far better than the fissure pain itself” and she felt relieved immediately after surgery. Thanks to Insurance team, I just handed over my wife Aadhar and insurance card, and I did zero follow up. We went to Pune by flight with strong pain killer as my wife was not able to sit for long due to fissure pain and we returned to Tamil Nadu Coimbatore with out pain killer and my wife was able to sit comfortably. It’s been 5 days post-op and my wife has recovered enough to do all the work by herself and good thing is, she is not in extreme pain anymore. People who complain about the charges, I strongly believe that We pay standard price for the quality of service provided with super advanced machines at the clinic. My husband was admitted and treated for piles. The surgery went fine as per Dr. After 4 months, he has still not recovered. Dr keep calling us to the clinic and charge us to wait for hours and meeting you for 5 min and telling you, it is looking good. We have stopped visiting and still looking for genuine doctor to treat him. The IT staff takes your phone and post 5 star rating on their own. That's why taking effort to come and change the review. This is not Doctor's review. Paid Parking available but limited . over crowded and COVID-19 norms are NOT followed. Super duper crowded. even if this is a hospital They dont know what covid norms are. Vaccination and Other patients reception is at the same small hall. people were seated very close to each other . not enough space available. Even if you take appointment you have to wait 2 hrs before seeing the Doctor.

Due to discharge I had visited the hospital where I was asked to go for 3D scan instead of MRI because they believe their 3D scan is more reliable and provide more information that MRI can’t. I spent 8000 rupees just for test and report showed nothing unusual so they prescribed some expensive tube for fissure which was available in Healing hands only.I travelled back to UAE and did my MRI within 1 month and found out that I have complex fistula. I contacted healing hands multiple times to report that the 3D scan was not able to detect my fistula but none of the doctors responded. My suggestion to everyone is please do consider other hospital before visiting Healing Hands.

Update: Done my both vaccines here. And every time experience was much better, hassle free. The staff are very helpful. Wait time can be between 5-30min depending upon crowd. But they are very professional and prompt in processing. All payment modes accepted.

Total waiting time was over 3 hours. Considering the place is to get relief from the place you sit, today the clinic made us wait good 1&half hour just to enter my name & phone number. Even after taking an appointment we were made to sit, finally had to leave due to unbearable pain. Other patients were waiting helplessly for over 1-2 hours after the clinic had taken the "History". Not recommended at all.

Had visited for hernia surgery of my family member. Due to some concerns we wanted the hernia surgery done under local anesthesia which is not the normal protocol. Since we are not residents of Pune we contacted the clinic by phone and Dr Namitha was our contact point and very patiently answered our numerous queries. Even Dr Ashwin spoke to us over the phone as we were concerned about the anesthesia. This gave us lot of confidence and we flew in to Pune the evening before the scheduled surgery. Dr Namitha had given the details of all tests etc to be done from our home town as we didn’t want to spend too much time in Pune amidst Covid uncertainty. On day of the surgery arrived in the morning and after formalities Dr Ashwin met and examined the patient. He was very humble and down to earth despite his fame and told us only hernia surgery was needed one 1 side and not on both as we had initially thought. He even told us to go to Bangalore for follow up and stapler removal as Pune was far for us. Dr Gandhi did the surgery under local anesthesia which is more difficult than normal protocol. The surgery was over in under 20 minutes and within 40 minutes the patient was in the room !! We were amazed. We had a recovery room which looks straight out of a five star hotel which was very comfortable. Again Dr Ashwin came to meet us in the evening and the patient was discharged in the evening at 6:30. And wonders of wonder walked on his own feet out of the hospital and into our hotel room. There was some pain which was handled with painkiller pills for 5-6 days but the patient was able to take 2.5 hour flight back the day after the surgery. The follow up and stapler removal was in 10 days and recovery was fantastic despite advanced age and in record time. Even after the whole process Dr Namitha was always available for follow up guidance as needed. It was really worth it to fly all the way to Pune to get the surgery done. The charges are a bit on the steep side but given the personal care and super fast recovery time and minimal discomfort the 3D mesh and healing hands Pune was really worth it. The nurses, ward boys were all so accommodating and sweet. The billing too was fast and in the room. Hospital is clean and room amazing. The only down was the canteen which served super spicy and terrible food and took ages to deliver anything including water.

After having pain from last two years, I finally went through surgery in the Healing hands clinic. Dr. Gandhi and Dr. Porwal Explained me the issue clearly and made me comfortable for surgery. I’ve been coming here for my husband’s follow up checkups since 2 or 3 months now, currently also I am in the hospital but due to lack of feedback modes had to come here to convey my concerns it has been 2 hours post our appointment time and since we are at the hospital , we are still waiting for a simple follow up, you guys should either stop taking appointments as its a time waste for both the hospital and us, else you should declare 4-5 hours as your wait time, so people come prepared. They have vallet parking facility, even the parking staff guy had a list of appointment patients.. He confirmed the name and ask us to proceed to reception.. Atmosphere was very soothing and calm.. Already 3 receptionist were there to guide us.. We met Dr. Afra sheik madam for the history taking session and then we met Dr. Ashwin Porwal sir. Within 3-4 mins Dr. Ashwin explained the case with video proctoscopy and resolved all our questions with smiling face.. He was so confident about success with his surgeries.. 1. They sell medicines at 5x rates. Like 100 grams of triphala powder with added ingredients costs 250 rs. Outside it costs only 50 rs. 2. Their surgery costs are double compared to other hospitals. For eg. a fistula surgery would cost 1 lac in their clinic but the same surgery would cost around 50k in other hospitals. 3. You have to wait for 2-3 hours in a queue to meet the doctor even if you booked an appointment. I mean why their is a concept of appointment if you have to wait in a queue for hours. 4. Assistant doctors just avoids patient's complaints postoperatively. They'll say the same thing like don't worry & you'll be fine again and again. But they'll not pay attention to patient's actual complaint. 5. Their blood tests costs around 2500 rs. I have done the same tests in other hospital and it costed 750 rs only. 6. The main surgeon dr ashwin porwal will not meet patients after the surgery. He's just so busy all the times. I have only seen him once on my first consultation.

Staff behaviour is very rude and non co-operative. They told me to wait there and after two patients i will be called. There were only two patients that time. I was not aware about the OPD procedures. I was sitting there in front of them for 45 minutes. They were aware I was waiting and they didn't say anything. When I inquired they told that you haven't feel the form and you have to wait. Their behaviour was very unprofessional.

Ok I m mother of four years old baby boy..I had very bad experience with this hospital...before visiting this place I went thru reviews and had positive thoughts..but to my surprise i had just opposite experience.very poor management..I had my four years baby circumcision surgery and it went successfull. I have no complaints about it . But the staff was not coperative. No one came to see my baby after surgery. And room was not aircondition. How we can stay with one kid in suffocating room..just imagine . And they have some issue with insurance company due to which they created hassle for us by not giving discharge.they kept us waiting in that suffocating room for more than five hours. This review is about appointment process they follow. One of the worst appointment process i have ever seen. Minimum waiting period is 2 hours. Sometimes you have to wait for 3 hours also. They dont take appointment on call after several requests also. You have to visit clinic and pay for appointment then only they will consider your appointment. I have seen several reviews abt this problem but they are least concern to improve this. Today i have seen people fighting also for long time waiting in clinic. And i noticed their own staff also reported this issue. There is no options for 0 or negative ratings else they deserve this.

They have the best doctors and nurses. Very clean. The staff is always ready to help. They have great follow-ups. Pre and post surgery they really help you with every doubts. The food they provide to the patients is very hygienic and of good quality. Ours was cashless, they were very helpful with the paperwork and everything.

I value the staff here. I was lost and mislead at so many places for the proper treatment for my piles condition. Technology is advance, staff is well mannered, mostly crowded I have suffering this issue from last 2 month. I have Heard about the healing hands hospital from my cousin sister. I had visited here at at last week and they suggested me to do surgery so i came up here today to surgery. Now the surgery is done and I am feeling well but facing little bit pain. I thought it will be covered in next day. Over all expression is good. So I figured I would post my experience about after 6 months, since when I got the laser surgery and was looking for the information about it and it seemed like 90% of the reviews I found only covered the first few weeks. So some back story, I'm 23 and had my surgery on 14th Oct, 2020 under charity. We are quite unstable financially like less than 10k monthly income bracket so Dr. Ashwin Porwal helped us with the bills through Healing Hands Foundation - his initiative for helping poor & needy people which deserves thousand stars of rating but here I can only give 5. So coming back to my story, I will be at the 6 months mark in about 2 weeks. I had prolapsed hemorrhoids 2nd grade internal ones. Overall would I do it again? Definitely, but there is a lot of stuff I wish I knew before hand so I'm posting this review to help you out. Plan on taking atleast a month off if you can and if you're doing physical labor take it easy for at least 2 months. Dr. Porwal originally told me I would be back on my feet within 3-4 days. But I spent 3 weeks pretty much lying on bed. After 3 weeks I was able to walk around and do normal activities somewhat, but it was not a comfortable experience at all. Bending over hurted, walking up and down stairs hurted. A word of advice looking back is even though you are in pain you should take the minimum amount of pain meds you can. They will make you constipated and the last thing you want after hemorrhoid surgery is to be constipated. Trust me I learned that hard way. Start taking fiber a week before the surgery and don't stop until you feel 100% better. Try not to eat anything hard either. I pretty much ate daal khichdi with ghee for the first two weeks. You want whatever is going in you to come out as easy as you can. Liquids/soft foods are your friend. It took me about 6 days after my surgery to finally use the bathroom and I'm not gonna lie it was excruciating. It took about 6 weeks in total to be able to use the bathroom without being in a lot of pain and 8 weeks for it to be "comfortable". Don't push just sit and wait. If it doesn't work try again later. You should be in there for a minute or two, don't take too much time. Also don't be afraid if you look in the mirror and see what it looks like. It's going to look horrible for first 2-3 months or so. But after about 4 months most of the swelling should have gone down and it will start to look more "normal". It took around 3 months in total for me to be back to my normal activities without being too uncomfortable. I went back to Dr. Porwal at the 3 months mark and he told me I still had some healing going on for the external one and to give it a month or two. After 5 months the stiffness has gone away, now that I'm coming up on month 6 and I would say I'm about 90% back to normal. While 6 months seems like a long time to deal with this its really more like 2-3 months of actual pain. The only real issue I'd say after its all said and done is I still have some discomfort & skin tag where tissue was taken out. Maybe I should wait to see if discomfort goes down a bit. So I figured I'll wait another month to see what happens before making any decision. Overall I'm really happy I had it done. Yes it sucked for few months, but I've been dealing with them since 3 years. So few months of pain to no longer deal with hemorrhoids was well worth it. Thanks to Dr. Ashwin Porwal & the whole team of healing hands clinic for taking care of me in this critical situation of covid.

One of the WORST appointment process I've seen so far. Also do note that you may have to wait for 2 hours or more even though you have an appointment. The reception staff is very arrogant and ignorant whenever you come in for checkup or follow up. The doctors are very cooperative, they explain everything in a very good manner. The housekeeping, canteen etc all places are very well maintained and proper service is provided.

Hi I'm Suraj Anant Naik I am here at Healing Hands now. At this hour I'm just done with my surgery few hours back, few minutes back I sat and I'm walking without any pain. Many of you will say it's anesthesia but I am taking about pain that I had before surgery. I have undergone my rectal prolapse surgery at this clinic in June 2020. Procedure of surgery was STARR Surgery and it was conducted by Dr. Aswin Porwal. I was a 3rd year medical student at that time. Today I am myself a doctor and I realise what a best decision it was to undergo the proposed surgery. The surgery cost was also very much less as compared to other hospitals. I have been to 4 different hospitals in Bangalore before I visited Healing Hands and all of them gave me a quotation of Rs. 1.5 lakh to 1.7 lakhs and suggested for laproscopic surgery which was really unnecessary. Pls read all one star reviews, think 1000 times before getting operated here. For 20k operation they will charge for 2 lakh, most of them are facing a lot of non ending pain till 3-4 weeks. All 5 star reviews are given by taking your phone during your first time visit by person who's in reception area. Are they running a hospital or hotel.

First of all, this is not at all a painless procedure. I got operated for complex fistula and piles three weeks back and I am still having continuous pain. On the 5 th day follow up the doctor asked me to resume work too but I am still not able to sit properly and walk without pain. I am surviving on painkillers whole day. I had read that it’s a relatively painless procedure but that’s not true for sure. After 7 days I called up the Junior doctor to tell her that I am still having a lot of pain and she told me that the pain is due to abscess and I must get operated asap. She forgot that she herself had admitted me for operation 7 days back. It was so shocking for me. So I am not sure about the relative advantage of this laser surgery over conventional one because both are equally painful. The service and facilities at the hospital are like a five star hotel for sure. So if you decide to get operated there, just don’t be under impression that you would resume work soon. Be prepared to sit at home for at least 4 weeks completely.

I visited the clinic from United States after suffering from chronic constipation for seven years and after 4 visits to different medical consultants in the US and Turkey and I must say I was impressed by the level of professionalism of the entire staff. Had initial consultation with Dr. Leena and conducted test same day and the problem was detected, I was recommended STARR Surgery which I agreed on without hesitation. On surgery day, every staff knew exactly what to do and it was very coordinated. Dr. Ashwin Porwal conducted the surgery without a single complication which I was very happy about, after surgery the doctor took time to talk to me about the surgery and I was made aware what was fixed. Miraculously I was able to fly back to the United States just 2 days after surgery. I wish I knew this clinic earlier, still recovering but I am already seeing significant improvement.
