Cool experience! We arrived after everything was shut down and it was very cool to see from that perspective with virtually no one around. We return the next day to the hustle and bustle of the crowds, the smell of seafood, the fresh fruits and vegetables, all the vendors with their goods, and food booths The flowers were absolutely stunning throughout the market, I wanted to buy them all!

Fantastic experience! A must do for any traveler. There are so many places to eat, all kinds of variety of foods, great shopping, and flowers galore. The pier our back has a great view and lots of seating. Live music was incredible. Also the customary fish toss.

The largest open air market I've ever seen in my travels. Well worth spending an afternoon sampling cultural cuisine from the far corners of the Earth. From Japanese red bean buns and French Parties to Greek Spanakopita, the Pike Place Market had it all. Not to mention the most beautiful and cheap fresh (and dried) flower arrangements I've ever seen. If I wasn't flying home I would have grabbed a couple for the house. The market has something for everyone, not to mention the original Starbucks.

Love this iconic public market in Seattle, home to the original Starbucks. You can find all kinds of food, fish, seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables, plus restaurants, food stalls, snacks, to other all sorts of souvenirs, clothing, even an apothecary and so much more. Great place to just walk through and experience. Watch the fish tossing at Pike Place Fish Co. Multiple levels in some parts. Don't forget to check out the integrated storefronts for their goods and bakeries galore. Best thing is the Pike's Place Chowder located in a back alley. You must stop and try the food! Seafood bisque and new England clam chowder!

Must visit when coming to Seattle. It can be quite crowded in the afternoons and evenings. So to enjoy the food vendors, arrive a bit earlier in the day! However during the earlier portion of the day some of the other street vendors selling non-food items aren't set up yet. Regardless of when you visit, do your research and know which places are "must try" places so you can effectively plan as some of the lined can be quite long!

the fish, the flowers, the coffee, the art, the interesting new things we found made this a very nice place to visit, we were there in May 2021 and the Pandemic was still in full swing, not sure how busy it is in a "normal" year, but in the morning there were not too many people (except at the 1st Starbucks store). The view of the bay behind it and so much more to explore, Great place.

Good place to visit with family and friends. It is crowded as there are many stores and restaurants on site to include the original Starbucks coffee store were the brand started their business many years ago. Parking is all around the area but is metered on the street or in paid public parking spaces. Overall a nice area to visit and spend a few hours checking out the city.

Unique to Seattle, this popular tourist attraction doesn't disappoint, accept for maybe the crowds. The area provides a lot of history to absorb and the market itself some great bites! Best place to grab some beautiful flowers for home too! FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world 🌎

The first time I visited Pike Place was more than 30 years ago. Pike Place Market was more like a market at the time, with some souvenir shops and restaurants. But the amount of souvenir shops and restaurants keeps growing. They have less place in there still selling fish or other food items now! I miss the days when people were buying groceries at Pike Place Market, even though I do like to buy souvenirs too! I can get them somewhere else!

When I visited Seattle this summer, this market was high on the recommended list of places to visit. I had an amazing time here, all the fresh seafood, fruits & veggies. Lots of different places inside offering a multitude of various items. The views are amazing & the people were friendly! I will definitely be back & will definitely order some seafood to be mailed to my home!

Do I need to write this review to convince you to visit Pike Place? I don’t think so. Make your way down to see this iconic landmark and enjoy fresh produce, seafood, artistic works, and much more. Stroll along the market and immerse yourself in each stall and learn about the items offered to you. Head here once or even twice while you’re visiting Seattle.

Absolutely amazing experience and must visit iconic site in Seattle. 6 floors plus 30+ food places to choose from with great variety and options, especially for fish. Definitely a 2-3 hour stop. People who work here are also very helpful. Street parking is not easy to find though. Also, most stores here close before or at 6 sharp. They also have stores selling seafood (fresh and smoked), flowers, shirts, groceries, honey, collectibles like stamps, coins, old newspaper articles etc.

Of anywhere to visit in Seattle, this is one of my favorite stops. A great variety of unique finds, a number of great places to eat or drink. It can get busy and even crowded at times, but it's worth it. Highly recommended if you haven't been here before, and if you have, then you already know.

Pike Market is always really busy. There is so much here. From little gift shops to large fresh fish shops. You can always find something to buy. It's right by the water with some beautiful views. The famous gum wall is accessible from here. There are famous places for clam chowder, handmade cheese and also ice cream places at Pikes Market. Plan on spending at least half the day here and enjoy the shopping. You can find really good deals on amazing fresh flower bouquets!

Loved being back here after so many years. First we went during the week when it was much less crowded. A lot less vendors as well but it gave me time to look around without being pressured by who is next in line. Next we went during the weekend when all vendors were there. Quite the experience for those who have never been. Lots of places to eat, a maze of hallways to different shops and bookstores. I just enjoy the whole atmosphere. A gentleman was even playing drums out front of the market! There's always something going on around here.

One of the Seattle prime spot to cover while going around Seattle. This place has fresh sea food available raw and cooked if sea food lover! Apart from that there are fresh veggies and fruits with local artists and portraits created by artists for sale. Also, Piroshki- Russian bakery opposite to Pike Market and first ever Starbucks are must and should places to check out if wandering around this area. Around Christmas they have beautiful lighting too.

Many interesting shops all packed in one place! Many layers of history and liveliness, and alleys are organically formed. Contrastingly, this places is very quiet, still, and post-apocalyptic during after hours. Good for having a moment of Zen and reflection in the city.

Of course if you’re a tourist, you have to make a stop here. It’s iconic. There’s a bunch of shops to check out and stands selling beautiful flower bouquets. Just know that it can get very crowded. Worth a stop though, even just to take a picture of the “Public Market” sign. Right near the waterfront and gum wall.

Pike Place Market is an absolute gem in the heart of the city, meriting a resounding 5-star rating from my recent visit. Wandering through the vibrant stalls and absorbing the rich history of this iconic market was a highlight. While many stalls offer fairly standard fare, patience and curiosity are rewarded with some truly exceptional finds. I discovered a delightful selection of books in several stores and sampled a variety of delicious foods - the key here is to nibble and taste your way through. The real surprise lies in the upper levels; the 3rd and 4th floors house unique and intriguing shops that feel like a treasure hunt, though much of the merchandise gave off a charming 'yard sale' vibe. For anyone on a tight schedule or visiting the city for the first time, Pike Place Market is an unmissable destination. It encapsulates the spirit of the city, offering a taste of Seattle's culture, history, and culinary diversity in one bustling, colorful location.

This place has everything you could ever be looking for. I went with a tour group on a rare slow day, and I had a great time. I had a plane to catch, otherwise I would have spent all day there. Awesome products, and you can support small, local businesses. Bring something to carry your purchases, but make sure it doesn't have wheels.

I just felt that this place is legendary. If you are in Seattle, you need to come visit Pike's place. They have best of sea food you could find anywhere else on the planet, amazing and very rare shops including that of art, collectables and cosmetics. Food is as good as it gets including the very first Starbucks in the planet. Although I don't suggest having anything there... I felt their coffee are worst than their regular outlets (FYI: I hate Starbucks).

Visiting Pike Place Market gives you a taste of true Seattle life. It’s a cultural mosaic, where the passion of local farmers, artisans, and entrepreneurs is on full display. The market offers an escape into a world where each turn brings a new delight—from the world-famous flying fish at the seafood stalls to the delicate beauty of local flower arrangements. The Market Theater Gum Wall, with its quirky charm, adds to the offbeat personality of the place. Dining options abound, from quick bites to gourmet experiences, and every meal is an opportunity to savor flavors that are quintessentially Seattle. Pike Place isn’t just a stop on a tourist’s itinerary; it’s a cornerstone of local living.

As a traveler hailing from Buffalo, my family and I had the delightful opportunity to explore Pike Place Market in Seattle, a place steeped in over a century of history. From the moment we stepped into this bustling market, it was like walking through a living museum, each stall and vendor telling its own unique story. Our visit to Pike Place began with a sense of awe as we took in the sprawling expanse of the market, which has grown from a few farm carts in 1907 to a vibrant hub of over 11 buildings. The market's journey, surviving challenges like the World War II era and the threat of demolition in the 1970s, resonated with us deeply, adding layers of appreciation to our experience. The highlight of our visit, without a doubt, was the incredible array of fresh food. The salmon, in particular, was a gastronomic revelation. Coming from Buffalo, where fresh seafood is a delicacy, we were captivated by the freshness and quality of the salmon at Pike Place. Watching skilled vendors artfully toss the fish was not just entertaining but an embodiment of the market's lively spirit. As we wandered through the market, each turn presented a new discovery – from small farmers proudly displaying their fresh produce to craftspeople and merchants offering a kaleidoscope of goods. The market's character, a blend of historical significance and contemporary vibrancy, was palpable in every interaction. The charm of Pike Place Market extended beyond its tangible offerings. It was the stories behind each stall, the friendly chatter of the vendors, and the communal atmosphere that truly captivated us. It felt as if the market wasn't just a place to shop but a celebration of Seattle's culture and resilience. As we left Pike Place Market, our hearts were full, not just from the delicious food but from the rich tapestry of experiences we had woven together as a family. It was a reminder that some places, like Pike Place, are more than just tourist destinations – they are living, breathing entities that encapsulate the soul of a city. Our visit to Pike Place Market was not just a day out in Seattle; it was a cherished memory that we took back with us to Buffalo.

A must-see Seattle experience. Great collection of shops and vendors offering a wide variety of goods ranging from fresh seafood, fruits, vegetables, and flowers to handmade crafts, clothes, and souvenirs. Famous for freshly caught fish that are thrown across the shop and prepared for customer orders, it's fun to watch! And even better to eat! Try the grilled salmon sandwich, some famous chowder, or a grilled cheese sandwich from Beecher's. Come hungry, you will not be disappointed! And, of course, pay a visit to the first, original Starbucks store that started it all.

The best tourist spot in Seattle Downtown. If you are new or old, never pass on the chance to visit this place. Although the area is more populous with homeless nowadays, it still shares the charm of vintage Seattle. Also on the left 12 stairs down , you will find the infamous gum wall. Once you are in, there are multiple floors that hosts many stores and farmers market. There are many hidden gems just waiting to get discovered. Walk down on the right and turn left to get to the open space that will give you the view of Seattle waterfront with all its glory.

This market takes days to explore all the nooks and cranies. I would give it five stars but sometimes there are just too many people, best to visit in the off season when the tourist are back home but each visit offer new sights and scenes. Don't forget to check out the pavilion and the wonderful views of the Puget Sound, the great wheel and West Seattle.

Masks are mandatory inside this multi level group of shops. Excellent choices for dining, drinking, food shopping, gift shopping and more. You gotta visit the fish market and watch them throw the fish when they get an order. The salmon jerky is very taste. Simply The Best has the best dried fruits & veggies, nuts and more - outstanding flavor. The owner packed up our choices, and held them for a week while we were on our cruise and did not take payment until we came back to pick up the orders; she wanted to make sure we got what we wanted before she ran out. There is also a bakery that has doughnuts as big as a child's head! That was wild.

What a quintessential and bustling marketplace that is more a tourist attraction than a practical marketplace. For a world that has long gone by from the age old market place system of selling excesses and haggling on prices, this place is heart-bed of the old and the modern all coming together. A must visit and don't worry about asking s fellow tourist to click your picture in return of the favour! Be extremely careful of your wallet and belongings including your cellphones!

You can't visit Seattle for the first time without visiting Pike Place Market. This place has several seafood vendors selling the freshest seafood, some of them will even ship your order to your home for you. They also have the oldest running farmers market with some of the best fruit I tasted. A lot of the vendors will offer you samples, of what they are selling so you know what it taste like before you buy it. Besides vendors, there are several must try restaurants here as well, pikes famous clam chowder, also Beecher's famous Mac and cheese. Also if you love Starbucks you can visit the very first Starbucks ( just make sure you get there early bc the line gets long). Come support the locals

You can find everything from fresh vegetables and great flavor, the famous salmon, chocolates, jams, hot sauces, food, flowers, bouquets, earrings and practically everything is handmade. This is one of my favorite spots, and it grabbed my attention to visit Seattle. 1. I recommend not to drive there because it's hard to find parking, one way drive, streets were tilted like San Francisco. 2. A lot of people like New York City, so walking was way better than driving. We walked from our hotel to the market, and it was about 15 min, which wasn't bad. I saw a lot of Uber dropping off and picking up. The market was full of people, a lot of nice restaurants, seafood shops, fruits, flowers, plaint, arts, everything. The view was incredible.

Great vibes and weather during the Thanksgiving weekend. Famous places all had a decent sized lineups but I would say most are worth waiting for. As a visitor from Vancouver, I would say Seattle coffee is not as good as how it is marketed.

Exceeded expectations on all levels. I could have spent days here. Do not dismiss it as a tourist trap, and definitely visit while you are here. Don’t miss out on Beecher’s, the craft market, every single bookstore, and the Confectionery. Weekends are definitely busier and more businesses are open. Mornings are much lower key and lovely.

A must see experience when visiting Seattle. Nate was awesome and did a Oyster shooter with my wife. The employees here at the market go above and beyond to greet you with awesome attitudes. They show how they throw and catch large salmon across the counter. It was a great place to see them and the entire market with all kinds of local businesses with a wide variety of foods, drinks, flowers, specialty shops and restaurants.

The market is a one of a kind experience and was where we spent the majority of our time in Seattle by far. There’s a ton of shops and vendors selling handmade items. Walking all of the streets, alleys, and halls will take just about the entire day as there are multiple levels and so much to see. For a meal I strongly recommend Pike Place Chowder, it was the best I’ve ever had. The surrounding scenery at the market is also pretty awesome and there are many areas that are great to watch the sun set behind the Olympic Mountains when the weather is clear. Definitely make sure to check out the fish-throwing and stick some gum on the gum wall!
