👍👍 Nice park just down the road from SFU campus. Mountain park with gardens, play area, and large grassed areas. Also, has a beautiful 180 degree plus view of downtown Vancouver and surrounding cities. Off to the side there are nice views of Burrard inlet. Big bonus is that parking is free.

👍👍 I really enjoyed Starry Nights, a free event put on every clear Friday night. You get to look through people's telescopes and see planets and faraway galaxies. The volunteers that run the observatory are excellent as well. Stop by if it's open, you will enjoy it.
