Church of the Holy Spirit

👍👍 Worship the Lord in silence. In the silence of the heart, God inspires us and thus speaks to us. Silence also allows respect for the personal conversation and prayers of others.

👍👍 St.Jerome church on Marjan Hill is one of several well preserved churches you will find in the park. This dates back to the 15th century and is a 3km walk from Split town. Behind the church you'll also see the Hermitage Caves carved into the cliff face. You'll also get great views of the sea and isl...

Church of St. Dominic
Catholic church
👍👍 Across from the Silver Gate of the Diocletian Palace is Saint Dominic’s Church. First mentioned in the 13th century, it acquired its current structure in 1682 and was widened at the beginning of the 19th century. Church of St. Martin
Catholic church
👍 Cute little church in a former guard corridor above the golden gate. Although you can be outside just as quickly as you are inside, the price is moderate (children free, 5Kn per adult) and interesting. Greetings to the very nice, good English speaking nun at the entrance.

Church of St. Nicholas
Catholic church
👍 A small (catholic I believe) church located on the walking trails within Park Suma Marjan - a short uphill walk from the Marjan belvedere viewpoint. There's not much to see but it does have a water fountain where you can top up your water bottle before venturing further into the park.

Church of Our Lady of the Bell Tower
Catholic church
👍👍 This small clock tower is located next to the loggia and below it is the space dedicated to honoring those who fell in the Balkan war. The Tower stands out for its peculiar red roof. I recommend visiting it if you visit Split!

The bell tower and the Chapel of the Holy Arnir image
9
The bell tower and the Chapel of the Holy Arnir
Place of worship
🫤 The environment is beautiful but can not enter the chapel or climb to the bell tower. The main access to the interior of the chapel is protected by an unclean glass wall that quite disturbs the clear view inside. The bell tower built on 18th century is dedicated to St. Arnieri (Sveti Arnir) of Split...

Church of St. Mary Magdalene
Catholic church
👍👍 It was first mentioned in the middle of the 12th century and was originally dedicated to St. Lazarus and St. Mary Magdalene. From the 17th century only to the latter saint, in the people called Manda.
