👍👍 The long distance boat from Kollam to Alleppey doesn’t run any more but they do a 5 hour round trip on Ashtamudi which is great. It costs 400 rupees for a lower deck seat, plus 100 for lunch which is tasty. The boat leaves at 11:30. The views are beautiful, and on our boat we ended up having singing...

😐 Perfect spot to spend the sunset . Ferry service is ok but the jetty is not. No proper jetty constructed here so you have to board the ferry from the river bank . And it's full of muddy clay and stones . You can also cross the river with your bike at uluberia but it's risky if you have a heavyweigh...
