Portally Cove Beach

👍 Lovely coastal walk of an easy 30 minutes each way from Dunmore car park (online guides making this a 2 hour plus walk are utterly wrong) to Portally Cove. The cove is safe for swimming at all tides but there is a very strong westerly current running from just outside the cove so only expert open wa...

👍👍 A lovely spot. The beach is so calm, and perfect for a swim. I'd defiantly recommend to walk up to the pink bench up on the cliff. Lawlor’s Beach
Beach
👍 The most popular beach in Dunmore which can lead to it becoming crowded at times however it is popular for a reason. It is the largest beach here so there is adequate space for everyone. It is sandy rather than rocky and it is located in an area with very safe water and lifeguards are on duty often.

Tramore Beach
Beach
😐 A popular beach by chance. Busy in the summer.
The sands is not really that great. Parking at 50cent per hour, lots of space. Public toiket available near the road. Long strands of rocky beach, for long walk.

Saleen Beach
Beach
👍👍 A childhood favourite and still mostly the same unspoiled beach that I remember! Only downside is it's popular with noisy jet skiers 😖

Woodstown Beach

👍👍 Large straight beach. There are picnic benches up by the bar. Also a bottle bank. Full of shells and some nice stones.
And it is very very peaceful. Love it.
